I feel like Viz knew it was my birthday today and gave me a gift. Red River, Collette and Last Quarter? I'm so happy. 😊
Red River has me rattling the bars of my cage I cannot believe we're getting it back in circulation via omnis!! If this opens the doors to more of their older shojos coming back I'll lose my mind for real!!! Collette is also huge I'm so stoked to have it in my hands! What a hype round of announcements

Red River is one of those I regretted not picking up when I was young
I had read Red River in online when I was a teen and it really made me cry by it's wonderful characters and I never expected from Viz media to re-release this , I would love to collect this wonderful manga it's absolutely written as a female teen's perspective , every teen must read this underrated masterpiece
Wasn't in a million years expecting Crazy Diamonds Demonic Heartbreak to get an official English release. So excited!
Shojo fans needed this one for sure lol and so hopeful plus happy to see what's beyond the horizon, like reprints and other stuff. Also, the JoJo spin-off story plus illustration book LFG getting printed in English is freaking epic, so stoked.

I really enjoyed the livestream and everyone that participated with their enthusiasm. So many killer announcements, was fun seeing Shojo Beat's tweet about reprints come to fruition! :)
And hopefully not the last of their reprints to be announced!

I also want to look into the Kaiju no. 8 light novel. I’ve also never looked at light novels but, I’ve got new things to experience this year.

I'm really happy about Red River! I did buy the first couple of volumes when the series released in Germany in 2006 (here it's called "Anatolia Story") but sadly sold them (space issues) and they're totally out of print and rare. So I'm definitely going to buy the english 3-in-1 version now! 🥳
I was debating about buying the Collette manga for a while - we already have up to volume 11 with 12 coming this month - here in Germany and now I've ordered all of them because you praised it so much. 😅🙈

Absolutely INSANE Red River is getting a rerelease. I just completed the series a couple years ago in print, cause it’s one of my faves (most money I’ve ever spent on manga. 😅) So happy to hear it will be more accessible, and discoverable to new readers!
Now I need them to take a long hard look at From Far Away. 🤞
This was a damn good license slate, especially in regards to Shoujo which Viz has been slacking on lately. Otaku Vampires Love Bite i expected since its from the Kamisama Kiss author and im happy to see they're getting more Ai Yazawa stuff but Red River and Colette were incredible surprises. Red River is something thats been OOP for so long and the fact that its being rereleased is not only great news for other OOP Shoujo series (like Basara, From Far Away, Please Save My Earth etc....) but other long OOP Viz series that dont have a popular creator or new anime to make them relevant so thats awesome, and Colette is something ive wanted for a while that i really didnt expect Viz to get but im happy they did i cant wait to read it!! (and yes there is a sequel, its 1 volume so i assume they'll announce it right before the main series wraps) Aside form the Shoujo ive heard Trillion Game is good, After God sounds interesting and from the pics ive seen has fantastic art and i have a friend who adores Rainbow After Storms. Overall great set of announcments today, cant wait to read Collette in the fall!
Also Re: Last Quarter, according to Shoujo Beats socials it will be release in individual volumes (specifically based on the 2 volume japanese release) with a color gallery in the same oversized trim as stuff from the Signature line

Mushishi is kodansha and Dark Horse is interested in The Climber if Innocent sells well.
I Wish Mushishi gets a new release because I want a physical copy but it’s so expensive to get.

With Viz releasing a number of older titles, I wonder if they'll go back and re/finish releasing Beet the Vandal Buster at some point.
This was an exciting announcement 😊, I'm excited for the before demon slayer anthology, Oda one shots, jojo art book and spin off 😆. Can't wait for the twilight princess box set too.
I'm excited to read _Uncanny,_ but the only thing I was really hoping for was _Mujina into the Deep._
It’s just a bit too early for that one. They’ll usually wait close to a year after a series began to announce the English print license. It’s inevitable though.
I really hope that since we're getting Crazy Diamonds Demonic Heartbreak it also means that we'll be getting Purple Haze Feedback in an english print

Has there been any word on more Rumiko Takahashi Signature Editions now that Urusei Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku, Mermaid Saga, Ranma 1/2 & Inuryasha have been done? There's still One-pound Gospel, Rumic Theater/World they can do in the larger format

I've been manifesting for a RED RIVER rerelease/reprint for years. I'm so happy that it's granted. And I wish it will be available here in the Philippines. I only rely on illegal sites if I want to read red river for years.😭😭

Stone Ocean has just started releasing with viz confirming they sped up the process to get to steel ball run faster so the announcement will most likely be next year

Not really sure why you need an announcement for it. They are releasing the series in order so it will come when they finish the story ahead of it.

The announcements were kind of whatever to me. After God and Trillion Game sound kinda interesting plus the one piece, jojos, and ghibli extras are somewhat nice. I guess grats to shojo fans. Would have liked to see at least 1 new wsj series announced as well viz still ignoring all the requests for the climber, kingdom, and baki. Meh.
The Climber will go to Dark Horse, nobody will get Kingdom MAYBE until after it’s done (Dark Horse already declined the license so I’m sure other publishers already have as well), and Baki isn’t published by anyone related to VIZ (it’s from Akita Shoten, which doesn’t have an American branch) so if you want that one it would be much more effective to ask Seven Seas or another independent publisher.
