There's no reason to draft a QB anyway. AOC is still a potential stud along with Gardner Minshew who balled out with the Cult's. They addressed the offensive line and added some potential studs on an already elite defense. This is the best draft the raiders have had in about 10 years so I'm not sure what anybody's mad for.

There were plenty of top notch QB's still left on the board they could've taken. Mark Malone out of Arizona State, Eric Hipple from Utah State, Gary Hogeboom from Central Michigan, Kordell Stewart from Colorado, Dan Mcgwire from San Diego State, etc. This was the deepest QB draft in history.

Fuaga or other T would not have been a good pick with Browers on the board at 13! The thing that you are not picking up on is that the Raiders like Mumford. He's not a pro bowler but he's not trash. He's effective and he's really good in the run game, as good or better than Fuaga by the way. Having Mumford offers the flexibility to draft a difference-maker like Bowers in this case. In other words, UA-camrs have been screaming that T was a huge urgent need. TT and AP do not agree with you.
I like your comment. The raiders did address the offensive line. Getting JPJ in the second round was a steal. Sometimes it’s not the tackle who is lacking. In my experience the tackle will block the inside rusher to help out with a poor blocking guard. Getting JPJ will help a lot he is a great interior blocker.
@ Alex. I saw Mayers as as Kittle skill set. Bigger even stronger, but slower. Now with Bowers can play so many positions. At the moment I wanted Flauga. I can agree with Tom T. Something nobody mentions with Glaze is that he looks RIDICULOUSLY different at RT than LT. His tape at RT shows smooth footwork without major oversetting like when he was on the left. He has potential to develop into an even better RT but his senior bowl experience showed he can improve very quickly with NFL coaching. He’s being slept on and rankings had him low due to LT tape but RT tape and senior bowl show why he’s a solid pick in Round 3.
I agree on the QB of not allowing Minshew to start. I want to see AC4 be a little more mobile. He’s not a statue and hes got a strong enough arm to make all the throws and his accuracy is impressive. Little shaky for him at the beginning but he got better each game. He’s been in the facility working on his mobility and foot work says reports. If he comes out and puts it all together I think he comes out balling and Minshew is still a back up..
People forget that in next years draft, they’ll be a lot less QB needy teams and some great QB prospects coming out. Building best available this year and a better Qb prospect next year is smart. You can’t win the superbowl in the draft but you can lose it. We had a good draft for the long term.

True, I thought the same and I can only think he meant lack of practice reps as far as his skill set and what he learned. But he also seems to think there was a QB at 13 worth going for. Hey Alex, Good points but I think this Glazers dude has a ton of upside to grow over the next couple years. I mean we all know these prospects are 50/50 but sometimes you can see the ability and the undeveloped talent. As TT has mentioned that they’re also drafting these players for the next four to five years and hopefully get them all resigned after that. I noticed a common thread about them. From pics 3-7 were their all young obviously and unrefined. With more of a look at their ceilings and potential rather then their faults.. imo
I love Tom Telesco’s pics first year with the Raiders but that third round pit. I am not happy about why would you get a guy that gets beat with speed with rushers now we have to babysit the right tackle position.

The Raiders were going to take a tight end in the draft late. They want to implement a 2 tight end offense. Mayer did a great job last year and was projected to be used even more. BROCK is going to come in and add to that tandem immediately. The guy averages 14.5 yards per catch and a sick 10.2 yards out of the back field I will take that. There will be 8 to 10 hands every play on that offense with stick-em on the ball.

But I am actually fine with O'Connell and Minchew. I want Minchews mobility. But we needed a 3rd Quarterback that can play. The guy they took as an updrafted free agent was a wasted pick. Foolishness... Spencer Rattler was there in the 4th and they let him go. He would have been perfect. He and Caleb Willimans signed with Oklahoma Sooners in 2019 and Rattler started ahead of Williams winning the starting job. Caleb transfered to (USC) Southern California and Spencer transfered to (USC) South Carolina. Both having good Careers. Only Caleb switched the back up roll as the first pick in the draft and Spencer was the last. But Spencer would have made a good Raider 3rd QB.
Joe Montana was a 3rd. Kurt Warner was not even drafted. Johnny Unitas was like a tenth rd pick. Brock Purdy... experts and these keyboard warrior scouts don't know shit either!

