When i was 14 years old i discovered system and just loved it for the perfect balance between heavy and soulful imo and it was just great music to me. 10 years later I am now 24 and still to this day system remains a massive influence on the music that i write even though it is not with in the same genre's but now that i am older and can actually understand the lyrics to there music and how confronting they are to the real problems in the world made me put this band at the above number one spot on my list I personally do not have a favorite System Of A Down album as well....I fucking LOVE them all every last song would be more then overjoyed to see one last album from them in a few years

The first system song I hearf was suite pee, and it was like nothing I had ever heard, the vocals were so unique and it was so heavy and dark. The Chops Suey video is the first time I saw the band on mtv, and from then on they've have always been in my top 5 fav bands.

I remember they came to Soundwave Australia in 2012 and I BEGGED my mum for tickets but she was worried the crowd would be too rough to deal with as I have anxiety in large crowds... With their touring around Europe coming up I hope they make their way here!
Zane Lowe's one of the worst interviewers.. He pretends far too much to be such a fan of everyone he interviews but it's really obvious he doesn't give four fucks about anything the musicians say and just wants to hear himself speak. It's telling when the best questions in a 15 minute long interview come from fan submissions.
yes! you can easily think at first that it's the other way round.Mesmerise has more bold music but at the end hypnotise with teh lyrics and everything is more powerfull,mesmerise is way happier as a record
Yes and no. If you really pay attention to serj through out each album he had his mind made up by the end of toxicity. I'm grateful he did that last double album with the band its easily they're most powerful session recording but it also makes me sad listening to it cause you can feel hes pushing himself as hard as he can on that record cause he knew it was the last one he would do. The whole situation sucks
Ani: Daron, you gave too much of your power to Serj. SOAD will still be SOAD without him. I’m sure it meant a lot to the community that you’re all Armenian and he’s become an important figure there, but you’re all artists in the end and know it’s about the art. Armenians don’t even make up the majority of the fan base. My suggestion is to find a new lead vocalist who has a wide technical range including gutturals. Someone who won’t be intimidated by your leadership and involvement. True leaders respect each other. Even if the album isn’t as well received…who cares! It’s about healing and moving on.
