I made a circle jig for my proxon with a piece of cardboard taken from an old 3-ring binder. I cut a channel down the middle from one of the short ends. I measured from the end of the groove (in the middle, not at the edge) 1/2 inch and marked that spot. I pushed a thumbtack through there. I glued a couple chopsticks for the guide and glued them on so the point of the thumbtack was centered with the cutting wire. Works like a charm! Love your work, keep up the great job!
Thanks 😀 and you could use that method with a bunch of different shapes, just nothing with a concaved surface. It's worth looking around your house for interesting shapes 👍🏻
Hey S&S! You don’t do so bad yourself!! I’m a sub. I find myself most attracted to multi-functional, classy looking terrain with some original style for good measure. Alan’s stuff is some of the best out there. Don’t forget to throw some candles at it, when in doubt.
@@StarshipsSteel hope you get back to it (easy for me to say!). I specifically like the couple different pillars you did (and tomb entrance). Lots of pillars have been crafted, but new takes are really refreshing. Anyway, even if you just do it for fun-let’s see what you can do!! Cheers!
This was a neat, really simple, build idea. You executed it wonderfully. The idea to first to use a hex lid and then your own circle jig was inspiring! Thank you for the great ideas!
You're so welcome 👍🏻🙂 give it go if you have a hotwire table, and remember the guide you use can only be used to make shapes of a bigger size, so find something fairly small and hard so that it won't bend against the fence on the proxxon 👍🏻
Thanks for the question shoutout! This is another excellent looking build. Just bought a bunch of second-hand jewelry for the same reason, to have a bunch of extra chains and such bits. I also love putting moss on basically any 'old' stonework!
You're welcome buddy, it was a good question. Hope I addressed your issue well enough. I love extra little bits and bobs on my terrain, it always makes it feel more immersive
Just found your channel and your work is a great resource for terrain crafting ideas. Also really enjoyable to see the careful attention to detail. Really gives your work character!
As always, you’ve given me some really good ideas. Liked the idea of using the hex-shaped lid you used to make the pillars. Going to steal that one for sure.
It's an easy technique 👍🏻🙂 , just remember you can't make anything smaller than the guide you use, you can only make shapes bigger, so find something fairly small and hard that won't bend when pressed against the fence 🤙🏻 glad I could give you some good ideas. Thanks for watching 😁
Indeed I could have 😅 on this occasion especially. And even if I was putting the candles on a wooden base, I could have drilled a tiny hole for the extra length of paper clip to slot into, giving it more strength. But at the time I didn't think of that 😅 or maybe I was trying to save money on paper clips 🤣 we'll never know
Top notch, mate. This was a really great craft build. Love all the details, especially those candles. Did you use EVA foam? It looked softer on camera than XPS. I just discovered your channel today and I subscribed. I look forward to more great videos. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, --Bo
Nope just XPS foam, I think the xps in this country isn't quite the same as that found in North America (not sure where you're from). But it does the job...sort of. Thank you for watching, and thanks for the sub 👍🏻😬
Yet another great build made even better by the details. For the spell page part...did you print on colored paper or did you print the whole thing, including beige background, on white paper?
Thanks buddy 👍 so a step by step of the spell page is, 1. Take a sheet of plain white A4 paper 2. Stain it with tea/coffee like you did in school 😀 3. When dry, place it in the printer and print out your desired projects on it using just black ink 👍🏻, no beige background required

They're super easy to make, mine doesn't look as good as the shifting lands jig but it works just fine 👍🏻😀
Just starting my journey into crafting for DND and I appreciate the detailed walkthrough. Fantastic work. Cheers!
You're very welcome, I'm by-no-means an expert, but glad I could help you along 🙂👍🏻 thank you for watching
The attention to detail is excellent! The proxxon tip with the hexagon shape is a great tip. Thank you.
Thanks 😀 and you could use that method with a bunch of different shapes, just nothing with a concaved surface. It's worth looking around your house for interesting shapes 👍🏻
Great build as usual. Clever use of found objects to help your builds.
Thanks bud 🤙🏻 little details like that really help to immerse players in the terrain
Dig having circles and such in the dungeon. Totally adds something new to the standard boxy dungeon. Good show here.
Thanks bro 👍🏻yeah I agree, just gotta mix up those shapes, add alcoves, and different textures and dungeons look so much better 😀

@Harriet Craig Thanks for the kudos! Appreciate it! Sorry, there hasn't been a lot of content, especially crafting content!

Thanks dude, super simple as well 👍🏻😀

Aww thanks very muchly 😊 glad you liked it
I love the candle trick. I will definitely be adding it to my arsenal of tricks!
Please do 👍🏻😀 glad I could help. I do enjoy it when I can find cheap and easy tricks that look good as well
Very nice design! I'm already want to see what you do next.
Well, there's more to come for this ritual circle 🤫 so stay tuned. And thanks for watching 👍🏻
I wish I could thumbs up more than once. Great craft and those candles are amazing!
Aww thank you 🙂 the overall build is quite simple, but I think the little details really help spice it up 😅
I'm new to the hobby... And I'm loving your videos, it really helps me as a base line to my own work. Thanks.
The stone weathering is very nice
Merci beaucoup 😎🤙🏻 and I'm glad you enjoyed it

That's very much appreciated, I do enjoy the little details 👍😀 thank you for watching
Great build, thanks
Thank you for watching 😬
Great work and some very good ideas. Make yourself a better fence for your Proxxon using Legos. Works awesome !
Spot on idea mate, thank you very much 👍🏻😀
That is awesome
Cheers dude 👍 and thanks for watching. Currently working on things to accompany it 🤫
just found your channel. It is quickly becoming a favorite. Keep up the great work.
Cheers bud 👍 😀 thank you for watching
Great job man!!!...I m doing my own well using your previous tutorial
Greetings from Chile...👍👍👍
Oh awesome 👍😁 I like it when people build stuff I've made 😀 thank you for watching. And greetings from the UK
Thanks for breaking down something that looks so awesome, into a step bye step that I think I can do. I just found your channel, you've got a new fan.
You're very welcome 😀 thanks for watching 👍🏻 got plenty more videos up for you to watch so go nuts 😅
Just started following you. Nice work. The candles and little add ons look simple to do, and make the altar that much better. Well done.
Thanks buddy, it's all about those little details 👍🏻😀
Great job with the candles! Hadn’t seen that technique before.
Give it a go 👍🏻 chances are you don't have my fat fingers so it should be even easier 😅
if you cant find styrene tubes (or dont want to buy them like my cheap ass), Q-Tip handles work just as good :)
Agreed ☝🏻 for some reason I can only ever find Q-tips with a kind of hard paper like stem 😕
This look really good :) gg!
Thanks buddy 👍😊

In regards to that star... did Wylock just get out-maths'd?
Erm...I'm unsure what you mean? Did Wylock do something with a pentagram? I'm off to check now 😅
If you made the paper-clip longer than the candle you could have used the extra to push into the base.
Indeed I could have 😅 on this occasion especially. Hexagons are from the future.
They are 😅 what about circles though?

Iron Gryphon Studio Nice. Did a bit of lovejoy on it. (Though that reference might be before your time).
Make a far realm triangular room with three right angles.
😅 that might be a little beyond my ability
"Linear"
Yesss linear 😅 that's the word I was after
