I just have to say- I have unfollowed majority (as in like 98%) of the makeup youtubers i used to follow. I just stopped being interested in their work! You, however, were one of the first I followed and pretty much the only one I still watch! You keep everything simple and explain things so well. Hi Emily. I am 43 yrs old and I was never a makeup person, however I recently became disabled. I can't move well. I took up makeup as a hobby. I LOVE it. You have helped me so much. I now realize that things don't have to be perfect, and things can be fixed, and the look can still be good with a mistake. I've even had people ask me for help with their makeup. Lol. Oh my goodness, I have a chronic illness and have also taken make-up up as a hobby. It’s just a little thing that I do for me to make me feel a bit more put together despite the pain, nausea and fatigue. Bronzer, blush, lipstick and dry shampoo are my mainstays! Take care 🐨

We should never feel pressured to get it "perfect" - but always have the aim of enjoying ourselves and the process. I haven't tried out anything from the balm for a while because what i have from them are not finished up for years lol. I have a big hit on the pan of mary loumanizer, bahama mama and meet matte trimony shades yet there is still plenty of products left 👀 my instain blushes, they don't even seem to be used, and i use these products constantly 🤣

I'll watch anything you make and hope you love your new products (I just started the video), but I can't support TheBalm. Horrifically bad customer service. Worst I've ever experienced in the makeup industry. I'll never buy from them again. There are multiple Facebook groups, chatroom chains and general reviews from others who had similar experiences with the company, so I know my experiences isn't uncommon.

This takes me wayyyy back to Emily's bright pink room! It seems like it's been ages since anyone has talked about The Balm. I'm not sure why because the quality was always really wonderful. I had some of their products and while the colors never quite worked for my extremely pale and pink undertones, there is no question they do things well. I shared this video with my daughter who was a teenager when Emily was talking about The Balm back in the day. My daughter is now a college graduate and out on her own. It is nice that we can reminisce about the makeup of days gone by. I love being able to share things with my daughter and makeup and beauty stuff has always been fun for us. I have such wonderful memories tied to eyeshadow palettes and the makeup we've used over time. Many of these things have been some of Emily's favorites!
The Wet n Wild Incognito concealer has quickly moved to my no. 1 spot! (It beat out the Elf hydrating concealer!) I have mature skin, and it seems easier to apply and sets down beautifully!

I hide emotionally from Thanksgiving thru mid-January. Ready for Christmas? ME?!? I take on Bailey's Irish Cream and real - not decaf - coffee. I don't drink alcohol or coffee at all during the rest of the year. Oh, and THC with the Grateful Dead! We all cope however we can! I thank my doctors for their beta blockers and ARBs. I think face palettes like The Balm are such a value. Great qualiry and versatility as you have shown in the video. Em, if you are looking for a great, clean mascara- I love the Merit mascara. Extends my lashes and NO clumps.
Vaavoooom! What a gorgeous look and that palette truly is so versatile. You’re right, we shouldn’t underestimate the value of a good baseline palette . Anyone with a real life isn’t wearing peacock and citron on a regular. Those injections just become a wasted footprint and frankly, an annoyance in a palette to me. It’s like grocery shopping and buying an obscure ingredient that you’ll only ever use once, maybe. Nope, not buying it! Your eyebrows are killer, so jealous 😩

Nice video! I wish more make up companies would put together compilations like this - and make the affordable! I love trying out new makeup, but hate buying full size products (what if I don't like them???) so this is a great way to try lots of new things!
I love face products like these, or in an ideal world, brands who sell only minis. I now only wear makeup a few times a week and while I have downsized my collection in a huge way, I still gravitate towards very similar products at all times. I'd be far more likely to buy a mini product (like these in the face palette seem to be as singles!) or this face palette. Fun seeing The Balm again, I used to love them.
Totally agree! I’d rather more small products even if they are slightly more per ounce. I’d rather use a full 15ml product for $20 than half a 30ml product for $30. Ml for ml it’s cheaper to buy the 30ml but as I dont finish them up quickly or at all cause I want a few colours it’s actually a saving to me to get a smaller product.

Why would anyone care what color eyeshadow you use? I mean come on your channel is about reviewing products, discovering new things, using older things with a splash of teaching techniques. And it's mostly about looks that are doable and "wearable". you also throw in a little color and glam occasionally. Point being if they want a variety of looks or colorful, artistic makeup there are channels for that so why complain you use the colors you like?

I luv drugstore makeup but HATE the one time packaging. For 2022 I was not going to buy any more cosmetics. I think I can make it but now I might be swayed. Recyclable packaging, and the best thing quality makeup. Wish me luck.
I don't understand why The Balm won't create any NEW products. Every release is a palette full of old "favorites" and it reminds me of bands who only release "greatest hits" albums. I'd be more than happy to help them out if they don't have a creative team for putting together new product ideas. I've got a million of them and I think some would be Holy Grail status for anyone interested in makeup. You could give them a ton of ideas, as well, I'm certain of that! You have an excellent eye for good, quality, interesting products and I'm certain that, having used your palettes, you could definitely lead them on to victory.✌🏻 😘💋🤟🏻
I bought the It's A Date blush & couldn't get it to pick up no matter what brush I used. It was like a solid brick. Even rubbing my finger on it barely rubbed off any color. I was so disappointed since I was hoping it would replace In Stain Swiss Dot. The Balm is no longer carrying most of my favorite blush & bronzers unfortunately. I would love to repurchase fresh versions of my favorites but I guess I can't :( At least I was able to get a new Frat Boy...

