Was using your build with a couple things tweaked because I don’t have that trace anymore, and it’s so good man I absolutely was crushing it, got through ecthar and into the room with the wizards and the ogre and I dove right off the map… so upset at myself but at least I know I’ll be able to flawless this one solo as well. Wow you don't just give a basic loadout and show the mechanics like a lot of other creators, you actually give a ton of really useful tips along the way with advanced destiny knowledge that's helpful for just anything in the game let alone the specific thing you are doing, def subscribing thank you for this, you put a ton of work into it and IT SHOWS.
Little tip: u can slide while holding interact button through the deepsight u can activate ist while every enemy is missing a lot. With speedboost from amplified helps there a lot
Earned a sub, was able to follow your guide and run the dungeon solo. The only difference I made was using Coldheart and Briars rather than a rocket launcher on the final boss. It took me a while to learn the lament combo but was able to manage with a couple more phases. Thanks for the help!
Bro out of all the guides this one gave me hope for the EMBLEM! I just got an error coded at Ecthar though on my first flawless attempt I already completed the final boss battle in 5 phases before. Id appreciate the video!

Just finished solo flawless. the builds here really helped. Sunstar was super clutch. only notable changes i made was using forebearance for 1st boss and riskrunner for final boss. always placing a rift on deepsights and clearing adds before dps is really important to remember
Arc hunter is low key easier than solar Titan you can literally be invisible, healing, getting a nade every other punch and getting super every 5/6th punch cycle. Basically arc hunter builds be fucking insane this season
Posting for feedback and also open to suggestions in the comments!! First, this is a great build - really fun to use! Second, I have been trying this for two days and just can't seem to get it down (that's on me, not on Mactics). I can't get past Ecthar and even there I might get 1 damage phase off before I die. Half the issue is I can't seem to get my rift back fast enough before my last one runs out and the other half is me dying in a rift. I have arc resistance on, but don't have an arc trace... using Acasia's Dejection instead. I will say that some mods being currently disabled is not helping either, but that can't be helped. I also had to look up a breakdown on Lament combo since I've never needed to use it before (or swords in general really) so I had no idea that you had a shield up as part of the combo or what a light attack vs charged attack was - super enlightening, but I still don't think I'm doing it right since I'm 1826 and would probably 6 phase him at this rate if I could actually make it past damage phase #1 lol. I'm all for the grind, but I have no idea what I'm doing wrong! I just seem to be taking wayyyy too much damage... maybe I should look into doing this with another class lol
I love this build 💯❗️ I also use vesper of radius when I’m ad clearing as it sends out shockwaves every second and shocks / jolts targets to really help with keeping u alive and u also get your rift / abilities back just as quick as long as your doing everything correctly .
When you first drop into the water, instead of going forward through the door, go left. There is a window that is open. You can tell what one it is cause there is a bubble on the outside. Once you drop out of it fall all the way down to the ledge. Don’t go too far cause you can die but it saves a bit of time
An extra tip for anyone struggling with the hive guardians. If you run close and throw a pulse grenade directly on them and then shoot your trace rifle they will go down in 3-6 seconds
thanks for the guide brutha, 2nd encounter is aids. 100 resil with triple arc resis and I would still get 1 tapped by the butterflies in a well smfh. Using arc was a blessing having the arc buddies insta kill the flies. Big brain
for everyone info, once you killed the boomer knight close to the spawn you can go in the little spot where you came from before the encounter and hide there in 100% safety :)
when you do try this before the encounter: use getaway artist for sentient arc soul (it lasts 20 secs), switch to fallen sun star, pop a rift right after. infinite BETTER arc soul. just reset after you come up from the water before killing the wizards, it adds soooo much DPS with the Lament combo on Ecthar, but also in general.
@@zacharyhernandez2779 i’m not sure the exact difference, i normally 3 phase with lament/geomag chaos reach when DPSing, but the sentient arc soul makes a huge difference. an arc soul alone makes a huge difference, & the sentient one is just better. it’s not the biggest deal, but it’s so easy to proc before every encounter & w/ switching to fallen sun star you have infinite rifts so you will ALWAYS have it up. and with some of the hiding places, it’s the easiest thing to re-proc when you come back up from the water. takes 5 seconds! & with how many adds there are, still got that infinite rift. just place one before you start DPS! you’ll have at least 20 seconds of the sentient arc soul at that point. 😁 it’s not necessary, but why not with how easy it is? i’m on an old xbox one too, still switching easily!
This build works great for getting to damage! I have trouble staying alive during damage sometimes though. I also find that after damage I often am unable to get to the water quick enough and die
Best way to take a breather for swapping is just jump in middle pool when u teleport upward , u will be float up and down but literally super safe from damage. I totally afk to collect food while floating up and down there.
Okay so. For this boss. I am promising you this is what worked for me. Ran with double special to make it rain with purple bricks all over the ground. Took care of all the knights. Then grabbed the symbols. On the third before I went out I swapped to my geomags with the same mods and fragments loaded BUT with leviathans breath. Leviathans wrecks her health if you have the catty I 5 phased her and beat it. Promise you it works.
looks like he's using Path of Least Resistance, and I'd imagine the roll is Voltshot with Shoot to Loot, but StL could be subbed with Stats for All if that's something somebody wants (although I wouldnt)
its called Path of Least Resistance, unfortunately, it was only available in season 19, the only way to get it now is through banshee or xur if they happen to sell it

