I appreciate the consistent quality in the kicker lineup. You maxed all of em out pretty good and the only one that gave you even light problems was the one that was clicking. Impressive! Hope to see more companies allowing you to check their subs out for us!
Iv learned so much watching you channel I'm 57 years old and love what you are doing
Kip and the crew at kicker has in my opinion the best customer service as a manufacturer goes, they go beyond hands down and there podcast is a must watch for a new car audio individual or a person that like me that has a MECP and Basshead since the early 90's. Kicker for the win
You should test most efficient subs.. what gets you the most bass with the least amount of Watts... Something on the lower range like 300-500 rms range. These massive subs need to much power and upgrades for the average person.
That’s actually not true. Research it. For subwoofers the lower the sensitivity the easier it is to reproduce bass. And there are also written tests about it online. I had a JL audio. Got rid of it because even at the same amount of watts my sundown audio sounded louder and deeper. Also sounded more clean and rich.
Kinda why I like kicker they literally go less then 1000 watts rms on everything except the 15 inch L7’s or Comp Q’s yet they pound
Man I had the little JL Slash 250/1 and two 12" w1's in a work van... That sh!t killed..! People constantly accused me of having another amp hidden....lol In the late 80's I had a Kenwood (real Kenwood not cheap Best Buy Kenwood) amp that was only 75w per side and a pair of 8" Pyle truck boxes (Pyle also used to be a high quality brand) in a VW Bug and that sh!t rocked...! you're ears would be ringing when you got out...lol
These huge wattage subs and amps are a marketing scheme to cater to big egos... and is unnecessary, people were absolutely killin" it with just 100"s of watts in the late 80's and 90's...
But the companies know that people are Excellent Consumers...! LOL
@@2869may I agree with you for the most part but I don’t understand exactly. Because Kenwood at best buy is real kenwood lol, they don’t have a secret stash of “this is our shit product that we sell at Best Buy”
I really appreciate all the work you put into you're videos. You've come along way. Been with u from the beginning.
Now I actually like this subwoofer. Really shook your SUV nice🔊💪💪
great video! absolutely loving this kicker series. would love to see like a full wrap up and your thoughts about kicker subs as a whole!
I like how smooth this sounds on low frequency . no motor noice . but not budget
Friendly. More higher end type. Nice video review
Nice. Who ever win the compq you will love it. I had two 10in not to long ago. You will have some fun. I recently upgrade to a single 15!
Congrats on the channel! Youre always super energized about it and have something good to say about even a crummy product. Way to go!
I bought the q class square 15" 3 years ago about. The corners of the surround broke after a year of playing. The box I built maybe was the issue. A 3.2 sqft sealed. I powered it with a JL 1000 amp. My electrical system could never let that JL scream so I know it wasn't over 1200 as the sub was rated. Maybe that's why they got rid of the square q class? Idk I will say though. Best quality sound and on point with the beats for the q class. Even when broken. I just left the seat up so I didn't hear the mush.
For full disclosure I will be getting the round q class this year for my new build.
I have always bought kicker and seems like I need this one... for reason.
I have been a big fan of Kicker for a long time! They never disappoint! I could definitely use that bad ass Sub in my ride! Good luck getting to 32k subscribers! You will do that very easily! Keep up the good work Parker
I have the Q class 12's and the Comp VX 12's These subs perform excelent in the correct enclosure. If you want good correct bass go with kicker, if you are just looking to shake the hell out of your vehicle / neighborhood without reguard to sound quality, go with sundown or skar.
I have 2 in my wife’s suv and the sound is excellent. I built the box a little bigger than the specs called for. I would definitely recommend.
Hey quick question I bought the 15s did you have to upgrade the electrical in the car to put them in or you running stock
Just bought 2 q-class 8 L7s for my new Toyota 86. Can’t wait to build a sick box for them. They’re both heavy and should be monsters together at 2 ohms, being fed by my JL 900/5.
That sub is perfect for a daily driver 😌👍
I have 2 of the 12 comp Q's and I absolutely love it
The sq will def be better with kicker than other subs in that price range. I've had a American bass and it sounded ok but not as good as the more expensive alpine r's. No doubt they get louder but they lack the r&d that companies like kicker n alpine pit into their product. Def far from knocking any sub I'm abusing skars subs rn n they're loud n handle gobbs of power but lack the sq I had with the alpine. None the less, awesome video thanks for sharing!
