we need to go back together and go to that tea house, its decided. and omg the top of the volcano with all that mist/rain! incredible!!! im so glad you had a wonderful time and could share it with us ahh!
omg we definitely do!! I NEED to back there, it was absolutely magical. And I knoooow Owakudani was lovely. Hilarious that we couldn't see anything (so I couldn't really take the photos I was being paid to take), but I found it really dreamy as if I was up really high and surrounded by clouds ~
I keep forgetting that you're not more popular. Your videos are such high quality and you put so much effort into them. Not to mention you are a joy to watch, so calming and aesthetically pleasing. I know you're moving back to Australia soon and I hope you make videos about living here. There's so few aussie youtubers and it's so nice to have people online that I can properly relate to. I especially loved your Tiny Towns video. Keep doing you :) you're amazing Edit: What show were you watching at 12:45 and is it good?
Awh you have no idea how much this means to me 💛 I'm super sad that going home means no more out-and-about Japan vlogs, so your comment is really, really heart warming. And the show was the second season of Mischievous Kiss! (Or, Itazura na kiss). I love it. It's very shojo, cliched and troupey but there's something really sweet about it. It's just really cute and endearing to watch. The first season is much, much better than the second season, though!
Christy Anne Jones I think we often forget to tell people how much we love what they’re doing. Your videos have a similar feeling to Ghibli. Also out and about Australia vlogs would be amazing if you would like to make them :) thank you for sharing yourself with us
I understand the fear and intimidation of going somewhere by yourself, especially when you’re more of a closed off person. I’ve been living in Austria for like idk 7 years? So I had to go on a 2 hour train ride to visit my mother in the capital(where I lived before) and I was sooo nervous of getting on the wrong train and such. But it was fun as well, it was my first time going somewhere that far on my own and I felt a little more independent and free.
It's funny how nerve-wracking little things like that can be for some people. I totally had the same feeling. I liked knowing that I could gallivant on my own and still be completely happy and peaceful, and nothing was going to go wrong. I'm glad you got that experience too 😊
Your videos are beautiful and magical. I hope I get the chance to experience Japan sometime in my life. Please never stop making videos. You are amazing! ❤
Such a lovely and beautiful vlog! I will definitely keep Hakone in mind for a trip in Japan, especially this cute teahouse. Your video made me look forward to autumn even more, somehow. :)
Love the video! I really like the music! At first I thought you were wearing the yukata wrong (right over left). Then I realized it was a mirror reflection. Very tricky!
I always forget which way is the correct way! I just tied it up, and didn't think about it until after I filmed the clip. I hope it was the correct way hahaha. And thank you!
Apparently it is left over right so that a samurai can draw their sword smoothly. If you imagine drawing a sword with your right hand, you should be able to run the hilt over your body without it getting caught in the fold. I'm not sure how true the backstory is, but it's a fun and easy way to remember.
Omg I love your videos from Japan. It makes me want to go back even more. Even in the rain it is such a beautiful country ❤️. I love Hakone. When I stayed there we didn’t go on the pirate ships but we did see them cos they sailed past the hotel we stayed at. Thanks for another great video
I went to Hakone at the end of June 2018. I didn’t get to see a whole lot, but I thoroughly enjoyed what I did get to see. Hakone is so beautiful and peaceful; it reminds me of the small town that I currently live in. I could see myself moving and living in Hakone. I hope I’m able to go again in the future. 💞
Yay I’m so excited to go to Hakone in October! 🙌 we’re planning to do a day trip rather than a stopover so I’ll see how much time we can cram everything in, but if we get to go to that tea house we will because you were so effusive!
OMG YES PLEASE GO! ~ There's heaps of English support, and it would be so pretty in autumn. The staff were LOVELY, too. I hope you absolutely love the tea house! You can get there by bus pretty easily (no need for a taxi, as I found out later)
Love the style of your videos. I feel like I'm entering a storybook world when I watch them. Even though I've been to these places, I feel like I am looking at footage of a different world.
Until now I was never able to fit Hakone into my schedule for when I am in Japan. But it looks really nice, I definitely want to go there some day! Maybe on my next trip ^_~
Aaaahhh your watching mischievous kiss 2!!!!! Btw your entire video was absolutely amazing - now I’m making a huge bucket list of everything I want to see in Japan ❤️❤️ Update: now I’m rewatching the opening credits for mischievous kiss 2 and experiencing all the feels 😆
Omg the opening song always gets me (both first and second season). Like, to the point of almost tearing up. I only watched it six months ago--how is it already so nostalgic???? Hahahah and thank you!
Oh, my goodness, how gorgeous place, imagine how beautiful it must be in autumn, if it's so fabulous even in summer. :) Though that part about seeing Mt. Fuji made me laugh, sorry. :D
BC I was there for work, I had to speak to a lot of Japanese staff/PR people throughout the day and the person who I was talking to at Owakudani found it HILARIOUS that I was sent to take pictures on that day ... hahahahah I found it funny, too.
I have always LOVED your videos, they have such a beautiful aesthetic! I was wondering if you could tell me what is the name of the song in the beginning of the video?? I've tried searching with lyrics but come up empty-handed! Thank you for sharing with us!!
do you work with studio ghibli? because wow I love this. It was so relaxing to watch :") Thank you for this video, and congrats on the 10k! girl you DEFINITELY deserved it 💛
no ones ever excited when I speak japanese. maybe cuz i'm asian. or cuz I'm a man. or both 😂 but in all seriousness I'm glad u enjoyed ur time there! 👍
You could for the swimming area in Yunessun--where the pools and things were--but not for the onsen :( I would have brought a big bandaid for it (though, to be entirely honest I'm not 100% on whether that's completely approved. I think it is, but I'm not sure). I just can't believe I forgot out it! And thank you!

#TeamChristy 🌼
THANK YOU SO MUCH 😭
Hakone is so beautiful, love your video, and every scene is feel like in an animation movie made by ghibli or like garden of words, xoxo
Thanks so much! Every second in Hakone, I felt like I was in a Ghibli film. It was pure magic 😭
This video is absolutely beautiful!!! The music, the footage - gorgeously done! One of my favorites ☺️ Thank you for sharing 😊

I love your content, it's so wholesome and relaxing.

The correct way is left over right. Right over left is reserved for dead people. ^_^ I think you got it right.

Beautiful video.
Just in case you visit the onsen again, you can hire swimwear there to cover tattoos
