When I first heard of the move "snap trap" I would have never guess it would be the signature move for Galarian Stunfisk. It would makes better sense to give it to Carnivine cause it's a Venus fly trap and it's a grass type Pokémon.
Another good reason for Snap Trap being Grass Type involves Galarian Stunfisk's Ability that changes its type based on the terrain. So in Grassy Terrain, for example, a perfect location to hide a trap within a grassy overgrow where you wouldn't be able to see it, the now Grass Type Stunfisk would be using its signature move with STAB to its full advantage, as, you yourself have clarified that not every steel type is literally made of steel, Galarian Stunfisk's trap teeth are clearly just as hard as steel, but more akin to horns, thorns, teeth, claws, or other possible sharp animal protrusions, and being charged with all sorts of magical Grass Energy it draws the full power from being Grass Type.

@@mettatonsagent7541 Doesn't take that much strength or skill. I climbed rock walls since I was like 8. It's a pretty "normal" activity. Doesn't mean everyone does it, but it doesn't require any special, hard to learn skills to accomplish. It's literally just climbing up rocks. And fighting type is generally more advance, and specialized. Usually like special fighting techniques, that takes years to master, not a generic skill like climbing. There are of course exceptions, but that's what it has always felt like to me. EDIT: Also...being normal type doesn't mean that a move doesn't require strength or skill. Seeds...
Ooh, fun story about Frenzy/Hard Plant. There's an English card (think it was a Venusaur) which lists the move as Hard Plant instead of giving it the English name. When I was younger, I liked imagining what some Pokemon card moves would be like in the main series, and, not knowing it was already a real move, I came up with "inflicts damage, then raises the user's defense".
Yes, weed moves.
Weed is one of the few plants in the world that's vulnerable to fire while it's green. Most plants have to turn brown before fire can ignite it into flames. Really puts all those weak to fire greenmons into perspective lol.
Wellll pokemon clover has A exclusive move called speedweed sooo.....
The music choice was super interesting this time around, it actually made me want to watch the vid at normal speed instead of 2x like usual.
lockstin: "Wood hammer damges the target because its not as strong as rocks and stuff"

Hahaha
The editing in these videos is incredible, which is one of the many reasons I love this channel.
Also, hard plant funny
Man, I'm learning so much from this channel about stuff in general. If Lockstin were around fifteen to twenty years ago, I would have definitely chosen a different carreer path.
(8:25) "unlike rock, it hurts itself because tree isn't as hard as rock", shows a rock getting hurt by using it.
I can’t belive that people still do first in 2020

Actually, I think Grav Apple’s defense drop is literally just because you hit them in the head with an apple, and now they’re dealing with an aching noggin
Hope psychic type is next in this line of videos purely for The Light That Burns the Sky because that even sounds fiery but its a signature z-move
Possible non-magic inspiration for grassy terrain: hospital patients with plants in their rooms or window views of nature have faster recovery times on average.

Fun Fact: Issac Newton was actually under house arrest for going against the church when he saw the apple fall from the second floor window

Do u watch truegreen7??????
I thought your truegreen

I have learnt today that G-Max Rillaboom is actually apart of his wooden drum, I always thought he was behind it
When Lockstin said Malik Acid, my brain heard Malak Acid and then I was like “what?” Guess I have Dark Deception on the brain
Omg you did it ! Thanks for covering the grass type moves I was so excited!
Yes ive been waiting for this because of energy ball
Same. Also waiting for normal because WhY iS rOcK cLiMb nOrMaL tYpE
@@mettatonsagent7541 Cause...you're just climbing some rocks. which is pretty normal, lol. What type do you think it should be?
LuckyOwl777 fighting considering that it requires strength and skill
I mean...singing is a normal thing...but it takes skillet be good at it. And there is literally a move named Strength...soo yeah, lol.
It's Normal, cause there's no "special" skill that you need to be born with, or train in order to accomplish said skill.
Also, snap traps (traps that snap together to catch prey) were use with plat materials via hunting and gathering. I just think we people think of bear traps first but if you really think about it... a lot more snapping traps are plant base.
I'm pretty sure grav apple just lowers your defense because you just got hit in the head. "Ouch, my head hurts. It's distracting and if anything else hits me there it'll hurt even more :("
Edit: 16:56 WTF IS THAT?! WHEN DID THAT BECOME A THING??? WHERE DID HE COME FROM?!?
That monstrosity is named Zarude and he's the new Mythical Pokémon, the new upcoming movie is all about him.
3 years later, Gen 4 remakes have came out, and Carnivine still does not know Snap Trap
"is wood a grass?" - Lockstin
More importantly, is corn a grass?

Grass is so important it is the first in every pokedex
Unova with victini:
No
What was even the point of Victini being the first in the Unova dex? Is it really important or something?
@@cintronproductions9430 i mean, yes... but only in the anime movie
@@cintronproductions9430 Unova is based on America. "Liberty first"
Edit: Victini is based on the Statue of Liberty btw.
Galarian slowpoke
@@cintronproductions9430 Victini is the victory Pokémon. It's pokedex entry says that whoever has it will always win no matter what.
So Victini's power likely willed itself into "first place" somehow or the in-game creator of the pokedex did it as a joke
Best transitions between catagories in the series so far. I love them
1:50 cucumber money shot, reported not family friendly lmao
To me petal dance feels like its basically a reference to those game when we used to play while young. Spinning around while singing. I forgot the lyrics but it had some roses in its lyrics. Roses have petals and obviously spinning causes dizines which can be said as confusion I guess.
Edit. I think the lyrics was ring a ring a roses. Bucket full of roses

I just realised pokemon recycle a lot of animations.
Like grassy glide uses Take down's animation
ice hammer uses Hammer arm's animation in gen 7
Sludgewave in gen 6 uses psywaves animation and in gen 7 onwards it uses the gen 6 surf animation
Early squad! :)
How did I miss this!? Grass was the very first type I used! This was posted on my birthday too. This is too perfect.
Grass is my second favorite type after a normal, I'm usually split 50-50 on whether I choose a grass or a fire starter tho lol.

oh my god i learnt more in 5 seconds from this guy than i ever could with school like the sun hot thing is a perfect description of photosynthesis
I could get around Snap Trap being Grass Type if it weren't for the fact that the animation shows a steel bear trap snapping shut. Game Freak, if you insist on keeping it Grass Type, at least change the animation to a Venus fly trap snapping shut (the move could also have a special bonus that it is super effective against Bug Types).
