These videos are a tremendous help to not just learning what things are but also to pronounce words in Japanese as well as reading. I know what the Hiragana is pretty well but I have to stop and think about everything.... Let alone whatever it is! Thank you so much for these tutorials!

It is good that you "... have to stop and think about everything..." the more you do that the faster you will be able to read and write Hiragana ... then Katakana and eventually Kanji. Keep writing and speaking Japanese it is the best way to improving your speaking. Good luck !! 🙂

@@rambo32404The Zi and sya use to be the way romaji was done and taught to Japanese people. Overtime the Zi has changed more to Ji and the sya to sha. Its not technically incorrect, just a little outdated now. Usually you can tell if a Japanese person is older or younger depending on what romaji they use.

  • @shintje

Spelling error at 6:21 たぬき = ta nu ki = raccoon. Also at 10:40 かいしゃ = ka i shi a --> kaisha due to し and ゃ becoming sha. At 15:36 じどうしゃ = ji do u shi ya = jidousha = automobile.
I'm a complete beginner and watching this to learn, so it is kind of nice to notice the errors :)

Absolutely! You should definitely acknowledge the progress you've made-reading under time pressure is no small feat! And hey, silly mistakes just mean you're pushing yourself, which is how you get better. Revisiting these levels is a brilliant way to track your improvement, and it’s awesome that you’re already feeling more confident in Japanese! Keep at it, you’re far from useless-you’re crushing it! 😊💪

Really excellant video. Beautifully done. You could make and sell the words as flashcards. Make it a digital download. Do the students a favor with tough love and remove the romaji crutch. Romaji addiction is a nasty habit and very difficult to break. It has taken me about 4 months of serious work with a really good tutor to get away from it. 😁

Very proud of myself because I’ve been studying for 30 days now and I could read all them without getting it wrong the only reason I got some wrong was bc of time but I didn’t spend more than 10 seconds on the level 4 but yeah ! Only annoying thing is that I only knew what like 30 of them meant now that I can read I just need to practice the meaning (and obviously kanji 😡😭)

Wow, 30 days of studying and you're already reading everything with barely any mistakes? That's amazing! 🎉 The fact that time was your only challenge on Level 4 shows just how fast you're picking this up. And don’t worry about the meanings-now that you've got the reading down, it’s only a matter of time before you master the vocab (and Kanji 😅😭). Keep up the awesome work, you're totally crushing it! 💪✨

been learning Japanese for like 2-3 weeks now. I can read most(ish) of level 1 but I have no idea what they are xD

Hey, for only 2-3 weeks of learning, being able to read most of Level 1 is a huge win! 🎉 Don't even worry about not knowing what they mean yet-that's just the next step. You've already got the reading part down, and the meanings will come with time. Keep up the great work, you’re on the right track! 😊💪

I've only been learning hiragana for a week, I can read everything here, but I have to pause especially at level 3-5, is that normal?

    • @JapaneseSuki88
      @JapaneseSuki88 3 місяці тому

Absolutely, that’s totally normal! You’ve only been learning Hiragana for a week, and the fact that you can already read everything is seriously impressive! 🎉 Pausing at Levels 3-5 is expected, especially as the difficulty ramps up. Your brain is still getting used to recognizing the characters quickly. With more practice, those pauses will get shorter and eventually disappear. Keep up the great work-you’re doing awesome for just a week in! 😊💪

    Level 2:
    Successfully read all ✅
    Level 3:

    Level 4:
Correct 24/25 - AND THAT WAS THE LAST WORD 💀💀
Oh nooo, I broke it! I almost got everything correct, but I wasn’t focused while reading "ゆうびんきょく".
Well, I read it as "ゆうびんきょ" and didn't read the "く"
