For the first show of the Holiday Run, the stage was decorated with flowers and sculptures. During the encore, parts of the set began to grow and sprout leaves. This stage setup was used for this show only, and disappeared for the rest of the run. Before Sleep, Fish’s drum kit was moved to allow the crew to roll out a small mini-stage with a scaled-down drum set and a baby grand piano. Trey and Mike sat on stools and both played acoustic guitars. This acoustic set-up was used for Sleep, Albuquerque, and Driver. During the Wolfman’s jam, three people in inchworm-like costumes came on stage and danced for the rest of the set. Bowie included a tease of the theme from The Godfather.

Thank you for the upload! This was my first show. 60-70 shows later, it is still one of my all time favorites. Solid show, start to finish. And I never caught another Been Caught Stealin. Would love another, but definitely content if this was the only one.
2020 sucked. Hopefully we get some more shows in 2021. I need it, we all need it.

Excellent New Years run, very diverse from show to show. 12/30/97 may be better, but the other 3 '98 shows reign supreme. I'm a BIG fan of ambient Phish so this and 12/29 are my favs. 12/31/may be the best show on that date (of course Cypress is but that's a whole other beast) We rode the greyhound up from cincy and man what a trip. Stopped over in King of Prussia, PA at 2AM and smoked a joint with a meth'd out trucker. Stayed with a buddy in Brooklyn and did the subway thing. Was on the floor 12/31 in seat G13 haha and some chick in our row started connecting glow rings. Next thing we know there's a snake of rings stretching across the whole arena. Got stuck in a blizzard in Cleveland on the way home and had to crash at the station...hmm greyhound breakfast buffet. Some of the greatest shows of my career.
