Shirley the hero. Love her. I just noticed that gray has the same surname as Yvonne Atkins also played by Linda Henry so they must be related and that’s why he saved him lol
This was quite a nice, if you can use that word, scene because Shirley and Gray don’t particularly interact that much. I guess it’s true when they say that help can come from the unlikeliest places.
I hated Gray when he inflicted domestic violence on Chantelle and left her to die but in this particular scene I can't help agreeing with Shirley that he isn't thinking straight. Unfortunately he boxed himself into a corner and limited his options when he killed Chantelle as his choices are either to hand himself in or to kill himself or to keep quiet and hope nobody finds out he killed his wife. I know Shirley doesn't know he killed Chantelle but I get the feeling that Gray would still have contemplated suicide even if Chantelle's death had genuinely been accidental. He can't be a psychopath as I originally thought as he has recently shown signs of guilt and regret. I think in his own twisted way he did think if he killed himself and his children they would all be with Chantelle but that's wrong and while Shirley may not be one of my favourite characters I'm glad she stopped him. He clearly needs help. If only Gray had either called an an ambulabce or let Chantelle be happy with that other man he wouldn't be in this situation.
Shirley is such an iconic character, top realist

Thankfully Shirley was there to talk sense into him. His kids deserve the future he stole from their mother.
Those kids deserve happiness and a future and their own father almost took that away from them.
What do you expect he threatened to kill his children to their mother 🤷🏼♂️

This aged well
Shirley arrived just on time

I know his character is an asshole but the guy who plays him is extremely good looking.😍