Also everyone forgets Rich Gannon was a Journeyman QB until he got to us. Minshew has a chance to do it to. He hasn't had weapons like we do and a great Defense. Raiders have picked up QBs no one wanted even when they preform well and they become our guy. Rich Gannon, Jim Plunkett, Daryle Lamonica. Kenny Stabler was the only QB I can think of in our history that was great QBs that we actually drafted. Minshew has shown enough with less talent that he might be able to do it as well. Plus he can move and create as well. Gannon 2.0? Maybe we will see. I will support either AOC or Minshew who evef wins both have a chance to be alot better then people think. When Kelce retires Brock will be the next tight end talked about like Travis was. But yeah, if you think we should've picked up Rattler at 13 (since he was the only one available at that pick) then I speak on behalf of the nation when I say, we are Extremely grateful You are not in charge of our big board or draft picks. Bo Nix went at 12, Rattler went at 250. Think about that man. 238 picks between the last QB chosen in round 1 and the next. This is hands down the Best draft the Raiders have had since 2014 and it's not even close. B+ total draft grade with a B UDFA grade imo. Plenty of A grades mixed in both but averaging into the Bs, almost an A with our draft.
Should have taken FUAGA in the 1st rnd. Coupled with JPJ would solidified our OL for years to come and give us a DOMINANT OL to impose our will in the run game and protect our non mobile QB
I think BOWERS a badass TE with great abilities in so many areas. Coupled with our other TE he gives us more dimensions. But I'd still rather have Fuaga and a solidified OL.
Draft a QB for what? Where was a rookie QB gonna take the Raiders in 2024? The offensive line needed to be addressed in a major way and Telesco did that. We can draft a QB next year if necessary and it might not be necessary.
The only pick I didnt like was Glaze and then instead of Dylan L I would have drafted SEC leading rusher Cody Schrader but overall we had a great draft and we haven't said that in a long time

But since we passed on Fuaga, a position of need, the choice is somewhat of a head scratcher? Fuaga doesn't touch the ball. His YAC IS ZERO, and JPJ will improve our line more than Fuaga ever could. You guys are sleeping on Aiden o'connell. I guess you don't see what I saw. He was making throws in the tight windows but double sometimes triple coverage but he was throwing it in the right spot so it only the receiver can make the catch. Can't teach that. That's his talent arm talent. He made good calls at the line of scrimmage. Mark my words. He's going to a good quarterback possibly a great quarterback with multiple wins in the super bowl. He plays the game where it should be from the pocket. Not scrambling around getting his legs broken. Getting his head torn off. That is not good football ,not smart to for your career. Play within yourself. When you have the opportunity to strike, take them be fearless and that's what he is. He's very accurate with the football especially hitting guys on the run and his deep ball. Keep in mind that Tom Brady was a 6th round pick. And they didn't think he was that great his first year. Plus Aiden only played a few games last year. I give our team a B+ on the draft. 😊

Alex… you did not properly give Aiden a chance to succeed. You have to give him proper protection up front in order to deliver the ball downfield. Football 101. Honestly ask yourself have we done that?? Aiden is a pure pocket passer just like Jim Plunkett or Payton Manning or Kirk Cousins etc. These QBs cannot win games with their legs only throw ball accurately downfield. Aiden can do the same if you provide him with proper protection. Be a little more patient my friend. Give him some time to develop.

Alex, you must have not watched Aiden O’Connell ball out the last 5 games of 2023. Our coach Antonio Pierce even said it! And I absolutely believe in Minshew. He’s a dawg! A lot of sub par qb’s resurrect their careers with new teams. Have faith and be patient!

