Jose Feliciano has been a favorite musician of mine since the 60's. I got the chance to see him live five years ago and he was just incredible and his musicianship is way beyond grand. It's amazing to see him de-tune and re-tune his guitar into different keys mid-song. He is tuned in alright!
what a fucking genius tuning on the fly like that and not missing a note, right down to compensating on the neck while he was doing it.... unbelievable

The lead singer and I played as a duo Bill and Tom at the MonAmi and some other clubs in and around OC in the early 60's.

Slash is great and would be in awe of Jose...but then it's just generational...we love our own heroes....Slash would probably love to perform with Jose ...cause he's also a true believer...grace in the form of notes...it would be awesome to hear them both...

Hes played with great guitar palyers like "Carlos Santana" (in a version of Samba Pa ti), and also spanish flamenco players like "paco de lucia".
