Hello Andrew, I have just returned last week from a drive around Loch Braden and then up to Irvine and a ferry over to Aran, and a hike upto Goats fell, and back again, Love that part of the world and some of the best folk I have come across, that tent looks great, shame they dont do a 2p version trek pole tent. I have subscribed.
Mine was too narrow,so I turned it into a quilt,I sewn some loops on the zip webbing, added some elastic shock cord, and use it in conjunction with my trekology ul80,also added a foil sleeve to the mat made from a foil picnic blanket,it all works a treat and has no restrictions.
I think you made the correct choice of location Andrew 😉 a room with a view right enough ⛺ some great shots of the evening sky and a good review of the sleeping bag 😴 atb Brian 👍
Hi Andrew, started watching your UA-cam channel after it was mentioned by Paul Messner, working my way through your back catalogue and enjoying them all.
Very nice spot 👍Was walking along the coast today from Alloway to Heads of Ayr looking for camp spots. Funnily enough I was planning on heading to the Maidens tomorrow and walking back along to the Heads of a Ayr and checking that side out and possibly taking the tent 👍 It's still to be a bit windy though and it's a westerly wind tomorrow so there would be no hiding from it😐. Possibly either there or sawney beans cave if I decide to camp.
Very refreshing to see a coastal camp...........always useful to hear your views on kit.....The big brand-named bags are way over-priced......good news on the forclaz, lets hope that continues.......really enjoyed this one Andrew.....ATB.....Stu...👌👍
Cracking location and a nice quick camp, You don’t seem to have any clutter around or in the tent, do you pack really light taking just what’s needed? Yes it’s certainly peaceful out that way, that’s the beauty on Northumberland as well so quiet, Keep em coming
Nice video Andrew I tho I had clicked on the wrong vid when you where walking to loch Bradan then you switched locations lol. Creat camp bye the sea 🌊 ATB Tam
Great video Andrew, so what would you give th ebag in a 'out of 10' review, and for £150 and under would you buy it again or go for something else? Out of interest which Naturehike bag were you considering?
9 out of 10 so far, warm, light, packs small and fits me comfortably, no issues so far ! The one I had considered and might still be better was collinsoutdoors.com/collections/sleeping-bags/products/naturehike-upgraded-ulg-sleeping-bag?ref=andrewparkoutdoors
Have you tested this bag in any cold weather yet ,? I just bought it yet to try it out. Got to say it fits great and we'll thought out shape . It looks slim but the XL one I bought is really skimmed out where you need it for keeping heat but offers room in other areas to move ok. Also the zipper is good a lot less snaggy than most bags I've had or tried and I like how it zips over the top off your torso into your lower face and eliminates the need of a draught collar which I always find a right faff as a side sleeper. The hood is also really good on this and quite often an afterthought on many high end sleeping bags, a lot are useless which is a pain when it's part of the design of the bag
The coast won hands down for sure , what a view and that pitch was waiting for you . Will be interesting to hear how the new bag performs in the hills 👍 A coastal camp is on my wild camping list for sure ⛺️ , have you got rid of your hero 9 ? Atb Dave
Hi Dave, yes the Hero 9 was so unreliable it put me off ( tried two with same issues ) . So just went back to phone a year ago or so. Pixel phone contract is nearly up so may try filming on iPhone Pro 13, couple of voters I watch get really nice visuals out of it. A
Thanks for your support. I think the quality is slightly better than than the GoPro though obv the phone is more delicate. I could also do with a wide angle lens option on the Pixel like the GoPro, keep cutting my head off in close up. Could be the 6 pro has that, I know the iPhone 13 pro has and I'm thinking on changing to that . ATB A
Wow, that sky! So peaceful that Andrew, thanks for sharing. Glad your bag was toasty. Here's to many cosy nights. Cheers D

Never tried the ultralight quilt option everybody seems to be rating these days, maybe need to give it a try 🤔

Cheers Brian, need a chilly hill camp to give it a proper test but like it so far.

Awesome, thank you Steven.
Sometimes a change of plan can make a perfect night. What a spot I’ve still not managed a coastal camp but definitely on my todo.
For a Plan B it worked out nicely :-)
Cool to see someone using this tent as I've had a look at it online as a possible tent to get. Lovely location to pitch as well.
Liking it so far , simple, strong , light and spacious. A
Beautifully filmed with some smashing captures. I know exactly where that is ;) Your coastal decision fully vindicated.
Very kind, old galaxy phone on loan! Cheers for the support 👍

Thanks Stu, much as I love gear I do try out the lesser big budget stuff...necessity !
Great location, I visit this area a lot and always thought that would be a great camping spot.
It really is!, dead handy for the car too ( well that spot is ) . A

It wasn't the video I thought I was going to make but enjoyed the heat and view in the end :-)

Just down to about zero at the weekend, had it over my shoulders but haven't needed the hood yet, so far so good !
@@AndrewParkOutdoors not cold at zero then Andrew?
All good, I'm a warm sleeper admittedly though,!

Great location/camp me owd cocka 👍🙂
So would you recommend the Google 4a phone more than those big fancy cameras or go pros?. Great channel by the way.

Hello, would you recommend this sleeping bag or there are better in this price/weight range?
I think its great for the money. There are a few lighter ones at the same temp but generally much bigger bucks.
@@AndrewParkOutdoors thanks!
That was a really nice location .The tent looked quite at home with the scenery ,and the filming was absolutely fine. Nice wee video Andrew ATB
Cheers Graeme, that tent is a great colour if you need to get rescued, not exactly stealth ;-)
all good but for the blue tent, just not for me
Yep, only handy in that colour when you need rescued 😜
