Undead Prince of Chaos well you also gotta question what about the photos of it make them fatal, with just photos you usually cannot see the entire thing anyway, so what about an artistic depiction would be ultimately different from a low resolution picture?
maybe you know this but scp classifications are based on how difficult they are to contain. If there was a button that could cause the entire world to blow up, but didn't do anything unless pressed, you could put it in a box and not ever worry about it breaching containment. the thing in the cave doesn't try to go anywhere, so as long as you don't go into the cave, it's as safe as an scp can be.
It seemed off to me that they implied that the foundation thought the cave entity was the princess. We had a detailed history of what happened with her but nothing describing anything which would turn her into that. The gap was a red flag
Kind of reminds me of the Irish myth of the Mileasians coming from Spain to conquer Ireland which was originally inhabited by gods and fairies known as the Tuatha de Danaan (tribe of Danu) who where themselves fighting the evil monstrous Fir Bolg. The curse of the fairy princess reminds me of how the goddess Macha in Irish myth was forced to run a race while pregnant, and after winning the race, curses all the men of ulster to have birthing pains in their greatest time of trouble. I may be grasping at straws here, but it sounds like someone had some influence from Irish myth.
It actually should be classified as Thaumiel. A rarely-used classification for anomalous objects that are used as containment for other anomalous objects. The way I've heard the classifications described is thus; "Safe" if you can put it in a box and it'll stay in the box, "Euclid" if you can put it in a box and you don't know if it'll stay in the box, "Keter" if you either can't get it into a box to begin with or if it can easily get out of the box, and "Thaumiel" if the object is itself the box.

Hmm, methinks 4812-E is better kept in the vacuum of space, or maybe simply a vacuum chamber (preferably with double-layered vacuum-insulated walls for good measure) in a foundation facility. A vacuum is the best insulation, 4812-E will suck up all the heat in the chamber, but the exterior should remain at a reasonable temperature. The only place that would be an issue is the floor, but the foundation could either well insulate the floor, or somehow levitate this thing. Better yet, they could probably run pipes under the floor of the vacuum chamber and use the properties of 4812-E to chill coolant to near absolute zero. Other than cooling things, you could even use said coolant to drive a heat engine and basically get a perpetual energy generation system. That could potentially turn this thing into a Thaumiel entity. Wouldn't it be funny if it turned out 4812-E would violently explode, releasing all the heat it had absorbed, after it had absorbed some arbitrarily large amount of heat?
Yes! Finally someone with some physics knowledge, i was like wtf the whole time with how they depicted the confinement mesure... @@void8617 as a confinment measure, it does not and it would be a Thaumiel entity if you want to have it cool down stuff to produce electricity. the thing is if the entity does not move, there will be a gradient in temperature that will be either a kilometer wide or a meter wide depending on the material used, and the fact that it used metal to contain it shows just how stupid the idea is as if i used a material with a good thermal resistance, we'd need only a few meters worth of such material to insulate the whole thing. but using molten iron, which has very little thermic resistance and heating it doesn't make sense as you can accomplish the same thing using dirt and a barricade...

maybe you know this but scp classifications are based on how difficult they are to contain. If there was a button that could cause the entire world to blow up, but didn't do anything unless pressed, you could put it in a box and not ever worry about it breaching containment. the thing in the cave doesn't try to go anywhere, so as long as you don't go into the cave, it's as safe as an scp can be.

Undead Prince of Chaos *pretty sure it was sarcasm*
Real Nito Oh. I didn’t consider that
It seemed off to me that they implied that the foundation thought the cave entity was the princess. We had a detailed history of what happened with her but nothing describing anything which would turn her into that. The gap was a red flag
Sebastian Yu It’s most likely because YASH is inside of a cave, and it was stated the princess was imprisoned underground

So "K" is Koh from that season 1 episode of Avatar where Aang couldn't show it any emotion or it would steal his face
I mean if you try to be scientific and stuff, do your freaking job and ask a physicist, or someone remotely knowledgeable first, it kinda breaks the immersion for anyone having some knowledge of physics...

it's just i don't mind having some willing suspension of disbelief when it is related to SCPs, but when it doesn't concern them anymore, you need to be coherent with the physical world as you know it.
@@recouer I mean the solution that the author came up with makes sense, heat the area up around it, preventing the area from freezing.

About the only thing wrong with this, is that a perfect reflector would be extremely visible. I mean, you might not be able to work out what it looked like, because it would be lit up like a Christmas tree ALL the time. To be invisible it would need to bend light around it's self, so you're constantly seeing what's behind it. Other than that, wowser. This IS canon to me.
