- Proper Education Always Corrects Errors, which is PEACE. Many of us who have reached a certain degree of age are fans of the God Rakim, whose music has piqued some of our interest in the 5 Percent Nation. Recently, a new album cover for Rakim's project "The Rebirth," featuring an incorrect representation of the Universal Flag, has sparked controversy within the 5 Percent community. Born King Mathematics, Sun Born (aka King Sun), and I have been working to address this issue with M80, the project's executive producer, to ensure the flag is properly represented. Through the premise of Proper Education Always Corrects Errors we aimed to produce the absence of confusion with clarity. The album cover went through several iterations, and eventually, the Universal Flag of the 5 Percent nation was removed from the artwork. Do the knowledge as we build on the importance of cultural accuracy and the role of outsiders in our community. It was a simple mistake that was corrected. We 10 toes down on insignificant things like this but when it matters we are nowhere to be found or heard. It's not like he said something disrespectful about the flag. I'm 100% down with the Gods and the 5% Nation of Islam, and the principles still guide me at 54. I'm not saying the Gods were wrong or right for addressing this but Rakim's unreleased album cover that was already fixed, is nothing to argue about. Can the Gods make the streets a little safer for the Earths and the creams? Let's talk about that!

In all fairness I aint never seen King Sun at any nation function, aint heard him build on no math, or degrees, and aint never seen anything he has done for the nation including tbe babies. But Masta Killa has done them all. So why would HE think that Masta Killa who HAS done all of these things comes amongst the Gods, always builds on our lessons and nation in his music, and adds on for the babies would not be a good pick as far as representing G.O.D.??? I’m a friend of Rakim, his manager, and his family. Someone sent me this video and I must say this interview gave me a way better understanding of M80’s intentions and how this project came together. I too shared some of the same concerns as the gods. I also have been in the hot-seat just like M80 is over some art work I made using the NOI flag.
Artistic expression is a reflection of any culture and sometimes mistakes are made and someone will correct you on it. You just have to be humble and accept the correction even though it’s uncomfortable. I asked Lord Jamar to help me when I made some NGE gear to be careful not to use the flag offensively. Going forward M80 should definitely use a consultant since he works with so many NGE members. Peace
M80 was purposely slipping in the bullsh!+. Why would a non original, who is a khazar Jew have the unmitigated gall to even phantom or suggest such a cover. He should've felt uneasy for the thought, even entering his calcified brain.
M80 you gotta study 35 to 50 years before you come amongst the Great Gods and wear the Greatest and only flag of the Universe...and if so you gotta add a sword to the upper part of your flag, then we might could trade a lil sum'n sum'n.

There is a thing called the benefit of the doubt. This man has been to the Nation of the Gods and Earths what John the Baptist was to Jesus. He introduced the Five Percent Nation to the globe. He has so much on his plate that he has to have other people oversee aspects of his work. Someone dropped the ball. I'm sure if Rakim hasn't fixed it yet, he will. But man...how are you going to call him suspect or cancel him over that?
Why isn't rakim in this cypher? Is he not accessible to the nation he claims?? How invested is rakim in his nation? Behind the scenes does rakim stand firm on the principles of the nation? Why do outsiders feel comfortable to make decisions without consulting the elders or a representative from within the nation?
Reading your post, it seems like this probably speaks to a much deeper issue than a simple album cover.

I'm happy to see that in 2024, people are still willing to engage in discussion with outsiders about the use of our icons. The flag was clearly incorrect, it was addressed and people watching these kinds of videos can gain some knowledge about how important our flag is to us and about it's correct presentation. My words to anyone curious about our culture...... don't let Hip Hop and books be your teacher about 5%. Allow Hip Hop and books to be an introduction. I speak from a brother who used to be a part of Dr York back in the nineties. I came up on the knowledge of self when I was 14 and met a lot of 5% as when I became 18 years old and I began to learn from the 5% nation and it is one of the best lessons that anyone could obtain especially as a young black youth in chicago. I respect the flag in fact I have the flag on my wall including the image of the father and Rakim whose words from the video move the crowd actually save me from dying that night that I saw that video so that will always be an impression on me plus the fact that it got me and my father even close because he was familiar with the 5% nation by way of the Nation of Islam I hope that the 5% nation starts to rise again in culture and in Hip Hop like we were back in the day because it saved me and I hope that you all remember that these lessons was to teach to Youth and raised young men and women to a higher consciousness please do not make this lifestyle fashionable like wrap his done with the drug scene and this horrible vision of what men and women are today. I saw the moon go over the seven but I was thrown out of the nation because I started studying things outside of 120. Who told me to say chakras or studying things like the Qingyang meditation method but regardless I still use the supreme Alphabet and the Supreme Mathematics it changed my life and nobody can take that away from me. I'm not a member of NOI. Reapect to you all. I came here because I knew something was wrong with this album when I heard it. M80 sounds like a bullshit artist. He tried to calm things down. But the flag was a clue. I feel like his dream was more important than the music. The album quality isn't there. It's packed with features that don't fit.

When the picture was shown of M80 holding Michael Muhammad knight's book: "why i am a five percenter" i Automatically knew that he was greatly influenced by his works, and got most of his knowledge of our culture from him. Michael Muhammad knight is a Caucasian muslim and author that spent years around the ALLAH SCHOOL IN MECCA (from the early to the mid 2000s) being taught about our teachings and history by the first Borns and elders. In turn this devil took a lot of the information he was given to publish many books about our nation, with a lot of false information. I love when a person holds their truth regardless of another's approach or sentiment coming speedily. Sometimes people search for crumbs to make others appear as bumbs in a subordinate context. This video and thread are allowing people outside of the Nation of Gods And Earth (like me) to see that Rakim's rise as the most famous Five Percenter on the planet has not set well with a lot of people within the Nation of the Five Percent. These ill feeling have probably existed for decades.

The seven is wrong. Moon is wrong , the star is wrong. In addtion to it being placed within a European crest that had a crucifix on it, which does not align with the teachings of the 5 percent.
