32k km driven, 2 service completed and I paid 10k in total for service cost. The service cost is cheaper than petrol Baleno which I had owned earlier. Good review though

Skoda is Know for High-end Safety Vehicle . Using RAPID Since Jan 2016, Service is Slightly Costly upto 3k to 5k comparing same segment cars.But 15k Km or One Year Once is the service.. Insurance is around 27k to 30k. But Nevertheless one of the Best in the Segment. One Small Example about body build quality you can Open the Bannet and feel the weight. And Door can handle weight of upto 100+ Kg, You can Stand on the door with your hand on the door.
The same Quality is not there in City, Ciaz,Verna Etc...Same Build Quality is there on Vento ..But The Best is Yet to Come...After 4000 RPM it will Beat Vento (of Couse City ,Verna,Ciaz will be slower than this two)..
Above all its a Driver's Vechile.
Skoda's regular service is every 15,000 Kms or 1 Year whichever comes earlier. Can you tell me any Japanese or Korean car which has the same service interval? Then, how can the service charges be more? Just use a spreadsheet to calculate it. You will get surprised to know the prejudices! Spare parts cost according to the price of the car and the lifetime of the spares.
Skoda Rapid is a really enjoyable car!
Japanese engines and drivetrains are bullet proof, they keep chugging. As long as you use good fully synthetic oil, you can change oil yearly or every 15k kms as i do in my honda. None of that timing belt and v belt worries either.
C- segment is best in class for comfort drive .Once you drive never go other Hatchback etc .
I own 2018 Rapid 1.5 TDI DSG. I opted for 4 year maintenance package while buying the car. I need not pay single penny during the yearly service unless I go for extra services like wheel alignment, AC cleaning, etc. Rapid is one solid car. Other brands I feel it's all show and no go. Even with respect to looks of the car, I feel Rapid looks elegant and aged like fine wine. Comparing with other brands it's like German boy vs Korean/Japanese girl.
I agree with the point that service center should be available in your place because it gives a peace of mind that you can reach out if you face any problems.
Still Skoda Rapid beats all the C segment sedans acceleration, Power, Stability. The car might look less feature loaded and more expensive maintenance comparitively. Enthusiasts mostly go with Skoda and Volkswagen cars for their driving dynamics.

I had short listed Rapid Onyx. As the Vehical was not available, I purchased Vento TSI highline.
In terms of features, Highline is priced at ₹9.9 and gives rain sensing/ Auto wipers, Cruse control but Onyx has Xenon headlamps. It’s a win win depending on what you want. All Skoda and VW cards have a welcome service and 1 year derive. VW also offers 6th month / 7500km check additionally.
Chennai bumper to Bumper, Vento gives me 11-12 kmpl only. In Highway or By pass ride, I got 16.7 kmpl.

@@VM-zp1cz the only answer I got in 3 showrooms (Anna Nagar, Ambattur and Adambakkam) is that Vehical stock is limited and colour is not always of your choice.
So take a very experienced guy to bargain. You could make a good deal. Work out PVC Floor, carbon air filter kind of deals.
Insurance is also a good bargain. Up to 50% or a little more also based on dealer margin
Yesterday took my family for cinema afternoon with a plan of going to few other places evening ,but there was continuous rain coming out theater and one point windshield was full moist,don't know what to do struggled and went back to home,and watched your review rain tips and then applied ac with slight heat,windshield was clear and continued the plan,wish I should have parked the car and watched you video...Thanks birla sir

Currently staying in a village near to kallakurichi. I never thought I will be in my native for these many days (due to covid) ground clearance is good for country road, power and stability is awesome.
The believe they have in Germany cars are amazing multiple car manufacturers are having at least 3 services within a year but in skoda after the delivery I never gone back to show room for any reasons.

ground clearance is 116mm only (alto is 160mm), so consider this point before buy this Skoda Rapid. ...neenga highway mattum thaan ottuven, country roads, speed breaker otttamatena no issue...

That is laden ground clearance bro. Now a days it is mandated by the government to refer GC as laden. For your reference the unladen GC of Rapid should be 160 mm.

If you need a pocket friendly service for Skoda/VW you can opt for Bosch car service centre. German cars have about 60% Bosch parts supplied as a vendor. Also Bosch service centre is pocket friendly.

Bro, your videos are simple and precisely informative. Can you consider vehicles which has run at least 35 to 50k mileage or 3 to 4 years old vehicles for user review??. because mostly the first 1 or 2 years, there might not be any issues, and service charges will be very low or complimentary.

If I drive gently and maintain < 80kmph - It gives upto 18 kmpl.
If I push hard the mileage drops and getting around 12 - 15 kmpl. (with full load city and highway driving mixed).

Specifications were not discussed in this video. I think this model is 1000cc turbo charged 3 cylinder engine. Other sedans compared are 1500 cc 4 cylinder engine.

City driving I get only between 12-13 kmpl.
I've driven 13000kms. My overall average stands at 14 kmpl.

Diesel gives 20+ kmpl in highway if driven around 80kmph. In city it will give 15 to 18kmpl depending on the traffic conditions.
