In 1983 i took my Suzuki RM125 down to the frame, just wheels, no plastic no engine no nothing but wheels frame and handlebars......then i coasted down a steep hill next to my house......best time i ever had
Beautiful bike and a great walk through. I love that Enve is showing up on the DH scene. Enve's headquarters is located just a couple of miles from where I live. Great guys and a great company. I hope to see more of their product in world competition. Cheers - M
That linkage design is so interesting. Any chance Doddy could do a video explaining it? There's lots of stuff out there about horst/dual link but that extra bar between the two makes it so confusing. That would be an awesome video.
yeah that's one thing that annoyed me about saddles, so many are just to smooth, so myself i 3d printed my own with steps or ripped as you guys call it, now so much better for holding position
that was some time ago, they haven't had these issues in recent years, from what I know. I own a Commencal and it is a great bike, mainly due to perfect geometry. Also, when you look at the frame quality and details in compare to other AL frames, it really stands out.
@@tomaskaleta1041 Agree. I even own a 2012 Commencal Premier hardtail, and sometimes using (read: shredding) it through a trail route 😁. Man.... the frame is awesome, and for an old hardtail bike that thing is strong as hell
Best wishes to Amaury - we hope he heals up soon!
What happened to him?
@@gshick I believe a fractured spine in practice
@@gshick fractured his fifth (C5 ??) vertebrae...

I like this thin frame, especially nice to see when most companies are going super thick. Crazy looking saddle.

When Amaury is on it he’s the best !!! Monster on DH bike
Downhill bike is such a monster , not everyone can tame it!!!
“Ribbed for your pleasure” 😂😂
F1 of mtb for sure
It's been great to see all the cool new prototype bits and pieces in the pits this year! Really does feel like brands are pushing tech hard!
DH bike meets tech. I love it!!

I really want to buy one of these but I have seen so many posts about frames snapping that it has put me off

where can i buy this saddel
It looked like that "Carbon" frame had welds ?
Kinda confused me.
The frame is not carbon.
@@michig7561 My bad, from 1min 35secs, they are filming the frame and talking about carbon. My misunderstanding
@@leehorspool9744 no problem 😃 Commencal only sells alloy bikes btw
Good video.
Is it common for pro downhill riders to use aluminum bikes? Why did Pierron decide this over CF?
very common. Plus commencal only do aluminium frames. CF is a sales gimmick for the masses. same as full 29er. most use mullet set up.
220mm Rear Travel on the V5s 0_o
I'm going full send on every jump :D
What frame size is it?🤔
As far as we're aware Amaury is usually on a Large.
I want their bikes
Frame size???
We believe Amaury usually rides a Large.
🙏
Carbon rims and bars. You mean hes not gonna die?
Heal fast champ!
I hope Commencal would collaborate with Supreme and make the logo same as the Supreme hehehe 🤘
CommenÇal!!!!!
throw a 29 on the back for more speed
Nah makes the bike harder to move in the roughs stuff. 29er is for plowing. Mullet for fine line choice
Pretty sure the fastest riders in the world know what's best for them.
Bet they are running galfer pads in the brakes lol
Ye or the trp gold ones. The blue ones are rly Bad idk why to use Themm.
@lakaldrak just realised they are Galfer discs as well, they look great.
