i`m thinking of getting 1 of these 221`s 350d`s in the very near future, what do you get REAL world mpg, i know whats "quoted", but real world is never the same, would you recommend 1 of these or do you think the w222 is a better buy? thanks jerry
I mean if you can afford the w222 it will probably have many more features and advance technology. The w221 I drive still a beautiful peace or kit, gives me around 50mpg on the motorway. And around town somewhere around 30mpg. It’s a big heavy car, very comfortable though. I love it as much as I would probably love a w222 hehehe.
@@DaringBeefcake thanks for that, i was after the facelift model from 2010 onwards, BUT i didn`t realise they have to have ADBLUE ,i don`t suppose you know the answer to this question, but if you filled your car to the top of the tank with diesel, how many litres of adblue would be used ( roughly) also are there any common faults on the 350d to look out for ? it`s silence and comfort i`m looking for, i was considering a lexus LS430 which are also very quiet, and possibly an E- class, but i don`t think an e -class would be as quiet as an s-class?
@@t5jerry to be honest I dont know the answer to the adblue question however i added 10 liters of adblue last year and have filled the tank many times since and did may be 7000 miles, so it does last, however not sure how much adblue was there to begin with, which reminds me I should add some, just incase...its very quiet car and the e class is also fairly quiet to be fair..I had issues with the front suspension arms squeaking. and the fuel gauge but not sure that is a common one. Perhaps the Lexus LS430 would be more reliable in many ways but i haven't really owned one so not sure how they feel to drive...
Any chance that this is the same on the w222 s350 bluetec 2014 model? I bought the car with faulty fuel level sensor. Mercedes says they don't sell the sensor seprately but I need to buy whole tank and change whole tank. No way I'm doing that...

O my God really, buy and change whole tank, that’s crazy. I hope is not the case. But am not sure it’s the same as w221 sorry.
