You saved the day sir. Although I didn’t add anything under the plate, I torqued the screws a little, closed it back, and so far so good. Would you believe the repair tech at the Apple store at the mall couldn’t figure it out? 🤦♂️
thank you so so much!! I am a student so I cannot afford a new phone at the moment and have alot of precious data on my phone, this quick, affordable and easy fix worked for me and was easy enough that even someone inexperienced in electronic repairs could do it. Many thanks again for the clear and well explained video!!
What I did to fix mine (so far it’s worked 2 days) is take as many screws out of the motherboard as you can and pry on the side gently while tucking in tightly folded paper shims. There was another video where somebody took out the motherboard and put electrical tape on the back as a shim but my screwdriver hates half of the screws in that phone. Thank you so much for the advice on where to pry on the phone to avoid cracking the screen, very much appreciated.
*Friend, thanks for sharing your knowledge! I just opened the Iphone and tightened the screw that is in the central part of the metal plate and returned to work. I helped many people with my videos with vehicle maintenance tips and today I received the same good faith back. Thank you very much*
Used this in my iPhone 6….had since 2015. Replaced battery and then screen started acting up. Used this technique and the thing is working good as new! Thanks for video and steps. He’s right about the tiny screws! But only took about 20 min with some tools I had to fix my kids Xbox controllers.
Excellent workaround. I could not get the problem repaired even after paying 90EUR at repair shop. This tip just cost me 10 bucks for the tools and now my phone works like ever before . Thanks.
Thanks I have trying for the first time it worked you are a genious ....i dont have words to define my happiness ....... i dun have money to get my phone repaired .....now i have done myself .. God bless you mate ..
Guys, I just did this and it works! This comes about a month after feeling good about myself for changing out the battery. Anyhow, I did not listen and use the tape and ended up dropping one of the screws. I was really lucky to have found that screw!!! OMG. Thanks for posting the vid Techvarium!!!
Cool it really worked! The iphone touch was sometimes freezing and sometimes working, and I tried all kind of methods..and your method solved the problem. Thanks!
Your are the great man I just opened up my iPhone and the silver cover was not their but I placed a micro SIM card and I’m doing this comment with the 100% working iPhone
Yeehaw, I was scared when I realized their was a problem with my phone. Then I figured out the problem and came across this video, and now I won't have to go spend money on someone to fix it. Thanks man ;D
was about to take the logic board out and re-flow the solder. This was like a 2-3 minute fix!!! AMAZING!!!! THANK YOU!!!!! Just put an old phone back into my tinker box.
this worked for me! it looks like my old phone mechanic did not return the metal thingy. had to improvise 2 old sim cards to compensate for it. big thanks from my dad and me!
This worked for my phone for a few weeks, then it wouldn’t work again. I doubled up the plastic to create a thicker layer, and it worked a second time. It’s now unresponsive to touch again. Do you have any other recommendations for a permanent solution?
A fkn genius! I was so worried about getting it fixed and something told me to look on here and I fixed it all cause of this amazing video! It works so far. Thanks
I just wanted to say thank you! I wish I saw this video a year ago before I bought my iPhone X, but at least I have a second iPhone that works now, thanks to you 👌
This worked almost perfectly! I felt like i had tried everything. Tried different screens, cleaned connections with isopropyl alcohol and tried factory reset. Nothing worked. This worked first try but i had to tigthen the screws a lot. Thanks.
Thank you so much for this video. It worked!😘 can’t believe I can used again this phone without paying a cents😊 thanks a lot. And more power of your channel😊😊
thanks i can confirm it helps with the problem! iphone6 Plus. did it myself using a toolset from amazon for 9EUR. just the pry open toolset with one tiny pentalobe and one tiny philips screwer.
Bought the ‘Hyper tough 17 piece smartphone repair kit’ from Walmart for about 8 bucks. Used an old sim like shown in the video. Was not an easy fix cos of the very tiny bolts magnetically aligning in the wrong direction on the screwdriver. Flickering gone. Will see how long it lasts. Very useful video 🙌
Thank you!!! Solved my problem. My iPhone is really bad but I don't need a better phone for now so this will give me some time to take all the juice from it! Cheers mate
I thought it’s from the Motherboard then I thought I need to pay now a lot but at first I thought its the Display now its so easy to do thanks so much for making this Video I’m very Thankful thanks man ( One last question does it work with a useless Micro SD card ) because I don’t have any SIM cards I have only a 1GB Micro SD Card
i like the idea of pressing down those cables, going to try on my iphone 6. I think my problem was with background apps taking too much processing power and slowing touch response. But save some $$$ and just use a sliver of duck tape, or like any sliver of plastic. Thanks!
High percentage of this problem is due to loose connector and may not be due to failure of Touch IC. So no harm in trying what Techvarium is saying AND if that doesn't work then go in for IC replacement by a professional.
Excellent video my friend i just learned something i do fixed iphones i just got a iPhone 6 plus with the same issues ... I replace the screen and battery ... But i try this and Wow! Thanks you're a life saver
This is a pretty big brain solution, the pressure the sim card puts on the board bridges the loose connections causing the problem. It’ll probably last until the phone dies out completely and it costs basically nothing to do. (Besides the screwdriver)

Dumb question By torque the screws what do u mean??
Rick Fleece I perhaps over tightened the screw. Too tight.
@@cannon59 did it work all right ?
Lucas Segurola for about a week. Then back to glitching 😕. Got a 7 plus I’m responding on though. Cost less (used), 256gb, awesome phone 📱 🙂.

Thank you so much for this video it worked!!! I couldn’t screw in the last screw so I just put tape on it closed screen and called it a day. 😬

did you do it while the phone is still turned on?
Any idea how long this lasts? I thought this would be an ic chip or motherboard problem.
I cut a corner of a Suica plastic card. It did work for me. Thank you very much. Keep on the good job.
Bruh thanks so much! instead of a SIM card I used plastic and works fine. THANKS!

This is pressing the connector down. It will work but it's not fixing the Touch IC that's really making the problem.
High percentage of this problem is due to loose connector and may not be due to failure of Touch IC. So no harm in trying what Techvarium is saying AND if that doesn't work then go in for IC replacement by a professional.
totally agree! If Touch IC needs to be replaced then go to professionals for the replacement
@@Techvarium it's a common problem for iPhone 6 users will there be any charges for the repair ?? Or will I get free repair ?? at apple service center
Thank you sir. It worked. I did not put all the screws. Just the sim inside.
You may want to place the screws since the metal place and screws is what keeping the SIM in place
I missed one screw because I lost it is it ok my screen works though