Sorry I'm late. Lol! I love the Q class from Kicker. They almost do it all. I love quality sounding bass so I'd definitely buy these Kicker Q's.
I'm happy with my Comp RT's. I have 3 12's under my f250 rear seat and they perform well given the space restrictions.
I have 2 12's kicker comp Q dual 4ohm wired to 1ohm running off an audiopipe 1800 and they pound hard!!💪🏾💪🏾Love the video bro keep the kicker line going!💪🏾
With the energy you have in your videos you should be at 1 million subscribers but road to 100k 💪🏽
I've got 2 kicker comp Q series 12's! I love my Q's, they are so loud! Great speakers!
Congrats on 32k man. Great videos.
I just got 2 comp Q 12s dual 4 ohm wired to 1ohm on a 1600.1 mono amp, I'm very impresses with them, everyone that hears them are surprised they are kickers
I think you should review the Harmony Audio HA-C122 Car Stereo Competition Carbon 12" Sub
Haven't ran a system in a vehicle in a over a decade and was thinking of putting one in my car. I was debating on which sub to get and almost ended upbgetting a Sundown but then I saw a video of this sub and I couldn't resist. Not a lot of content on youtube about it but ended up picking up the 2ohm version, a kicker amp and built a custom box. I always ran dual subs like Kicker Comps and never imagined the bass I could get from just 1 sub with a custom built box. I am beyond happy with my set up and highly recommend this sub if your a looking for some hard hitting bass. My setup is 1 kicker 12inch dvc 2ohm wired to 1 ohm. Kicker 46CXA8001 amp with a ported 2.5 cubic foot box tuned to 35. I do wish I would have picked up the 1200 watt amp but pretty impressed with what I got.
I bet that sounds good I got 2 comp r 12s and I love em I got 2 old school cvrs 15 as well and I love em to lol I've had no issues with kicker
Damn that surround looks good and the terminals are solid however lil bit too close like you said overall I’m
Impressed they did a good job 👍
Love my 2 12" dual 4 ohm CVX'S. Beating the hell out of them for over 15 years now. When turned properly, You'll have bo Issues.
First I give you credit for getting the info out to the masses. I’m now building a new system and I am working on what subs so your channel is helping. I wouldn’t mind it being the kicker
Great video man! You should do a l7 kicker review next.
This is the best sub ive ever seen for SQL at this price point. Had it for years with 700 watts going to it. And it hits incredibly accurate and clean and can take more. Biggest thing is make sure it's in a good box. Mine was too small at first.
What size box do you have? I have 2 compQ12 and looking to build a box.
@@verbadum2298i have mine on a ported 2.12 cubic. It sounds amazing but I believe ported 3 cubic would probably be better.
I have the cxa 1200.1 amp for a single comp q and it might be too much power
finally, been waiting in this forever 😂🎉
Right on man!! My buddy has a hard on for Kicker. I'll be sharing this video with him. I'm still kicking the shit outta my Audiopipe BDC2s. Going strong!! Keep the awesome videos coming dude.
@@davidwillis5116 why is that? You think the bdc4s hitting harder and sound better? I have 2 comp q 12s and they go crazy
@@ssjdavid hey man, iv got one single 12” comp Q 4ohm wire to 2 ohm and the sound is amazing. 2 would be double amazing lol. The sound quality is unreal.
I have this sub. I really like it, it hits super low and has good SQ bass.
i've been looking for a full review of these, thanks
New subscriber, love your attitude and what I want to hear and love the comparisons.
I have always loved kicker subs. If it were in my budget i would definitely shell out the cash for the kicker top of the line sub. Since it doesnt fit in my bidget i have to stick with the kicker low budget subs which by the way are also great 👍
You need a sealed box to do tests in. Kicker subs really love a sealed box. Good job and keep it up
Fuck no lol I hate when people think sealed automatically means better sound quality. Look at most of the SQL competitions and rock competitions all using ported
sweet video man i can see your channel blowing super stoked about my first build huge motivation from your channel 👍🏼
I just got done hooked up my new system and I'm loving it. And now, seeing Kicker Comp Q, I'm so tempting to order and see how it goes. Err, decision, decision...
Amazing job in this video, I'm greatly impressed. Your only running one box which keeps your ideal cabin freq, and your explaining how your cabin reacts to just a single sub which gives other the right idea in building. Question: Have you considered lithium batteries for your SMD meter? Keep up the great work, you'll reach 50k subs no time brotha!!
