To me, that's the definitive line of the song "Friends." It stuck in my memory from the very first time that I heard this ode to your best friend! I always think of my "Best Friend," Tom, whenever this song is played. We had plenty of things that linked us together as "Brothers" and the Beach Boys was our musical Bond. RIP Tom!🎿🎰🔧⚙🩸🏁🏁🏁🏎🏍📞
Brian was as in control on Friends as he was on Pet Sounds. He produced every song, and wrote every song except Be Still and the Dennis written segments of Little Bird. The 'in bed' period is more like 73-75, but even then he went out clubbing at night.
The "bed" period involved Brian partying at night with Harry Nilsson, Alice Cooper and others and sleeping in during the day. Mostly 73-75 as someone else said. He didn't appear at gigs or promos but Friends is a essentially another Brian Wilson effort, with some Carl help and a Dennis song or 2.
