I wasn’t a fan at first of the haleyville storyline at first- jr on a chain gang? but cally did grow on me and i got quite fond of her after the 1st season she was on the show - i did hate how later jr ruthlessly threw cally away
JR Ewing did not appreciate Cally's love, warmth, kindness and hospitality. I'd say after two marriages to Sue Ellen Ewing and one to Cally, he still hasn't changed a bit because he still treats women as sexual objects. The last two seasons of Dallas was not the Dallas I came to know and love Most all the female core characters from earler seasons left the show. I miss Pam, Sue Ellen, and Dronna, the show was not the same. April and Michelle could never take the place over the other female characters. Susan Howard should have been ask to do the two made - for - tv movies in the late 1990's.

I remember watching Dallas on TV when it was on,, I always hated the last two seasons..Cally, Half breed James,,, the obvious fake Southfork, and then the killing of April..it was getting stupid you could tell Dallas was going to get cancelled soon. Once Linda Grey left it suck too.
Cally was too good for JR, and he was not worthy of her affections. Cally's personality changed throughout her episodes from being naive towards shrewdness.
JR really did love cally JE should have never treated cally the way he did but that was why he wanted to divorce her but then he changed his mind after all
Cally was pretty and a warm hearted person but too sincere and naive to handle JR.
I'd pick Cally over Mandy any day. Cally was pure at heart though naive, but Mandy was an airhead.
