There’s nothing like the incentive of a party to get things done. My mom has always said that we should throw one every year for that very reason. Seeing a big difference Phil. Carry on! I’m rooting for you😃
The clearer to cut back the less critters you’ll have! I wouldn’t even worry about the chateau until winter! Focus on clearing your low brush and get them critters gone!
You’re doing great! Finally, you are seeing very evident results. Often, so much (unnoticeable) work has to be done before the “light at the end of the tunnel” is in sight. A real morale boost for sure. 👍🏻👍🏻
That little bridge would look so lovely once it gets cleared out! Good job with the mulch! Clearing the banks would make it look so open from the road looking at the moat and chateau on their way in! You did GOOD!
The bridge is beautiful and when you get the area cleared it will be a lovely area. Phil, you are working so hard but you are seeing all the rewards. Next year it won’t be as daunting.
Great job Phil, the yard is really looking good these days. You are having a real problem with those rodents, they must multiple like rabbits but are much bigger. Hugs, Kathy USA 🇺🇸
Enormous tasks you have completed, Phil. You are a human machine. Your estate looks marvelous! Wow..what can't you do? Amazing man. The mischievous muskrat/coipoux has stolen a lovely hide-away, under your quaint bridge. I sense his days there are numbered...
You did very well Phil! Hard work pays off! Glad you have some help. When you must do al the work alone, it could be a bit overwhelming. But What you allready did, makes a huge differents!💋
Go Phil go you are doing brilliant give lightening a pat from me l expect it is to hot for him to be out during the day see you next time sending you a big boost of energy and your usual big huggles from Lynda ❤❤
Hope you do have time to clear around the old bridge Phil, it would look fabulous … and also be good to move that critter on well away from the campers.
Hi Phil Was just going through some old photos of the Harley in your courtyard, when this video popped up! Glad things are still going well. I'm still having a blast in Burgundy but will definitely come to see you when I'm next oop north 😁
You’ve made large strides in getting your garden presentable. Bloody tree! Very pretty stone work with your bridge into the camping area. Bugger about your rodent situation. More work there I’m afraid. May you please take care and stay safe. Louisa. 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩
You are making progress. It's definitely noticeable! Know what? I was planning to crash your party and raise a tent in the "camping area." Then you said rodents feed there before returning to their home under the bridge. Maybe next year. Now it looks like I'll have to sneak into Billy's convent and make strange noises for his iPad to record. 👍👍👍
After the party, you need an arborist to come out and tag all the trees, bushes and shrubs to get rid of. You have trees growing on different species of trees and generally the place needs to look “clean”. At its best, it looks terrifically overgrown even after your best efforts. Sorry but true.
In that berm, I would put a post painted white so it’s more visible at night. Maybe even with a reflector? [Or several smaller stakes?] My 2 cents... as if you don't already have enough to do! 😅
Phil, we can see how much hard work you have done. One thing which soo many people are asking is "Where is Lightening"? We have really missed you conversations with him. We know that you don't want to talk about your private life but we feel the well being of Lightening is open please.
Great work Phil, your yard is going to look pretty nice. Do you still have your dog? We would love to see him from time to time...I know your pretty busy right now, but maybe soon..thanks
I just love the bridge, WOW, I can picture it, all lit up maybe a light under it. Perfect for an evening stroll, got the view in my head now. Can't wait to see the clear up. When you do it, hope you share it with us ❤
Archeology, reclamation & animal management all in one day! You're a sometimes metal-smith; have you a modern day flail? If you hate the trimmer that much, get rid of the strings, replace with short lengths of chain, et voilà! I've watched homesteaders clear just about everything 2" thick or less, in the same amount of time. Handy things, those motorized flails😉👍
Great job Phil you are working your way through the tree and mess. I was wondering about your little buck toothed rodents and what has been going on with that situation, we know now what they are doing. They are moving out very slowly, as you take the cover of brush away they are leaving. Have a great day
Maybe rebuild the wall around that corner that is a steep drop for any person in the dark. The mulch looks good and good to reuse what you have to hand. Well done Phil.
Hello Phil…. My garden’s overgrown a bit and the gardener booked to call and quote didn’t turn up. Tired of spending money on it now :/ Looks like you’re doing ok… good 😆 Could that wood hop go on to the water by the bridge. Make it so the rats don’t want to be there? 🤷♀️
Your place is starting to come together. Always neat to see what you are up to. I figure party panic mode starts next week. :o :) Strimming is pretty horrible in general. I have enough weeds that I need one regularly as well. My sympathies. :) I have found the crap factor goes down a great deal with a good electric model. I run an EGO and it's more powerful than the gas strimmers I have had. So much quieter and much less vibration and heat. I also find it beneficial that it can quickly start and stop the string...helps with snags a great deal. I am having to try and trap a few destructive ground squirrels right now (ended up with a skunk this morning :)) - I'm on a smaller scale than your rodents and I can relocate them easily enough (compared to you: super easy, barely an inconveniece :)). They still destroy a lot in the meantime but this is a no-kill zone if possible, so I have to be patient. Always looking forward to the next chapter!
Do you have a woodshed to store green and seasoned firewood on the property? I just recently completed a small woodshed with recycled wood decking and new treated lumber for the framing. I have some fallen trees on my property that need cutting and split some day and stored in my woodshed.
Looking Good Phil , hard work pays off 😎 Q. What exactly is the critter/rodent? That is the size of a small dog😮. Keep the head down and you’ll make your deadline. Cheers Judith 🦋
Getting closer to the big party! 🤗Where's Lightening? Miss him!
There’s nothing like the incentive of a party to get things done. My mom has always said that we should throw one every year for that very reason. Seeing a big difference Phil. Carry on! I’m rooting for you😃
Wow! You’ve really been busy, Phil! Keep it up & you will meet your goal! No doubt!
The old bridge would look great cleared of the vegetation. Lovely area. Looking good.
The clearer to cut back the less critters you’ll have! I wouldn’t even worry about the chateau until winter! Focus on clearing your low brush and get them critters gone!
Wow - Herculean effort on getting it all done. You’re almost there Phil!
Much nicer landscape when the waterways , bridges and buildings are exposed. Nice you shred and reuse too, beautiful!
You’re doing great! Finally, you are seeing very evident results. Often, so much (unnoticeable) work has to be done before the “light at the end of the tunnel” is in sight. A real morale boost for sure. 👍🏻👍🏻
The new bed on the trailer seems to be working out nicely.
Such a huge difference Phil!! You’re keeping up a great pace