Lament honestly doesn't need the swap. I almost 4 phased him last night using just the sunstar setup, and two off element wave frames, one destabilizing. I'd use the one from vow, if I had it. Grenading the boss helps.
Isn't the fragment Spark of Ions redundant with the aspect Electrostatic Mind? Electrostatic Mind: "Defeating targets with arc abilities or defeating jolted or blinded targets creates an Ionic Trace." Spark of Ions: "Defeating a jolted target creates an Ionic Trace" This seems redundant and feels like you could go with Spark of Beacons, "While you are amplified, your Arc Special weapon final blows create a blinding explosion," or Spark of Amplitude, "Rapidly defeating targets while you are amplified creates an Orb of Power."
Plus with the cool down it's even more useless didn't even think of that, the blinding one sounds extremely helpful for the knights since their a little beefier
Strand Hunter is basically invincible with the spider mask exotic and he Navigator trace rifle. You're basically getting crazy damage negation from the exotic helmet, and reducing the overall damage that the boss can do to you with the trace rifle.
If you pop her shield with Arby right as the green pools appear she doesn’t move around the entire arena like she normally does. She can still sway here and there but highly less likely to move to a completely different location.
What are the weapon rolls for non-exotics? Been scrolling through and think I have the weapons/perks identified for each encounter, but can't find their details in the video...
When I switch from one build to the other, I lose ALL my super and abilities. I have quadruple checked to make sure I have the same super, aspects and fragments. What gives
If your run sunbracers warlock, then the melee’s aoe when it hits the ground causes them to just nuke you if there are more than three near you. Believe me, lost too many flawless runs due to those damn moths
I wish I had done this back then. It's like the scaling is way off this season, cause I simply can't damage them enough before their shields are back.. And I've done Master several times, so I know the dungeon itself quite well... But I still can't get it done :c
I always run into a problem of not being able to tank all the damage even if I’m staying my rift. Is that just a product of my light level being too low or what?
I dont know why but i cant seem to make the survivability of this build work for me during ecthar. I dont know if they nerfed something or what but im still dieing in my rift sometimes cuz the incoming damage is so much
Does anyone know of any alternatives to using lament for Ecthar? I found that was the one big problem for me is i cannot stand using lament, sometimes the combo will go off with out a hitch and the next second ill only do one swipe and it just stops.
Why are Boomers never shooting at you in the first boss fight? they respawn very quick for me and they are the reason I can’t get good damage on the boss. What am I doing wrong?
Use liars on arc hunter, mini hammer on titan or well on warlock. All of these give constant healing and let you mostly ignore ads. Throw on a riskrunner if not on Well since you'll be damaging with melee anyways
Wouldn't Crown of Tempests be just as good as Fallen Sunstar? I don't have a Fallen Sunstar and grinding Lost Sectors is boring af. You could also swap out Spark of Magnitude for Spark of Discharge if you're running an Arc weapon (like the Trace rifle you have).
"I'm a little under light" - Mactics Then there's me getting back in to the game a little late in to the season attempting it at 1800. I got through the first encounter easy! Ecthar is proving a challenge lol.
I still argue if you can do a single phase of dmg you can solo this whole thing it’s just long it’s really not difficult. Any of you interested but haven’t done a solo before just grab a CP and give it a go on each boss find out how easy it is for you to do a phase.
@@gudgurl that spot no, but before you drop down to the final boss, above that is where you can get the catalyst (it’s a three part thing in the dungeon). However, running it with a friend who had the catalyst and solo did not let me start the side quest for the catalyst. So you need someone with the exotic, but no catalyst.
I think it’s a decent guide but the load out swapping is to messy for me too many times running it I’d get caught with no cooldown after he changes back and slowly picked away from adds or everyone unloads as I’m swapping In The “safe”spot and I’m dead during my ult that’s last too damn long because geomag. I used riskrunner fallen the whole time and an explosive light auto load windego with a auto load vorpal sniper In my primary same thing but with auto load vorpal stormchaser for final boss and went smooth as cake the riskrunner passive is just too good to pass up. Makes the rest of the build stick like glue but still kudos to another pulse grenade user.
If you are getting caught with no cooldown that means your super is changing in the middle of it. If the aspects and fragments are the same on both then it wont take ur abilities
Again 2nd build you've done where you say anyone but I still can't get past the 2nd boss. You use geomags and chaos reach to break his shield and while standing in the pool of green you failed to mention that while in your super you get knocked back and out of the pool every time so you can take down his shield. Then by the time you've recovered you've lost half the dps phase. Sorry but this isn't working for me.

