    I used Rancho RS55316's as I wanted FACTORY HEIGHT. I measured after install, and they did not raise the rear end. I tow a travel trailer and wanted the height the same.
    HINT: If you miss the top bolt hole after you cut the tether and let the shock rise up, start by putting the top frame bolt in first and push UP on the shock. Much easier than trying to compress down and reach up to the top. I did this with the truck on my garage floor without a lot of trouble, other than missing the bolt hole as the shock extended.
    ALSO I replaced the bolts and nuts on both sides. They were 40 bucks shipped from a florida online ford parts retailer. Cheap insurance and the nylock nuts dont last forever. Book for my 2015 says 66 footpounds torque. My factory 2015 non-FX4 shocks were mostly worthless after only 49K. Yes my truck only has 49K. I got a good deal.
    NEXT will be a front set!

    I installed Rancho Quicklift with rs9000 adj shocks on my Tacoma 06 at 75,000, I am at 178,700 now and going strong, great shocks and lift. I used super springs for my rear lift and added load carry for a travel trailer we camp with.

    Shock Surplus did a review on these and they said they had to wait till like 4500 miles to actually see a huge difference in adjustments, almost like a break in period. On my 2015 Tundra Pro there is a huge difference from like setting 3 to setting 7.

    I disagree that the adjuster doesn’t make much difference. I have these on my f350 with a 3200 pound camper and it was a huge difference.

      I have a 2001.5 Dodge Cummins H. O. 2500. We put a Lance Squirelite 165s on it. We have Firestone air bags. Will the adjustable shocks make a difference?

    Why did you guys installed the rs999384 instead of the rs999316 that rancho recommends on models from 2015 to 2019.

    • @stage3motorsports
      @stage3motorsports  5 років тому

      We did use the rs999316 model at the time this video was made Rancho had not split the part number, most importantly though the install between rs999384 & rs999316 are exactly the same so for us this one video helps both part numbers.

    Why do the dust covers look do cheap?

    • @christopherbouman160
      @christopherbouman160 4 роки тому

      They use a standard size boot. You have to stretch it on this big 2.7 inch diameter tube. I agree it should be a bigger boot.

      While its not the fanciest solution, it does get the job done. Simple and effective. We have seen this on other shocks as well, Rancho is not the only one who does this

      I‘ve had mine zip tied for a year now with no issues.

      The ones that weren’t zip tied on both my bilstein 5100’s and pro/“-comp dual steering stabilizer have already ripped off. The Rancho sure are doing just fine that I put on after those.

      If you adjust them down they do make a HUGE difference. I have a 2017 f250 FX4 diesel and going from bilstein 5100 shocks to the 9000xls made a world of difference

    I noticed your rocking Wildpeaks on those trucks how do you like them?

    • @sortac08
      @sortac08 5 років тому +1

      I have the exact same truck, just put those on and I really like them. The rubber is softer than most tires and it's noticeable. I can actually move the tread blocks with my thumbs back and forth and I couldn't do that with my cooper st maxxs'. The ride quality with the 275 70 18 is really nice.

    I got the Rs9000xl for my chevy 2500 and they only lasted 2000 kms. Double bouncing all over the place now. Complete garbage!

      They have a lifetime warranty. They’ll happily replace them. You just got a shot set, quality control isn’t the best in China.
