I think your brand of humor and watch analysis is simply magnificent. It took me a while to realize how funny you are, but now I am in literally constant hysterics from the start of your videos until the end. I also love how much I've learned about watches from watching you. Your what the wife said section is a stroke of genius, and it's so smart that you don't filter her comments at all because the authenticity makes it even more hilarious, and even more useful. Eliot! What can I say!!!? firstly thank you so much for the comment and the superchat!!! It goes a long way in filling me up with caffeine in the mornings to allow me to be so awake come filming!!!:] Humour is a funny thing! What I think is funny may not be funny to someone else which is hard to judge! However Im just true to myself and do me basically! Since I was 16 Ive been an entertainer in one form of another and am constantly reaching to that experience with each show! WHILST enjoying the watches, the edits and speaking to lovely people like you who may not want to take the hobby of collecting watches seriously 24/7! Appreciate this a lot!
I have to say you really are my favourite watch UA-camr. I got my grail watch last month a Rolex seadweller. I was on the list with an AD for over a year with a supply date getting pushed back and even new prices getting hiked. I bought one on the grey market in the end. Funny thing is when I did my watch collecting seemed to fall flat. With that I started to question the time and effort I spend on this hobby. Most of all how serious it gets at times. Your Chanel saved my love of the hobby as did a cheap and cheerful bamford 6900. In my view your humour and editing ability are perfectly pitched to bring some vibrancy to watch collecting. You really do stand out for me. Thanks. Chris.
Chris!!! I am very happy for you my friend! Well done for sticking at it with the AD!!! You must have proper manly wrists to even lift that watch let alone wear it!!!!;) this gives me great pride when I recieve these type of comments ! In 2020 I was definitely feeling the same and felt like others did to that’s why I started this crazy journey!!! It has given me so much positivity from all over the world which is crazy!!! I do these shows for you my friend and look forward to doing the same in 2023!!!!!
I own CASIO W800H (gold font version) and it is very cool watch. It has nice 80's vibes and style. Very clear and large display. Backlight is not that bad.
Great energy and great list, Russ. I'd add the ae1500 (huge display is cool -- like they wore in the movie Gravity), ae1300 referee watch for setting interval times, the g7900 for another moon phase with movie connections, and finally the fugly dw291 (people hate the look, I love it!) All the best to you!
I think I’ve been through 3 of those vibration alarm illuminators. I’ve destroyed 2, and one even still functioned with a crushed case after it was run over by my truck. It’s my personal perfect beater watch.
Thanks for making videos that share so much helpful information in such an entertaining and watchable format. Your content is a tonic in our divisive times. 🎉
H Samuel (well known high street shop her in the UK) have the AE-2100 on sale for £19.99 at the moment. A rugged round version of the Royal at an absolute bargain price.
I bought the watches Casio WS-1400H-3AV & W-800H-1AV after your recommendation. Your channel has incredible content and you are very good. Greetings from Brazil.
The wife section *is* the best section!!! Gets me every time. You've introduced me to SO many watches. Your humor and video pacing is impeccable. Keeps me watching to the very end!
My boy is 11 and has been wearing the F91W for 4 years now. He loves them. Just got him the gold colour face and he's finally taken the plain black off. There are so many colours and they all look great. And I'd say for £40 with a 10yr battery the watch if choice would be the iconic DW290 😉
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR I had to look at pic of a new one as mine doesn't really have any writing left on it. It definitely does not say 10yrs. My first battery lasted 14yrs however. My second battery only lasted a couple of years though. Got it done at the market and probably shouldn't have. Yep, a proper 200m for a watch at that price. Admittedly I've not tested that! 🤣
The Casio W-737 is a good one you forgot about on this list. And as for the strap, it has the longest strap out of all my Casios. I have a big 8 inch wrist, and i think the strap is a little too long. But it does come in handy when wearing gloves.
Great and entertaining show as usual. Always fun to see lists of Casios, especially since they do a gazillion of models I've never heard of. But thanks to you I got aware of a couple more. Keep up the good work.
I collect watches and LOVE Casio digital watches... They are epic I have four in my collection 1) Casio G-Shock G 2900 ...A Chunky 200M water-resistant...I have been reliably informed they can go down MUCH deeper than 200m 2) Casio W -86 ..Only 50M water resistant 3) Casio AE-1000W (It also has a map of the World on it) and is 100M water resistant 4) Casio W-96 H ...Only 50M water resistant Casio digital watches are a must for any watch collector. Long live Casio digital watches. Thank you for this video.
I bought my 12 year old nephew the stealth black Casioak for his birthday a few months ago, and I bought him a watch box and three new Casios. They all have the 10 year batteries and I can’t wait to gift them to him. I saw two of them on this list
Great list! Out of these I have the Casio Royale and the Vibration Alarm W735H. The W735 used to be my gym watch until I started wearing one of my G-Shocks. The Casio Royale used to be my work watch but I work in a factory and the crystal took a real beating in a short amount of time. It's so badly scratched I think a couple of them might actually be cracks. Its definitely getting an SKX Mods kit in the near future. A couple more that could absolutely earn a spot of this list is the Duro of coarse (too big for me) and the DW-291H. The 291 is about as close to a G-Shock that Casio has that isnt a G-Shock. It is a beefy boi but my 6.5 inch wrist pulls it off easily.