All I can say is that ...hands down..the best all in one face and eye palette is the one that Emily curated for Revolution. It's The Needs palette and it's amazing! Hahaha so....there was a mostly badly acted old teaching PBS show and they would always say 'let's review and discuss' after every scene....i think it was this foreign prone to learn how American s were and how to respond? I hide emotionally from Thanksgiving thru mid-January. Ready for Christmas? ME?!? I take on Bailey's Irish Cream and real - not decaf - coffee. I don't drink alcohol or coffee at all during the rest of the year. Oh, and THC with the Grateful Dead! We all cope however we can! I thank my doctors for their beta blockers and ARBs. I thank EMILY for the nudges towards instant gratification - new make-up is my mantra! Why not try looking way better than I feel? Thank you Emily! PS You rock the plums and berries! I am looking forward to working with that brown shadow. I already have the blushes and bronzer featured in this palette, but I'll pop them out and put them in a z palette for my sister. I have both one & two in this line and had been waiting for number three. Thank you for introducing me to this brand so many years ago. Some of the best formulas I've ever tried.
I think face palettes like The Balm are such a value. Great qualiry and versatility as you have shown in the video. Em, if you are looking for a great, clean mascara- I love the Merit mascara. Extends my lashes and NO clumps.

Vaavoooom! What a gorgeous look and that palette truly is so versatile. You’re right, we shouldn’t underestimate the value of a good baseline palette . Anyone with a real life isn’t wearing peacock and citron on a regular. Those injections just become a wasted footprint and frankly, an annoyance in a palette to me. It’s like grocery shopping and buying an obscure ingredient that you’ll only ever use once, maybe. Nope, not buying it! Your eyebrows are killer, so jealous 😩

Nice video! I wish more make up companies would put together compilations like this - and make the affordable! I love trying out new makeup, but hate buying full size products (what if I don't like them???) so this is a great way to try lots of new things!
I love face products like these, or in an ideal world, brands who sell only minis. I now only wear makeup a few times a week and while I have downsized my collection in a huge way, I still gravitate towards very similar products at all times. I'd be far more likely to buy a mini product (like these in the face palette seem to be as singles!) or this face palette. Fun seeing The Balm again, I used to love them.
Totally agree! I’d rather more small products even if they are slightly more per ounce. I’d rather use a full 15ml product for $20 than half a 30ml product for $30. Ml for ml it’s cheaper to buy the 30ml but as I dont finish them up quickly or at all cause I want a few colours it’s actually a saving to me to get a smaller product.

Pairs great with a rosy lip - the Maybelline Superstar Matte Ink or Ink crayons are great for parties since you don't have to worry about smudges! :)

Why would anyone care what color eyeshadow you use? I mean come on your channel is about reviewing products, discovering new things, using older things with a splash of teaching techniques. And it's mostly about looks that are doable and "wearable". you also throw in a little color and glam occasionally. Point being if they want a variety of looks or colorful, artistic makeup there are channels for that so why complain you use the colors you like?

I luv drugstore makeup but HATE the one time packaging. For 2022 I was not going to buy any more cosmetics. I think I can make it but now I might be swayed. Recyclable packaging, and the best thing quality makeup. Wish me luck.

I don't understand why The Balm won't create any NEW products. Every release is a palette full of old "favorites" and it reminds me of bands who only release "greatest hits" albums. I'd be more than happy to help them out if they don't have a creative team for putting together new product ideas. I've got a million of them and I think some would be Holy Grail status for anyone interested in makeup. You could give them a ton of ideas, as well, I'm certain of that! You have an excellent eye for good, quality, interesting products and I'm certain that, having used your palettes, you could definitely lead them on to victory.✌🏻 😘💋🤟🏻

I bought the It's A Date blush & couldn't get it to pick up no matter what brush I used. It was like a solid brick. Even rubbing my finger on it barely rubbed off any color. I was so disappointed since I was hoping it would replace In Stain Swiss Dot. The Balm is no longer carrying most of my favorite blush & bronzers unfortunately. I would love to repurchase fresh versions of my favorites but I guess I can't :( At least I was able to get a new Frat Boy...

All I can say is that ...hands down..the best all in one face and eye palette is the one that Emily curated for Revolution. It's The Needs palette and it's amazing! Every time I try some other product I always go back to her palette. Thank you so much Emily! How about a tutorial with The Needs palette.. revisit your own masterpiece!
Hahaha so....there was a mostly badly acted old teaching PBS show and they would always say 'let's review and discuss' after every scene....i think it was this foreign prone to learn how American s were and how to respond? Your "let's discuss" line reminded me of it....was a running joke with me and my mom for years
I love the idea of a full face multi-tasker. IT Cosmetics would be even better if they did more neutrals with pops of color and included some mini brushes. (I know, that’s a lot. But… IT Cosmetics has some fantastic brushes. Back to this, I need a mirror to get on board.
