Patience was my key to a good yak, 4 months of looking. Found a perception outlaw on face book for $300. It needed a seat. Ordered a perception seat. Im set for $450 out the door on this rig. Happy days ahead.
i will say that i bought a second hand kayak from nucanoe and they still sent me parts for a few things that i needed...nothing too grand but really nice customer service. the condition of the straps may be a tell if the kayak was left outside which should bring down the price quite a bit. handles, chords, all that stuff can be replaced...seat not so much..big cracks forget it. great video
Pedal drive condition is also a concern too consider , What too look for , gears , wear , Hobie , fins or prop drives , When a new kayak comes out dealers are giving their reviews , Years later no follow up ,
Would I be better suited to mount my anchor wizard on the bow or stern? I usually fish rivers, might take my kayak on some smaller lakes. I usually try and go up stream so I have the current to help me back to the car when I am done fishing/tired. I like to anchor at a spot for a few minutes/break it down and move up.
Excellent video as I’m trying to sell my Nucanoe unlimited. The market is struggling with the used market. Nobody seems like they want to spend money on our investments. And some dealers don’t want to take trade on a full build. I’m having to seperate mine out and hoping it sells that way 😢
@@thebeardedpaddler as far as the mold of the hull. Sorry if my terminology is wrong, I’m pretty new to all this. I’ve had a tarpon 120 for a year or so
I buy a ton of used stuff. How old it is to me is not as important as condition. I have bought 10 year old things that were like new. For me to be interested. Used like new starts at 50% off. If it is banged up. Needs a repair. I am not buying it.
i watched your live show got in at the first 5or6 to have you ask your bonafide friend the ? about salt water kayaks and you whent right it. you ,chad, hons fresh water is all yall will talk about i cant even get bona fide to aswer , i no you sell mostly fresh water thats were you live.
Freshwater is about 75% or more of the industry honestly. Hobie makes a great offshore kayak as well as Old Town. None of them are going to sell to an extent to carry a wide variety of offshore models though.
Waiting for this channel to blow up. One of the most informative on kayaks I’ve seen. You always produce quality videos. Andy.

Good information, thanks TBP!
You're very welcome!
Thanks for watching!
You always do a great job, but I never thought you would post this video, this is fantastic. I really appreciate it.

My question would be if you prefer to fish facing upstream or downstream
@@thebeardedpaddler Facing upstream so the lure flow with the river
@@zachh-w3s you will want the anchor on the bow then
@@thebeardedpaddler Cool. Do you fish up stream? From what I have researched that is the most productive way? I fish for bass.

You should do a video on old town kayaks the best kayak manufacturer in the world....proof me wrong
Hi Mr Bearded. You mentioned a long time ago about your favorite PFD. I cannot find it.

I’m curious why is there such a massive flood of used hobie kayaks for sale
@@04RedFairLadyZ every kayak brand has a huge amount of used for sale. A lot of people that bought kayaks during covid are selling them.
