That should tell them both something. Jamie's always been Eddie's closest confidant. He's her friend, but he also is able to understand and recognize where she's coming from in a way that no one else really can. Jamie's more of a closed book, but he trusts Eddie with certain information that he can't say to anyone else.
I love the smile that Jamie gives at the end saying to himself" Suck it Barry"
Jamie's trying so hard to keep the boundaries from being so blurry. Eddie's right about one thing, though. I think there are somethings only another cop would understand, which is why Danny rarely brought work home to Linda. I love how emotional the whole baby-kidnapping thing was for Eddie. She tries to put up a tough front, but she could barely hold it together when Jamie was there. (P.S. I don't think Barry will last long. He's like Josh -- okay with dating a cop in theory, but can't handle it in reality)

When Jamie says, about plans, "Not to be secondo fiddle", and Eddie replies, speaking softly, nearly whispering "No, you're not"... This melts me everytime

Last time it was Eddie telling Jamie she didn’t want to be a consolation prize, and now he tells her he doesn’t want to be second fiddle. Both times the other verified it wasn’t the case. Very sweet and I suspect we’re approaching the end of the road if this cycle between them. Time to fish or cut bait. :)

I was looking forward to these uploads Alice . This one of the best Jamie and Eddie episode I have seen in a long time especially the ending. Hopefully this is the start of them getting together. Great job as all always Alice Thank you.

Alice Blue- I am 58 years old and disabled so I watch a lot of TV. I fell in love with Jaime the first time I saw him on this show as I had been a fan of Will before. I looked forward to his snippets on that one night a week. Recently, when they stopped showing he and Eddie for a few weeks, (seemed like months), I wrote to the Station and told them that I was done with their show. Then I discovered you on UA-cam and I was ecstatic. I check my subscription every day to see what new things you have posted. I just want you to know how much your time and effort means to me. I can always see a J/E minisode in it's entireity. Great job!! Thank you!

The way she plays with her ring necklace right after he agrees to go with her... maybe she's just suddenly playful since she really wanted to go with him... or maybe she's intentionally trying to put thoughts of a ring in his mind.

Leah Herlan I think that is Eddie's favorite jacket.
She wore it in "the between the sheets" scene with a scarf and in many other scenes in season 7 and 8.

SpiritualLight 4 - I feel this scene is the turning point. This basically told Jaime that she needs him .... she had cancelled with Barry before to go out looking for Alice and the baby. This was the 2nd time she cancelled with Barry. Jaime asked her if they were going to have to talk about it all night. I think he finally told her how he felt about her at least he had the chance. Just him telling her it was not good for him with her and Barry going out. She looked shocked.
I noticed in episode 22 that they were back to normal and talking about their spending of their 5 million! They were together in very scene. Just saying!!! Plus why ask her to marry him in the morning??? IMHO
I think the dinner takes place days after the shooting; after this there must have been paramedics arriving to place and visiting them, detectives' investigation, maybe a talk with the Commissioner, as we have seen in other case when an officer was involved. I think there must be about 10-14 day in the story time between shooting and dinner. So they had time to realize what happen, talk about it openly e declare themselves to each other. A that point marry proposal could have been just a formality, because they already had open their eyes and their mind to what their hearts knew since forever: they love each other, they respect each other, they can't stay without each other, they want to spend their life with each other. Even the vows, I think, are just a transference into words of what they feel.

This kind of reminds me of when Eddie told Jamie they can't be each other consolation prize. Only with Jamie being the one to say a similar thing to Eddie. I don't know why. Maybe that's just my head. But, I got that vibe in that ending scene.

Alice, I think you need to do a video with Eddie and Frank, the Hospital scene, where he offers her any assignment of her choosing! And the scene where Eddie comes to Franks office about the Sergeants exam. It’s like Frank knows more than he is supposed to and she is going to be his daughter in law.
Alice, Great, I am looking for them. I think Frank has been getting his information from Erin. Frank is always saying he knows everything, because he is the Commissioner!!!
They are definitely having more honest conversations.