@@ParkerTheBasshead energizer makes them, I assure you they will outlast any battery you've ever used.
I've been watching your stuff for awhile. Ive learned so much. Keep on going. I also put people on to your channel
Bro i have become a fan of kicker i started with a svc comp c 12 and i thought it was great i have sence moved up to a 4ohm dvc 12 comp R and it os loud af thanx for the kicker vids it gives me a goal, keep it up!!
Kicker is the best by far when factoring price, quality, and consistency
Bought 2 12 ab elites thanks to your videos. And wow ! They’re badass ! Thanks bro !
Everyone’s saying that it’s too expensive but its quality! I personally would definitely rather spl over loud bass, once you experience the quality you won’t want to go back. W for kicker, great video man keep it up
I've been a long time watcher never really comment but you have great video quality, keep doing what you're doing you're going to blow up soon just stay with it.
So fun watching my speakers on your channel!
The people in the comments don't understand that your paying for quality and in house design plus some people like SOUND QUALITY and that's what this sub is built for The car audio community has way to many biased haters and brand fanboys Just rock the gear you want to rock and FTW 👍🏽👊🏽✌🏽💯 #TeamParker
Yes, been waiting for this review. Keep it up my guy. Your vids stand out. Quality content as always💯
Dude, thanks for the review, I have been looking for people who do videos on kicker subs
The box you are using needs to have some anchors put in the holes if you are going to keep reusing it. I would hate to see it get used up and wasted.
Absolutely agree. Its better to use the inserts and machine screws with a fine thread anyway.
Working with machine screws often, I would say #8-24 or #8-32 screws and insert nuts. #10-24 or #10-32 are beefier but might have to big of a head on the screws to fit the mounting holes of the subs.
You can easily break a couple tooth sticks and some woof glue to repair the holes.
I bought on 12inch 4ohm last month wanting to get another one its just really expensive also have an kicker 1800 watt cx to run both with a slot port box this video makes me excited can't wait
That Sub did good and keep up the good work can't wait to see what's next
Kicker preformance is best in a sealed enclosure in my book.. big difference and better overall response
Good stuff like always keep up the good work man you will be up it the big league soon right up with EXO and SMD 👍👍👍 can wait to see
No DO NOT BECOME ANYTHING LIKE SMD His head turned into a balloon In other words he became a COMPLETE DOUCHE BAG just BE YOU that's why this is one of my favorite channels BY FAR 👍🏽👊🏽✌🏽💯. #TeamParker
@@redman4076 your not wrong. I've stop following him because someone asked a question in one of his vids. He talked down on dude for asking a question.
@@jaytaybrae3766 Yep he did it to me personally and I've seen him do it many many other times He's great at car audio but when you treat people like there less than you just because you've U asked a question or maybe didn't agree with him doesn't mean he has to degrade them 👍🏽👊🏽✌🏽💯 Keep on BASSING🔊🔊🔊
I’d love to see you Mitch match yours 12s in your 6 12 box and see what it sounds like
I got 2 12 comp q had them a year and they pound bro great sub
My sub made it. Finally.
Those comp q subs sound really good. Too bad you don’t have a more in spec box, that one looks way too big for it, that port too. They can get pretty loud without a ton of power.
i'm pretty sure that could be built to specs, often they recommend/use small boxes at a high (40Hz) tuning frequency assuming that the cars' cabin will "amplify" the even deeper bass enough to where you don't need a huge box and still get decent output under 30Hz, but proper sub boxes are built differently, with a tuning of 20-25Hz and a large port to get rid of port noise at those deep frequencies, because more indepth builders don't wanna rely on cabin acoustics, and just use a dsp in the end to get peaks out
that will also improve power handling and overall output at the deepest spectrum.
Thanks for sharing. I have always loved kicker products. May not be able to afford it but still a leading product is quality and reliability.
I think I'd spend the 300 on something like an american bass. I have the elite 15 and I love it. Also, if you have a playlist for your bass songs it would be awesome if you could share it. Keep up the great videos!
Your videos are great Parker. Got an american bass xfl because of you and love it. Now I'm considering a new sub with a lower FS rating than 37hz.
Nice video, kicker vs rockfordfosgate video would be dope
You should check out the Crossfire line of 12s. Id love to see a Crossfire in that beautiful box!
