All of the food was really good here. We’ve never tried bacon fried house made potato chips until this visit. Gentry said, thank you. We agree - we were shocked that kids eat free, especially with the portion sizes that they give. We had a lot of fun hanging out with Nerds On the Go. They are awesome people. This restaurant looks like a heavy hitter for authentic Nashville hot chicken. The menu had a lot of great options and can't believe the kids got hooked up like that for no charge. That's so awesome!
It's so cool how Nashville hot chicken is such a phenomenon these days. We were scouting for places to visit on our upcoming road trip and every town we plan on visiting has local restaurants either themed around or strongly pushing their version of Nashville hot chicken.
The appetizers were on point too. I hope to see more NOTG and EDIS collabs in the future. Awesome crowd!!
This place is definitely a heavy hitter for Nashville hot chicken. It's consistently ranked in the top 3 restaurants in nearly every video that we watch on Nashville hot chicken comparisons/chicken wars. The only major one that we have yet to try is Hattie B's.
We didn't realize that Nashville hot chicken has had that level of popularity outside of the Nashville area - that's so cool.

I have read reviews on TripAdvisor and watched UA-cam videos on Nashville Hot Chicken and Party Fowl. When we visited Nashville, we did not make it here. We went to Hattie B's instead. So glad to see your review on here. The chicken looked moist and it's always great when kids eat free. Thanks for sharing your experience. It was great seeing Nerds on The Go with y'all too! We have never made it to Hattie B's but have it on our list of places to try. The kids really had some great portion sizes here, especially for the food being free. Great to see you do a combo video with the Nerds. I watch them too ! What were the last things called that you had on your plate ? They looked like a square pastry type item. I’ve not heard of them before.
Thanks Julie. We had a great time hanging out with Nerds On The Go. Jeremy and Stephanie are awesome people. Those pastries were beignets. They’re popular in New Orleans but that was the first time that I’ve tried one. It was a light and flaky pastry with a dusting of powdered sugar on top. All the food looks yummy, but I think I pass on that onion loaf. Great family friendly w kids eating free & they didn't skimp at all on the kid's meal.
The onion loaf didn’t have a strong onion taste like most onion loafs but if you’re not an onion fan, it definitely would not be a good pick for you. The portion sizes for the kids meals were huge and we were shocked to find out that they’re free. We had a great meal and it was great hanging out with Jeremy and Stephanie from Nerds On The Go. Great, informative, fun video guys! May want to turn down the exposure in your color settings as it made your skin look blown out and white on the video. Just a friendly tip from an ocd video editor lol