I got mine last night on a Titan, going to run Hunter this weekend just for the hell of it.

fucking how. I dont get healed from lament and just die. At this point I dont even care about flawless.

You could use Cold Heart as your trace rifle to get more ionic traces, plus it does good damage on the beefy boyz.
But not on boss

Vesper of radius works REALLY well when you’re clearing ads in the ectar phase . It ALSO blinds targets

My abilities actually charged faster with Tempest, and the stats were identical between the two builds.

If i could just avoid getting moths to randomly detonate on me during ecthar id be fine
They don't randomly detonate you either got too close and they blew up to damage you or something hit them and blew them up

2nd encounter: Couldn’t you use the laments anti-barrier capability to bring down his shield like arby in one shot then do super to increase damage?
Arby's is the only one that will one shot. Arbalest and lament don't
What was the roll on the trace rifle
Shoot to Loot and Voltshot. You can tell when he hovers over his loadouts when he is about to swap.
What trace is he using?
So when you switch your load out your subclass stays charged ? Or does it go away when you switch something in your subclass.
pretty sure your aspects/fragments need to be in the same position on each loadout for them to stay charged

No, from what I heard, it’s actually pretty bad for breaking the shield.
not going to lie , normal clear emblem looks better than solo flawless one

Why are Boomers never shooting at you in the first boss fight? they respawn very quick for me and they are the reason I can’t get good damage on the boss. What am I doing wrong?
Use liars on arc hunter, mini hammer on titan or well on warlock. All of these give constant healing and let you mostly ignore ads. Throw on a riskrunner if not on Well since you'll be damaging with melee anyways
^ I would also add for warlock, do the popular sunbracers build. If you don’t know what it is, I’m sure mactics has it somewhere on his channel.
Wouldn't Crown of Tempests be just as good as Fallen Sunstar? I don't have a Fallen Sunstar and grinding Lost Sectors is boring af. You could also swap out Spark of Magnitude for Spark of Discharge if you're running an Arc weapon (like the Trace rifle you have).
why when i change my loadout it removes my super ?
Check the fragments and aspects and make sure they're the same for both loadouts.

I still argue if you can do a single phase of dmg you can solo this whole thing it’s just long it’s really not difficult. Any of you interested but haven’t done a solo before just grab a CP and give it a go on each boss find out how easy it is for you to do a phase.

@@gudgurl that spot no, but before you drop down to the final boss, above that is where you can get the catalyst (it’s a three part thing in the dungeon). However, running it with a friend who had the catalyst and solo did not let me start the side quest for the catalyst. So you need someone with the exotic, but no catalyst.
I think it’s a decent guide but the load out swapping is to messy for me too many times running it I’d get caught with no cooldown after he changes back and slowly picked away from adds or everyone unloads as I’m swapping In The “safe”spot and I’m dead during my ult that’s last too damn long because geomag. I used riskrunner fallen the whole time and an explosive light auto load windego with a auto load vorpal sniper In my primary same thing but with auto load vorpal stormchaser for final boss and went smooth as cake the riskrunner passive is just too good to pass up. Makes the rest of the build stick like glue but still kudos to another pulse grenade user.
If you are getting caught with no cooldown that means your super is changing in the middle of it. If the aspects and fragments are the same on both then it wont take ur abilities

Xur is selling it this week role is very mid but if you have any deepsight harmonizers left I'd use it on that tbh, it's what I'm doing

You lose your super when you do a quick swap.
Again 2nd build you've done where you say anyone but I still can't get past the 2nd boss. You use geomags and chaos reach to break his shield and while standing in the pool of green you failed to mention that while in your super you get knocked back and out of the pool every time so you can take down his shield. Then by the time you've recovered you've lost half the dps phase. Sorry but this isn't working for me.
You only need to pass through the pool to get the buff. You can DPS outside of the pool no problem.
