You, my friend, are absolutely AMAZING! I followed your video without issue and I just now replaced the part. One question, my check engine is still on but I just fixed this like 5 minutes ago lol. How long will it take for it to go away?
After taking my escape to the service center they had it 2 days to get the part in they call me to confirm the part price plus labor would of been $750 no freaking way i bought the bought online new for $50 they say bring the part in we will have the guys install it for $250 no thanks thats ridiculous lol im mechanical inclined ill have it done in about a hour lol just figured ford would cover this kinda bs with the extended warranty i purchased when buying the vehicle nope fuckers.
i just bought the purge valve from ford through my wholesale account and it costed 190, so either you bought the wrong part or its a shit aftermarket one that's gonna break within the year.
@@authorjack oh I was pissed and I even called all around and no dealership in town could tell me if I was a warranted part till I flipped out and and the parts counter person look it up and ends up telling me yeah I believe it's a covered part so I scheduled it to get fixed and then come to find out its not a covered part fucking Ford knew what they was doing on this part lol.

@joshuaraub8223 the light may stay on for a while after the repair as the ECU needs time to re-learn. Give it a few days and it should go off
Thank you for doing/posting this! Huge help!!
@@bigred-ck3vh you are welcome kind sir
I like the off brand Benny Hill song in the middle, and the Sponge Bob clips!
Advanced mechanics only. Leave this one to the professionals bud.
I believe the Ford manual says that you should use ketchup (catsup) to seal the hose connections.
