The D1 guy is playing more of "im not trying to get embarassed" type of defense rather than aggressive you can even see sometimes when Deen was just not even doing anything with the ball he wouldnt make an attempt to just kick the ball.
a lot of it is probably because its a 1v1 as well, typically in a game scenario you would try to slow down play and wait for a cover player so sometimes its hard for players to translate aggressive defense in a 1v1 drill
Not from the US here so dont know what D1 level is like. You will see lots of super skillful players at Sunday league level. The real difference between pros, semi pros and amateurs, is decision making, which is hard to test but easy to see on the field.
@smartFunable it depends what kind of player you are. If you got a pro defender to try and dribble past a very good amateur player, they might struggle because they aren't good at beating a man.
@@chrissteel822 my point was that on all these challenges pros can look similar to good amateur, but the real difference you can see only in the game(decision making, endurance, composure etc.)
My sunday league is filled with ex d1 and ex semi pros. I played in both the sunday league and in college (like when the seasons dont necessarily overlap) and the sunday leagues best teams are just much more out of shape. Getting d1 truly is about the connections and self discipline
I love your content bro, the quality is great, I am surprised on your sub counts, only 3.85k as of 25 of Febuary 2024. If you continue with this content quality you will be big. Hope the best for you
This video should help everyone in HS or younger pursure the dream of being a college player. I played D1. Some people are insanely good but most are average ballers whos dad pays money.
@deen-does True, D1 is definitely overrated. England's Sunday League is not particularly rated in the first place though. Everyone knows it's low level football, but it also has some ex-pro academy guys who got released and just play Sunday League for fun.
The difference is and always will be decision making, the speed at which you do things, and confidence. For example. A pro player reacts in .3 seconds, a great player reacts in .5 seconds, while an average player reacts in 1 second. That minuscule difference can be the difference between a goal for your team or against your team. Does it take you a 1 second to identify the pass? Well… that’s too bad. The guy that was open isn’t anymore and you’ve already lost the ball. It’s low level ⚽️ though so for the most part if you fuck up nothing happens because the other team isn’t good enough to capitalize or will just make bad decisions. 😂 You did fine though. I think you just got tired.

Right, some pro players can even loose in this challenges to amateurs, but in the real game it will be night and day.

@Handysoccerscd1 is prem lvl
When the D1 players and foreign players age into Over-40 soccer, a high-quality Sunday leaguer like Deen can fully equal them through extra fitness.
Meg at the end was smooth D1 player Jun warmed up
“All about connections” he’s not wrong
I was waiting for a video a looong time, we need more of this 😅 keep it up!