Who doesn't love a good, long awaited, love story. This is a great one! I've been a fan of this show for a long time, but I think I've only been watching reruns. I have never seen some of these close moments, especially the engagement announcement, on TV yet. I'm guessing it's season 8? I'm embarrassed to ask what is the original air time and station so I can watch the current ones?

If this another tease it's a pretty cruel one. The tension between them is awesome. The slow burn seems to have ignited into a small flickering flame, here's hoping but not really trusting CBS to deliver a happy ever after

Barbara Eilbeck We will get thru the next 6 nights!!! I'm just soooo torn about this!!! It's all sooooo clouded!! The writers are messed up!! In a way I don't like the way they write Eddie. They do have a way of making her flippant about the whole thing. Jamie is made to be the level headed one, stubborn by the books etc. Like why make them dance such a lovely dance & make us hope for romance!! They should have just written it as a one night stand or friends with benefits. Jamie DID sleep with Dana & admitted it was an ON/OFF thing with her - I think upon hearing that status Eddie was like "Hmmmm interesting - maybe the eagle scout isn't sooo scout like!!"' Jamie has confessed the only thing left is that I'm taking YOU - you're mine action & hopefully we get it next week!!!
Fil M yes I hear what you say they do write her in a cavalier uncaring manner at times. But they are in my opnion the only two on the show who have anything like the intense charismatic relationship that these two have. When Will and Vanessa interact on the show regardless of what words have been scripted for them they zing wordlessly with each other. Surely CBS have got to capitalise on this to breathe some fresh air into the show.

I think Jamie has finally realized his feelings for Eddie and seeing her Barry is not something he wants to see. Hence why he tells her "is not good for me". The whole situation stinks but twice he hints that the situation is uncomfortable for him. I think Eddie getting shot made him realized how deep his feelings ran. I didn't tape the promo for next week but it said something about being emotional and I think it had Eddie shooting at something.

@@SternenruferinPatchouli1 I think Jamie needed some competition for Eddie's attention at this time, after they had the close call with her getting shot before. Both of them have changed for the better after 4 yrs, imho: Jamie has grown a pair and does not allow her to push him around (quite as much); Eddie is more appreciate of his value and isn't so squeamish about their feelings for each other anymore. She sometimes drops the rough act, which I believe he likes. Imho!

Actually, BB doesn't do season-ending cliffhangers. They usually have Frank and his kids together in a non-dinner setting, and he tells them how proud he is, etc. What I would like to see is Frank, Danny, and Erin together at a bar. "Where's Jamie? He's supposed to be here." Someone calls Jamie. Scene cuts to Jamie's phone on a nightstand, ringing. Eddie's voice off-camera "Aren't you going to get that?" We see Jamie's hand come over, mutes phone. "Naw, I'm busy". Rustle of sheets, and Eddie says "Jamie!" with a mix of shock and delight in her voice. END SCENE.

My happy thought would be Jamie late for Sunday dinner again and turning up with Eddie introducing her as Mrs Eddie Reagan that would definitely take their breath away. Fil M we are on episode 15here in England the boring ones with no Jamko. I noticed that about the love for ever ugh !! it was like a farewell. I only find out what has happened via twitter and Alice on a Saturday morning. I think I will set my alarm for 5.a.m. which would be 12.a.m your time so I can kinda discover what has happened Will Estes is a bit of a worry though but as Jamie says maybe we're over thinking it

Monae Doyle I don’t think so. Jamie made it pretty clear that he well despite the feelings they have for each other he thinks that they should just stay partners. Barry shows up right after her shooting, Jamie despite his feelings and talk with Erin backs up and leaves the way open for him. She probably thought what the hell I might as well *but* is realizing that poor Dreary uhm Barry is not working. He doesn’t lessen the ache for Jamie so......

The name of the character is Edit Janko, Not Jamko.
I've typed this so many times my phone predicts what I type lol. Jamko is their ship name. When you want characters to enter a relationSHIP you give them a ship name. Jamko comes from JAMie Reagan and Eddie JanKO. It's a combination of their names.
