It is interesting how smooth the movement is throughout but when the foot steps forward it is fast.
Yes, Carol that is common. It comes down to the ability to separate the weight in the body accurately. When true separation is achieved we can have control over the limbs:)
I hope you will consider doing this vid in “mirror view”
i got the impression from his remarks (1:32) that it's best to not rely on following a vid' but rather let the principals of movement come from within?
Where to find the pelvis stabilization video you mentioned please?

I’m just starting and there are no teachers in my area of Roanoke Virginia. I really want to get each step correct before moving on to the next. Do you feel that these videos are a good start and do you think I can be proficient without one on one lessons?
Hi Crystal, it is always best to have a teacher to give you corrections but if you want to use a video you can. I would suggest you use my online workshop shop as it goes into much more detail. What is really most important is getting the principles integrated in to the movements, not just learning the movements. This is paramount to success. cainyentzer.podia.com/gsp-level-1-tai-chi-workshop
🔙 Ward?! ☯️
I am 55 yrs old , how many steps per day I should do it ?
Hi Sheel, I would time yourself instead counting steps. The amount of time you practice depends on your ability and what you are trying to achieve. I would suggest practicing 5 minutes if your just starting out and see how your legs feel. Then add a minute or two every week and see if you can get up to 20 minutes.
