i may end up doing this, i grabbed a cluster with trans temp thats supposedly plug and play and is i guess but my trans gauge doesn't work idk if its something with the 80e swap or just the cluster itself, i can read the temp in hptuners though so i know that works
Did this exactly step by step to my 2002 turbo silverado. Worked great. However, on a cold start the gauge reads around 120 degrees. I don’t understand how the tranny fluid could be 120 as soon as it starts after the truck has sat for a day ? What does your trans gauge read on a cold start
I would install a inline sensor on the out from the trans cooler line...your not getting a accurate temp...you would be surprised how much less that electric sensor is reading then the actual fluid temp leaving the trans...mine will say 160 on the ecm and its 180 fluid temp coming out of the trans...
glad this truck is up and running again
I have about 1700 miles on junkyard motor. Been doing good. Still needs retune
Let’s goo 🤙🏾🔥
Clean install. Turbo spool at the end sounded nasty!
Great install video definitely going to be doing the same!
Property of Lake Braddock? I need to get you a Robinson shirt so people will take you seriously, lol. Love the videos keep it up bro.
Keep up youre videos you helped me a lot
Thanks for the “how to” 💪🏼
Where has LS Dusty been...
Any reason why mine works up to 160 then reads zero ?
Nice build
Do you have the part number?

Also. How many qts of fluid did your 4l80e take with trans cooler and aftermarket converter?
Does any gauge work for this? What’s the part number for your aem?

Would this work for a 4l60e ?
I’m not sure. I don’t see why not