@@raideralexofficial of course we wanted a top qb but didn’t happen. So we have to roll with what we got. And what we got isn’t that bad. I do not blame AO for the colts game. In time we will get a top qb when the time is right.
Also everyone forgets Rich Gannon was a Journeyman QB until he got to us. Minshew has a chance to do it to. He hasn't had weapons like we do and a great Defense.
Raiders have picked up QBs no one wanted even when they preform well and they become our guy. Rich Gannon, Jim Plunkett, Daryle Lamonica.
Kenny Stabler was the only QB I can think of in our history that was great QBs that we actually drafted.
Minshew has shown enough with less talent that he might be able to do it as well. Plus he can move and create as well. Gannon 2.0? Maybe we will see.

When Kelce retires Brock will be the next tight end talked about like Travis was. But yeah, if you think we should've picked up Rattler at 13 (since he was the only one available at that pick) then I speak on behalf of the nation when I say, we are Extremely grateful You are not in charge of our big board or draft picks. Bo Nix went at 12, Rattler went at 250. Think about that man. 238 picks between the last QB chosen in round 1 and the next. This is hands down the Best draft the Raiders have had since 2014 and it's not even close. B+ total draft grade with a B UDFA grade imo. Plenty of A grades mixed in both but averaging into the Bs, almost an A with our draft.
Should have taken FUAGA in the 1st rnd. Coupled with JPJ would solidified our OL for years to come and give us a DOMINANT OL to impose our will in the run game and protect our non mobile QB
I think BOWERS a badass TE with great abilities in so many areas. Coupled with our other TE he gives us more dimensions. But I'd still rather have Fuaga and a solidified OL.

Draft a QB for what? Where was a rookie QB gonna take the Raiders in 2024? The offensive line needed to be addressed in a major way and Telesco did that. We can draft a QB next year if necessary and it might not be necessary.

But since we passed on Fuaga, a position of need, the choice is somewhat of a head scratcher? Fuaga doesn't touch the ball. His YAC IS ZERO, and JPJ will improve our line more than Fuaga ever could. Win, win.

You guys are sleeping on Aiden o'connell. I guess you don't see what I saw. He was making throws in the tight windows but double sometimes triple coverage but he was throwing it in the right spot so it only the receiver can make the catch. Can't teach that. That's his talent arm talent. He made good calls at the line of scrimmage. Mark my words. He's going to a good quarterback possibly a great quarterback with multiple wins in the super bowl. He plays the game where it should be from the pocket. Not scrambling around getting his legs broken. Getting his head torn off. That is not good football ,not smart to for your career. Play within yourself. When you have the opportunity to strike, take them be fearless and that's what he is. He's very accurate with the football especially hitting guys on the run and his deep ball. What more can he ask for this guy's a dream and we got him for what the 4th rounder. When the Raiders take the quarterback in the first round they have never panned out. Go back and check your history. You find the gritty quarterbacks in the later rounds. Who are the ones who end up winning all the super bowls. Not the one who has the flash. Go Raiders!
Keep in mind that Tom Brady was a 6th round pick. And they didn't think he was that great his first year. Plus Aiden only played a few games last year. I give our team a B+ on the draft. 😊
Also with an improved def which already proved we can beat the champs without offense and also aoc was a practice squad player thrown to the dogs with no reps and all he did was improve now give him a full off season to improve where he knows he did wrong you’d be dumb to not see he willl be a winner

Alex… you did not properly give Aiden a chance to succeed. You have to give him proper protection up front in order to deliver the ball downfield. Football 101. Honestly ask yourself have we done that?? Aiden is a pure pocket passer just like Jim Plunkett or Payton Manning or Kirk Cousins etc. These QBs cannot win games with their legs only throw ball accurately downfield. Aiden can do the same if you provide him with proper protection. Be a little more patient my friend. Give him some time to develop.

I'm glad we took Bowers, he was the best player on the board at that time. However, 2 things you said. 1. We need a QB in the first round. (thumbs down, won't watch anymore of your crap after this) We are fine with Mineshew and O'Connell. Our O line is 100% fault that Jimmy G. was injured. Both QB's had 1.5 seconds to pass every pass play last year. So you don''t know what your talking about and 2. Who cares what your grade is? you are obviously worse judge of our team than others.
