Covers the bases pretty good. Abuse. Theft. Neglect. Rodents. I almost bought a Perception outlaw until I saw the hack job hatch added to it. This can save a lot of people a big headache.

So many great tips but #1 , as you even mentioned first is the HIN! Anyone selling (or even possessing) a vessel that has an identification number removed / altered is a felony and the seller should be reported. The next kayak they try to sell may be your own.
EXCELLENT tutorial my man, looking forward to more!

Great video, The thremo-molded hatch covers, are there any seals between them and the body?

Nice info video. If the kayak has been over modified at one time and has several University of Georgia stickers, walk away , it's probably wore out.

Some sage advice. May trade up but love my kayak, even though it's paddle only. Looking into a little minkota.

I have the Old Town Sportsman MK 106 and have been absolutely pleased with it for its stability, speed, fishability, and comfort. My only other option, were something to happen to my 106, would be the 120 Auto Pilot.
When I go out, I’m looking to fish, not fight the wind and current. The 45# thrust MinKotta trolling motor this yak is built around allows me to do just that. For me, at 6’2” and 200#, and his kayak offers tons of stability, which is very important when fighting fish.

After serval weeks of watching yours and other channel (Flukemaster, Kayak USA) I would like your thoughts on the Jackson Big Sky Pro 360? It seems like a very stable platform and since I'm a older/bigger guy looks to be the best fit. Open to other suggestion on yaks.

You are not going to beat the stability and comfortability of that yak.. I would buy one myself. But.. wet launching it will be key

@@wendellfishing I got some poly coated stainless cable to upgrade my Pescador. Wondered if the burley stuff might be a better move

@@BucktailFishing I believe the Berley stuff is made out of Dyneema... tough stuff

How old is too old for a used yak? 5, 6, 7 years?
