Guys if you are just trying to fix the black screen problem, after unscrewing the plate just lift out the battery connector for 10 seconds and put it back in and screw the plate back on. THEN IF YOUR phone was charged before it went black it should turn on after you press the power button if not charge it and then turn it on. This actually works and the video was very helpful.

You are an absolute legend, i smashed my iPhone screen and replaced it myself thinking i was clever> Once I was done the screen wouldn't turn on. I switched a load of screws around as I had been careless and switched some. Luckily I watched this and disconnected the battery and then reconnected. Once this was done I held the power button for 5 seconds and boom screen is on, thanks so much man

I was so hesitant to try this because I didn't know if it was gonna work, but boy it sure did!!!!
I unscrewed the 2 screws from the bottom. And a next set as shown, then 5 at the top of the phone and I pressed down on the black chords he shows.
The screen definitely came on. Thank you!!!!
Sidenote: I definitely did not have those tools but I used an eyeglass screw to open all of those
The iPhone 6 Plus has 4 of those black connectors. After going step by step, I figured out my mistake. When reconnecting the flat black lego connectors, make sure they are in the correct order. The second and third one are very similar in size and it was as simple as adjusting how they laid on top of each other. Thanks again!

Tyler detmers i did it but it did not help. When i opened it up i did notice that one of the little black fuzzy things on the connectors was misplaced but i couldn't fix it. Could that be the issue??

hi ty for the video but sadly it did not help. i have a half black screen and the other half is blue. i replcade the screen my self 9-10 days ago. I noticed today that my screen has almost pulled a part from the lcd
if someone were to have unscrewed the screws before watching your video and learning that it matters which one goes where, what would you recommend for figuring out which screws go where?

Could not leaving the metal bracket holder on the LCD ribbon connectors cause any damage? I bought an entire front assembly of my iPhone and since it's new the ribbon cables are very sturdy and I was afraid of bending them while trying to put the bracket in place so I just left it off. Any help would be great :p

Hey what would happen if i didnt re attach the screen cable bracket
Hey, just wanted to know if my scenario would be fixed by this video. I dropped my phone, tried turning it on and when I hold the power button (or the power and home button) I get the the white little apple screen thing but after it goes all dark, i don't think the pixels turn off bc when u tilt the phone u can see them giving off a little light. Just asking if this would fix it before I do it you know? thank you for the help, also when i plug it in to charge then the white screen pops up and goes black also, if that helps at all

Hi Tyler, Fistly thank you for your great video. I have an Iphone 6, was not used for a few months and was not charging at all. Replaced the battery. The Apple Logo comes on and goes off soon when connected with the charger, or with button press methods. Screen remains black. I did not remove/reconnect screen connectors since the Logo came on !
Anything else I can try here please ?

Hello, I am trying to fix a friend's iphone 6. I had fixed her battery a couple weeks ago. Then, it came back broken, unrecognizable on itunes as well. She told me tried using a fan through the chargin port. So, I tried replacing that today but it still doesn't turn on. DO you think the fan may have fried the logic board or it may be the battery?
When opening the screen, I found the digitizer cable loose and plugged it back in as well and unplug and plug the other ones as well, but it didn't work..
Where is the digitizer cable ?

Hi um so my moms Old phone a.k.a. mines is not working basically what happened is my mom said that her iPhone 6 started getting hot in after that five minutes later the screen was black but you could still hear noise a.k.a. sound affects do you know how to fix this? Please respond! A couple of weeks ago my iPhone power button stopped working, I didn't take it seriously (which I should have) and now I used this really old charger. As soon as I plugged it in the charger started heating up hot. Then the screen on my phone started fading away, I couldn't do anything! Getting the black screen with 6plus .. Just prior to this happening .. the phone was being used to make a call .. I've tried pressing power and home buttons and other combinations but no luck .. If the phone is hooked to the power cable .. the Apple logo pops up a few seconds but goes back to black screen ..
I took the phone to the Apple Store and they ran a Diagnostic test. The logic board is not accessible ...

My iphone 6+ problems...
1. Wont charge... what i did is plug in the charger then turn off the phone, it does not indicate charging but after 2-3 hrs when turned on its fully chared.
2. Mute switch is not working or like grounded i dont know... just that when i am using the phone it will activate mute then seconds later deactivate always like that on and on and on.
3. Power button not working... i try to turn off but doesnt work but when im using the turn off display pops up over and over..
Lastly... now my phone is dead literally. According to some shops that checked its ic problem.
So... what do you think?! I need honest opinion about this to prevent me from losing money from unwanted repairs or wrong repair or parts replacements.
