Well said. I'm a 20-year veteran, U.S. Army. Did we have the occasional racist, or left-wing/right-wing radical? Yep, but they were pretty few and far between. What we did have were a lot of young men and women proud to serve their country, at modest pay, in often less than stellar living conditions. My best friends were Black, White, and Hispanic, none of us had a political/social agenda...we were soldiers, and we did our jobs. Somebody owes us an apology. Bet I'll never hear one on CNN or MSNBC.
Everything has a percentage of just about everything. No matter what the job is. Military, police department, Walmart. Grocery store. Whatever.
How about an Apology from Faux New's for their 2020 election lies? You know the ones they agreed to pay 787.5 Million Dollars for.
Where is the outrage over that? Do they get a pass for that? Bet I'll never hear a Veteran admit faux news was full of liars.

I'm a Navy veteran, and I can tell you Tyrus is correct. When someone is saving your life, you don't care about his/her skin color.
20+ year veteran here. Doesn't matter what branch you serve in the only thing you care about is they are wearing the same uniform as you.
After more than 20 years in the active duty military, sitting through that extremism training was the first time I realized it was time for me to retire.

I am a veteran. I served between conflicts... so no war stories. I have been in a "cattle car" with a black americian falling asleep on my shoulder and drooling on by field jacket. I have fallen asleep with me on a black american's shoulder, if I drooled, he never mentioned it. I once had a three day pass at the end of Basic Training. I spent it with Angel, a black Dominician from Harlem. Talk about culture shock for a white guy from Wisconsin! I loved it!

In the seven years of being in the military, I witnessed the exact opposite of extremism. The military had more brotherly/sisterly love between everyone of every race and background that it took me a few years to adjust to how discriminate non-military people were. I take offense to these liberal lies stating extremism exist in the military.
It's a shame that once people get out of the military they immediately become political activists. You can't claim to not be an activist if you are on a Fox news page. Lol.

What we have to remember is that the word "extremism" has been redefined to mean belief in the rule of law under the Constitution.
It is so refreshing to hear folks on TV defending our troops. Hearing the 100% true logic that the Generals and Admirals are those who have been in charge for years, obviously, have not done their duty of rooting out all of this prejudice was excellent.

My battle buddy was a black man and I still to this day love that man. The only racism I ever had in the military came from a white man that did not like me because I was able to do more pushups than him. Or something else. He said something to me and I said what let’s do this Ill f u up son. He backed down. I am an Alaskan Native and still I’ve met all kinds of folk in the military. Even a guy from India and we loved him. He made fun of us like we made fun of him. Best folks I ever met was in the Army. I wanted to go Airforce but my dad threw me into the Army when I was 16 boot at 17. Our country has just in the last decade I do believe has become weak. Sorry to say this but it has. I wish it was of the 80’s and 90’s when I was a teenager. We believed in our country back then. God bless all in this world to come together and just be happy with what we have.

My dad was a police officer of color in apartheid south africa for 21 years with no issues, he even was promoted to captain in 1990, the only reason he left is because in 93 when ANC took over they implemented affirmative action in2 everything including the police force and within a year the entire department was corrupted beyond repair

We generally think that soldiers only die in combat, but this isn't true.
Today I heard about a USAF bomber crew that had to eject from their airplane, how many of us have to be concerned about such things from day to day.

I totally agree with Pete - I was in the United States Navy back in the early 1980s - One of the most very important messages they stress in boot camp " IS NOT TO BE RACIST AND DO NOT BASE YOUR OPINIONS ON THE COLOR OF SOMEONE'S SKIN ! ".
We were told if you were down in the depths of a burning ship or building and a hand reach down to pull you out " are you going to question the color of that hand before you allow them to pull you out ?? Racism in the military is non-existent and has been for a very long time !
