I live in Pa. I have been feeding birds at my house for 30 years, about 8 years ago turkeys started showing up at the feeder. Since then they show up most everyday. Many nights of the year they roust in a 200 year old oak tree, up in my back yard. They mate in our yard and the old toms and hens come to die here. Back in Dec. during a deep freeze we came home to find a old tom who had been here for several weeks dead in front of our garage door. When I played back the security camera a couple of toms ran him down he collapsed in front of the door and one of the toms pecked him to death, it took about an hour for him to die, brutal. After watching them over all these years my hat goes off to them, what a tough life to live. (Should have been our national bird)

Turkeys are so majestic, they are my favorite animal. They are just so iconic, and I can’t deny tasty
Though, I would only shoot a turkey with my camera.

A turkey is any gamebird that belongs to the subfamily Meleagridinae, one of three extant subfamilies included within the family Tetraonidae, the others being Pucrasiinae (Koklass Pheasants and Fossil Relatives) and Tetraoninae (Grouse), there are three extant turkey species within two different genera, the American Turkey (Meleagris intermedia), the Mexican Turkey (Meleagris gallopavo), and the Ocellated Turkey (Agriocharis ocellata).

I think we should be looking at armadillo destruction. I believe they're competing with turkeys for bug protein.