Great show, I love your wife's comments! I have a ws210h instead of a 10 year battery it is solar with 100m WR. Also has moon phase and tide indicator and on Amazon for £36 us import 😎
Already have 4 Casios (2 for me, 2 for my daughter) and a g shock wrapped under the tree but I just ordered the light blue John Mayer Hodinkee G Shock and now am dying for it to ship…
For more G-Shock-y designs I recommend: - AE-1500WH (for the visually impaired ^^) - WS-1300H (a cousin of the G-7900) - WS-1500H (a cross between the Royale and the WS-1200H)
Wearing the exact same gold Casio Royale as I watched this. I'd add the DW-291 to your list. Because it's got a 10 year battery and looks like Robbie the Robot.
Ever since buying some Casio watches, I keep noticing them everywhere. Even found an old one in the house that I didn't realize was a Casio. Great video and thanks for sharing.
Hi Russ Funny and bubbly as usual Keep on the great work My favorite is the G-Shock GG-B100-1A9 Mudmaster Have this one since a few years and it’s my go to for all gym, hiking, weekends, etc Even the office
That vibration alarm imitation was as good as you saying "Skmei" like a goblin. Hahahaha 🤣. Some nice new ones I've never seen. Hope to find one under my Christmas three!
Hey there, I was wondering if you have ever compared the beep of different Casio watches? I have started to experience a bit of hearing loss and I find most Casio's to be quiet, especially compared to Timex Ironman Watches and other brands. But I would like to get a G shock for working out. But if I can't hear the timer than it does me no good. anyways, I thought that might be an interesting idea for a video. Comparing the timer alarms from various G shocks and Casio's. P.S. I love your show and I really appreciate the use of your compositions on the show. You and Tim from @Casebackwatches should do a jam session.
Is it weird that I basically have all of those already? 😬🤦🏻♂️😂 Nice man I love when you do Casio vids, I just can’t get enough of them it’s a problem. Haha I recently picked up a W-736H-8BVCF I saw at a store and I’ve really loved wearing it so far. Negative display, awesome backlight, vibration alarm, grey band… it’s pretty dope. 😎🤙🏽 I’ve also been trying to score an oldschool DW-6600 lately, but they seem to be tough to find for a good price 😳😂 Keep up the good work brother! Merry Christmas! 👊🏽😊🎄
Watches I have that meet 100WR and 10 year battery life requirement. They all have 5 alarms, a stopwatch, a perpetual calendar, and a countdown timer. All have serviceable backlights (yellowish LEDs). - AE-1500, chunky watch with BIG NUMBERS that you can read across the room or with your glasses off. Has dual time. - DW-291, also chunky, has world timer, 200WR, and a mineral crystal. Pushers are far easier to push than on a G-Shock. Basically works like the AE-1200 but without the map display. The pseudo-analog clock is too small to be useful. - W-S210H, solar watch with world time, moon phase, tide display, and charge level indicator. Has usable normal 18mm hooded lugs. Fairly loud alarm compared to most Casio watches. Can show either date or 2nd time zone in time display mode (I use dual time/GMT watches a lot). I put it on a very comfortable $6 velcro strap. I like the W-S210H the most, it's not huge, still completely readable, and has all the functions you need, whether you're jet-setting across the world or surfing. The DW-291 is probably more robust.
I have x2 Casio AE1000 one in black resin, one in silver resin with a bracelet. I purchased them almost 12 years ago when I set up my business, I wanted a good work watch. I'm pleased and impressed to say, they're both still going strong AND I haven't had to change the batteries yet!!! What a super pair of casio stunners!!! 😉👌
The $41 Casio 3157 SGW-100 twin sensor, digital compass & temperature sensor, world time, stopwatch, countdown timer & 5 alarm watch should be on your list. 🔥
I use my fishing gear to find the nearest fish and chip shops! Vibration Alarm is an awesome watch, What am I saying, they all are! The AE-1500WH fits this category as well. Nice large display, great amber backlight and heavy with the G Shock vibes!
Another proud owner here of the world timer aka casio royale. You mentioned it doesn't have a great retro or vintage vibe but my understanding is it is Casio's attempt to mimic Seikos G757 Roger Moore wore as James Bond in Octopussy in 1983. So vintage early 80s tech vibes, great looking, excellent functions, and your wife says it looks expensive. Best Casio ever!!??
AE-1500WH-5AVCF meets your requirements, and I have absolutely adored mine. Wear it more than my fancy mechanicals, wear it more than my fancy G-shocks. for 21 USD, it's right up there with the Royale in terms of value.
Nice one, i got the AE-1200 about a month ago and honestly it's even better in person, can recommend it to anyone, unique and the cherry on top...you can mod it to be even more spectacular.
OK I confess I have a couple on the list plus the F91W. The Casio Royale and the vibration alarm are in the collection. I think I also have the W800H somewhere, now where did I put it. I might now have one or two more that I just might have to have a look at. Another cracking list Russ, just in 'time' for Santa.
I have the silver Casio Royale with the metal bracelet. It's fantastic!!! Also, for a more "traditional" watch, don't forget the Duro. I love my blue one.
Russ these are great. Maybe I missed a few videos, but did u ever do one where it’s a list of Casios with the most useless/cool complications? The fish one would definitely belong there. There’s a music one too I think.

Russ these are great. Maybe I missed a few videos, but did u ever do one where it’s a list of Casios with the most useless/cool complications? The fish one would definitely belong there. There’s a music one too I think.