Very nice sub. I have 2 type r 12's they throw down looking forward to purchasing the Q after this review thanks bought the type r because your review on those.
you’ll get 32k in no time, just got some kicker speakers would love to add of any of these beasts to complete the whole kicker setup 💪

This man is just giving everyone subs like opera "you get a sub, you get a sub, everyone gets a sub"
like opera.. You mean Oprah ones a person and the other - Opera is what rich people go to and hear people sing wearing weird outfits
Hey are we gonna do a stress test on this? Any guess on how many watts rms they can handle for a song or two? Great vids brother!!
Been waiting on this video like the looks of that sub
Love the vids I've never liked kicker subwoofers cost to much for what they are kinda like JL W7's waist of money but there older kicker zx2500.1 amps were nice.
How do they cost to much for what they are🤔 There is only 1 sub like subs from Kicker, JL, Memphis, MTX, Orion, Rocksford Brands like this have to pay a lot more money because they have there own build houses and they do all there own Research and developing. They do all the Homework so that all these Pure SPL cookie cutter brands can feed off there Research. That cost a lot of money alone plus all the machines and equipment. There is a difference between overpriced and expensive. Like the JL W7 13-1/2 Is still the best subwoofer on the market and has been for years. There wouldn't be Sundown if not for what JL did. Yea its way to Exspensive but not for what it is because it is the only one. If you look at all the test done on Sub comparison It is still the sub that is on top. It is the most Spl+Sq efficient Sub on the market. Yea you can take a sundown and put 6,000 watts to it and spend way more money on upgrading electrical to try and get the same SPL but its going to sound like trash. They hit over a 175 with 4 JL 13 w7 on 2400 watts. No other subwoofer can do that period. These cookie cutter brands are not efficient at all and they go only for SPL and actually are overpriced (Not too expensive) The other brands you get way more quality. If you are going to a competition and putting 12 18" subs then sundown is looking great. But if you are wanting something high quality Efficient and sounds good while still having a lot of Spl then you should go with the big boys.
Great job my dude, been waiting on that Q !!!!
Parker your the bomb man. To many more years and vids cheers 🍻
Had the l7 qclass 12in 2ohms in a huge box in 03 celica and ot took up the whole trunk space but I was astonished with the massive bass that is gave me and air pushing like never before
Ahh I found your review on it. Just bought one 2 weeks ago. It hits hard on a RF Prime 1200x1 in a 2.74 cubic tuned at 30hz..
Way to go Parker keep it up dude don't feel like you got to rush in your videos too bro take your time we enjoy watching one thing that I would love to see you excel in more is touching on proper box specifications on subwoofers according to the TS parameters almost every single enclosure that the company lists for their subwoofers is half the size it should be according to the TS parameters and the port velocity and ratio is way off and I get that the company is trying to sell woofers and if a box is going to be too big people aren't going to buy them but I think it is crucial that people understand how much are enclosure plays into how well their woofer performs cools and how wide the frequency band is I would love to build you an enclosure I see you have one there but I'm talking about one that's specifically efficient for like a pair of woofers whether it's a set of eights or tens or twelves so you can really see the output on my own dime I don't want people to know who I am or who built it but just to see the efficiency out of the woofers you test would be awesome! Keep up the great work bud
That’s a nice sub and actually sounds pretty good
I just got a DC AUDIO M4 XL 15. for 40$ I won it. No joke. It's SO BADASS.
You need that cheap Home Depot Frost King sound dampning on that hatch and license plate. Almost as good as DynoMat when applied properly.
Great job bro been waiting for this
I have two kicker comp Q in a q boom box they hit hard
The CVX pops due to the coil hitting the back plate, that’s it’s personal way of saying chill on the bass knob dog, lol. Anyways Parker, great video keep on doing your thang boy. 👍
I love kicker. Have 4 comp r's right now. So yes I'd get it if had extra funds laying around.
Parker your channel is great and keep up the good work
I plan on installing two amps and 3 subs in my 2002 Dodge Caravans with my nephew my head unit is from Planet Audio and my amp and I have another amp that is Audiopipe and sub is a 6.5 Rockville and my to 12 are mtx audio TNE212D
Love the video once again Parker keep them coming mate I watch u from the uk 🇬🇧

I bought a comp vr 12 and have blown 3 and am currently waiting on my dealer to get another one, But i really want a comp q. Its the best round kicker sub!
Price come down a tad bit made it much more appealing. Also, test videos help convince my wife I need to spend the money so ty!
Its awesome that you show subs to help people make choice for their systems easier
