guys, IF you want to learn hiragana, just don't use romaji (latin letters / alphabets). memorize and practice the sound of each hiragana, just like what the native does. because i think japanese is, obviously, a diffrent language than english. so the Japanese speaker know best how to produce the sound. it's like we're starting from scratch of learning a new language.
I am tamilan my native language is tamil I learned the hiragana letters very easily because in my language we also have these same sound letters in the order you read.I am really stunned when i learn Japanese
The amount of people not knowing that し, ち, つ and ふ are still written as "si", "ti", "tu" and "hu" in rōmaji even though it's pronounced not the same way is astounding. They write it that way for consistency. For example "chan" is usually written this way so that foreigners can read without problems but it should be written as "tyan"(ちti+ゃsmall ya+んn) officially.
The first easy way to learn Japanese hiragana is to use the five bases: a, i, u, e, and o. When written in Japanese, they are あ, い, う, え, and お. Then, how to memorize the next sequence of letters in the alphabet after this? K,S,T,N,H,M,Y,R,W. Just write this next to the a,i,u,e,o, which is the base of the a,i,u,e,o, that you just wrote. Ka,Ki,Ku,Ke,Ko Sa,Si,Su,Se,So but be careful with the last W. The W can only be a,o, so wi, etc. is not possible. The last letter "n" is the end. It is easy to remember how to write if you actually try to type by using the keyboard of your smart phone with Japanese romaji input.d(˙꒳˙* )
し is sounded as "shi" not "si" ち is sounded as "chi" not "ti" つ is sounded as "tsu" not "tu" ふ is sounded as "fu" not "hu" but somewhat between. if を is a particle it is said as "o" not "wo" These are right i'm sorry.

@liloyim how
@liloyim that goes for pitch accent,, for the pronunciation of kana it's better not to learn romaji or it'll mess up your pronunciation anyways

Tip for beginners: "を" (wo) is actually pronounced as "o" but you use "wo" in typing.
Japanese syllabic structure is extremely similar to Russian. I think Russian and Japanese sound very similar
Alright so the Japanese "n" is the equivalent of our English "z" same placement within the alphabet
