I really enjoyed this video. I think as a granny the fear of upsetting my grandchildren is also very real. I understand now why it is important that they be able to be upset and work through it. As a loving granny I can let them do that with respect and empathy.

Just starting to learn about Love & Logic, and this was a very helpful podcast. I can already feel myself relaxing and being space with my teenage daughter. I can already sense and am aware of how healing this can be for her too, for me to model better and use these skills. Thank you. I am hopeful about our growth.

This is Great, love these nuggets of wisdom. I especially appreciate the insight that as parents, we are naturally attuned to responding to our baby’s every need & cry of discomfort. It’s a GOOD thing.. but that process of gradually handing back the responsibility of taking care of their own needs, & allowing them opportunities to tolerate discomfort.. it’s not always linear & intuitive, especially when we experienced neglect, or parents that weren’t attuned to us as children.. it’s easy to unconsciously overcompensate & try to give our kids all the love & validation we missed out on.. and not realize we’re overdoing it & creating entitled kids, wondering what the heck we did wrong! this helps so much to alleviate that mom guilt by putting into very practical, non-punitive terms what messages we’re REALLY sending our kids, & how dire it is to teach these basic skills.. I wish I had better awareness & understanding of this years ago, but it’s encouraging to know it’s not too late (tho certainly more challenging to teach them now as pre-teen & teen boys.) thanks for offering tools to help steer families back in the right direction 🙏🏽

I really struggle with this, but Love and Logic gives me to tools to not always act on this. "They Lack Practice Getting Upset". Fewer Words, Non Verbal Empathy. My authentic empathy is breathing in and out slight nod. Less words the better. All learned this from love and logic thankyou!

I have been introduced to your program back in the early 90's. My kids are grown. However, for the past ten years I have been a school bus driver. I love, love, love my job. Do you have any information related to School Bus Drivers? I am very interested. Thank you for everything!
