Judge was hugely charismatic on Seinfeld and in other roles. He's a wonderful actor. He has terrific presence. For me, he shined brightest in Ruthless People. I loved his character, I loved the movie. It's a mad movie. It's funny. It's clever. It works.
He was Kelly's, Carrie's, and Holly's gynecologist on the King of Queens. Good gig.

You appear once as a guest star and have to shine but NOT take it away from Jerry and he was so good and goofy and memorable and i see in real life he is terribly nice and happy guy. I missed the "i should have done more" ref to Shindler and the victims? I never got that line making sense in the script in that scene, NOW i do!! Genius those guys!!

I remember watching this episode with my mom when I was in grade school. She got up to use the bathroom when Reinhold pulled the gag, I tried explaining how hilarious it was and she just sat there silently and I realized “you have to see it to get it”
I hate it when I'm watching something with somebody and they go to the bathroom. Even worse is when you realize they're not paying attention. Drives me nuts.

fun fact! ever since this episode when anybody gets too close i think of this episode and laugh inside and in the moment try to pay attention but fail horribly because of Reinhold, a scene that lives on.....forever!

I love Judge Reinhold's work over the years. Sure, it was always goofy, innocent, wacky, and often a little TOO implausible, but somehow it always worked! 🙂

Growing up my dad had a friend that was a close talker and looked a lot like Judge Reinhold.
The episode blew my mind, i didn't know close talker was a thing. He was the only guy i ever ran acrossed that did it.
Now I have to go and watch that Seinfeld episode.

It’s “disconcerting”
His height is menacing. His character is a really genuinely jolly nice guy. He's sweet and enthusiastic. And when he gets too close to people he frightens them on accident.
My favorite Reinhold scene is in Ruthless People, where he’s being held up by Bill Pullman’s idiotic character, trying to steal the briefcase full of money while being surrounded by the police.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm robbing you!"
