My dad asked me if I wanted to do a duet with him in between songs when he and his acapella band played a little gig at a tavern. I said maybe, but I had no clue what song I could learn that was in both of our ranges and we were both passionate about. Then this posted. I’ve been a huge fan of dodie’s for about a year now, and I love every video where both of you sing together. I can’t tell you how elated I was when my dad told me he loved the song. Tonight was the first night we were listening and picking out the harmonies for my part. I’ve never really sung harmonies in a duet before, but turns out it’s not too hard for me. The gig will be on October 22nd, and I’ll come back here and update this to tell you how it went. But I CAN’T THANK YOU BOTH ENOUGH FOR CREATING THIS.
Edit: it went really well! I didn’t get stage fright because there were lights in front of the stage that were BLINDING and I couldn’t even begin to see past them. But it was really fun and I missed it as soon as I got off stage.
