    Yes, some things are a bit hard to get off the window with water fed, but you could always use a bit of soap on the brush for first cleans. Loads of bubbles but it soon rinses clear. Failing that you could use a big scraper for the first time and once that is done, it usually stays good with regular cleans.

    HI, I would only recommend doing the tops only with a trolley and do the bottom windows trad where possible. This way, your barrels will last longer. You can do roughly 4-6 tops on a barrel. It will depend on what sort of work it is and how dirty. On maintenance cleans, this works well. If you can use 25ltr barrels it is best also but you can get a larger backpack now called the "Big Boy" which can carry about 25ltrs. This is a good way to get into WFP. Don't be afraid of a good flow rate because although you might use a bit more water, you will get a good rinse and you will be much faster.

      Though I have not used rainwater personally, it is an excellent option for anyone making the effort to collect it. At 10-12 ppm you could actually clean the windows with this and it will not leave any spots. If you use a small DI of say 11ltrs, the resin will last you a long time and it will take it down to 000 easily.

    @akmura Hi akmura, I made these trolleys myself. I will be putting together a series of video's showing how I did this but it will be a while yet. I still use the backpack though since it is light and maneouvreable.D & D systems was mine but I gave up due to lack of interest.

    Hi Billy, I don't usually charge that way but I guess it's about 50p which works out ok for the North East. A small semi would work out at a fiver including the doors.

    You should be using yellow (or any hi-vis colour) hose that is visible to the public, you will be liable for damages if someone trips on that black hose, even if you have signs out.

    Yes, if you can afford it and have the work to justify it, it's a no brainer. There are going to be advantages to both systems and some carry both.

    Water fed is fantastic! I feel its so outdated using ladders, if you have always done then that's what your used to I surpose, but for me anyway, Only problem is first cleans, I did a house yesterday that had tree sap and alsorts on the windows an the water alone just dose not seem to shift it! did start to miss the soap lol

      Yes this has been done quite a bit before but would be impossible for most rounds. If you can get a very tight area, you are on to a winner.

    hi chris you got me convinced so its trolley for me to start wfp system, how many liters of water approx. does 11 ltr di vessel clean before needing resin change ? keep up video's you have given me some great tips... still love my wagtail

      Hi Mac, great news your into a trolley system. If you go down the DI route, you should first of all buy a TDS meter unless you already got one. I would not use a DI for water that is much over 100ppm as it will rapidly become uneconomical.
      It's hard to say how many litres you would get out of it without this info.

    nice videos, how much do you charge per window?

    Hi Christopher, why go through all the trouble with the trolleys when you can just connect to the outdoor tap of the house you're cleaning.?

      +Jay man It's a totally different way of cleaning in the UK. We do about 20 houses a day here and they are done every 4 weeks. There are no screens to worry about and I get about four or five houses out of one barrel. I trad the bottom windows mostly so it saves water.

    Great project but how do you purify the water? I don’t see any filter on the trolley

    • @MyWagga
      @MyWagga  5 років тому

      I use a DI and put it into the barrels.

    • @cekay1209

      Interesting ... A DI tank inside the barrel or just the refill... I mean, you put the resin thing inside the barrel?

    • @MyWagga
      @MyWagga  5 років тому +1

      No, I just fill the barrels every day using a DI, then load them into the car and just swap them out when empty. Mind you, I am now using back packs.

      Got it. You purity the water before putting it in the barrel. Thank you for explaining!