You're really cracking on now Phil! No doubt it's feeling good!
That little arch under the bridge is lovely. You are making such a difference to the grounds - looks great.
Looking great Phil coming along nicely
Phil, you are doing a bang up job on the clean up. It will be so worth it!
Way to go, Phil! You are making great progress! Keep up the good work!
It’s really starting to look very pretty… tomorrow another big push will be fantastic.
You’re a hard worker Phil! It’s looking good.
Great job Phil! Those critters sure are invasive. All this work and filming and editing too, awesome job! 🇨🇦❤️
clearing around the old bridge will help to preserve it - letting it get overgrown will definitely damage it from the roots of the trees.
Great job Phil, the yard is really looking good these days. You are having a real problem with those rodents, they must multiple like rabbits but are much bigger. Hugs, Kathy USA 🇺🇸

The grounds are really changing. Great job, especially as your doing about 90% by yourself👍. Its coming together. Take care🤗🇬🇧

Always appreciate you and your hard work .. place looks great 🎉

Excellent use of time, space and wood chips! Love hearing the owl in the background.
Hope you do have time to clear around the old bridge Phil, it would look fabulous … and also be good to move that critter on well away from the campers.

Good idea with clearing around the trees, and use the wood chips there❤
Great work!😊 It's looking better and better. You'll be ready for the 🥳 🎉 🪅 🎊 🍺 🍻 party!
Great progress! You're gonna get there!!
In the long run hard work pays off
I use white vinegar, salt and Dawn dish soap. Works quickly and doesn't damage environment.
That's exactly what Phil uses on the driveway & around the cobble stone drains. Works like a charm😉👍
That’s some hard work!

Well done Phil.
Looking good Phil.
Its looking good Phil ❤
The only time my house is absolutely pristine clean is when family is coming for Thanksgiving or Christmas. The rest of the time I settle for tidy.
Wood chips could be spread where the campers are going to park … especially if it rains

Phil those would be adorable to expose that bridge cause those trees will destroy everything there.
The bridge is beautiful Phil. Be careful.
Working alone, you certainly have to pace yourself. Things seem to be coming together.
Well done!
Great progress Phil. You can. Doit👏👏👏❤❤❤👌👌❤❤❤
Good morning Phil, great video and great person, fine job
Love the little bridge not so keen on the Critters 😂😂
Just keep going one step at a time you will nail it 👍🤗🍻
Love Sue❤❤❤🇬🇧❤❤❤
You're getting there Phil!

Happy birthday Simon
The little bridge is sweeeet! The "koi poo (sp? 😂 aka ? In US)" not sweet, it's lookin good 😁👍
Phil- have you tried putting some barley bales in your pond/moat to help clear the algae? Works wonders here in mid USA.
I just love the bridge, WOW, I can picture it, all lit up maybe a light under it. Perfect for an evening stroll, got the view in my head now. Can't wait to see the clear up. When you do it, hope you share it with us ❤
Thank you for sharing 😊

Can you add color to the moat fencing for visual safety check. Would like to see you have volunteers to help with this
You are making progress. Crack on.
I couldn't camp out there knowing that the critters are running around. I have seen muskrat. They are gross
What about strimming with headphones (with good music)? Maybe it helps? Your place ist getting more and more beautiful!
G'day Phil, nice ta seeya! Those rodents are doing a bita damage. Your doing a real good job, keep up the good work. Stay vertical tho Eh!
I am sending good vibes for your clean up process, and maybe some help too.
Here across the pond we get bob cats & coyotes. Its always something! One step at a time.

Put the wood chips on the areas that get muddy.
🏰🏰
Where's Lighting, your dog?
Rodents of unusual size. From The Princess Bride movie.
@@doreleimcmillan7924 🤣
Do you have rat holes in the ground. They usually bourogh in the ground. The lady down the street had 16 rodant holes under her tree
Do you have a woodshed to store green and seasoned firewood on the property? I just recently completed a small woodshed with recycled wood decking and new treated lumber for the framing. I have some fallen trees on my property that need cutting and split some day and stored in my woodshed.
Those pesky critters living on your property, have you considered using noise to drive them away?
Phil why not make a big stack of logs on those corners and drops.
See the goat probably wasn't such a bad idea. I thought they got rid of your furry friends.
Can the wood chips be used in muddy places for walkways ori n flower beds?
