Three definite buys from this list for me include, Smoking Behind the Supermarket vol 1 (waited so long for this release and I couldn't be more excited), Golden Kamuy 31 (comfortably one of my all time favourite series) and Dandadan vol 6 (it just keeps getting better).
It's so good to hear your thoughts on what you're reading and what you're not sure you'll keep purchasing.
**Advice
Like thumbnail, bring all your new manga in front of you in a table or something so that viewers can see all the manga then review it and try to tell the story in short of the manga. Then your watch time will drastically change.
I don’t put myself in my thumbnails because I am not the focus of the videos. I also will not give a synopsis for every single volume because I will lose my voice from the amount of talking, editing will take too long, and watch time doesn’t increase with longer videos, especially not for haul videos. Ive proven all of these to myself from almost a decade of making videos like this and seeing what succeeds and what fails.
Happy to hear that volume 2 of Tokyo Babylon clicked for you - it’s a CLAMP series that I revisit every couple of years since first reading it in 2015 and I’m enjoying the Yen Press releases a lot!

Beastrings let’s go!! Such a good book. Full of humans, beastmen, elves, demons, etc. They are anthropomorphic animals but not in the same vein as Beastars which were closer to animals while these are closer to humans in the anthropomorphism spectrum.
Steel of celestial shadows was so good.

I freaked out about it a bit over on Twitter when it was announced. I’ve had the Essential paperback for years so it’ll be nice to upgrade to a full color version.
you don't really buy any older series is there a specific reason or is there not really any older series your interested in
I’m to the point that anything older I would want is very hard to find so it’s seldom I grab anything that isn’t a new release.

So i have been wanting to read Rurouni kenshin so should I pick pick 3 in 1 or go for the Vizbig edition?
Considering the GOAT 🐐 , or God of Manga, has been dead for 35 years I would hope it wasn’t him being considered the one who made it lol 😂. I say that in consideration to AI now having the ability to imitate artists and musicians and release material under their name. Tezuka Productions is looked after by people who worked with him and knew him well. I just hope they continue to honor the man’s legacy and works properly with their new releases. As a lifelong fan, I am optimistic, and don’t wish to be cynical.
It seems like Tezuka’s works and messages are as relevant now as they ever were. I hope we can get more titles in the industry that have similar levels of thoughtfulness and wisdom to share for readers across the globe. Tezuka was as foundational to manga as Kirby was to American comics and sci fi.

The point of me saying that was to clarify that it’s not a printing of an old Tezuka title but a new series from another creator utilizing his characters in a new way. Without that clarification there would absolutely be confusion on the matter and I’d be held responsible by someone who bought it believing it was the former. I’ve been making content long enough to predict issues before they happen and to know how to step around them.
Yeah, it’s always great to have foresight. Good call. I’ve seen the new title. It appears to be taking Tezuka’s properties and applying a battle Shonen aesthetic to them. Might be worth checking out for fans of both! 🙌
Funny thought 🤔 but what if it could have been Tezuka who did it? There is an excerpt in one of his books by someone who knew him, saying he wouldn’t be surprised if Tezuka was an alien who came to earth to teach humanity to reflect on itself. Once his task was done, he didn’t actually die but he left us to return home.
I can’t recall off hand which title of his I read this in, it is on my shelf somewhere. I remember thinking it was trippy but sentimental and touching.

Under Ninja anime finished last year and it was bad, not going to judge the manga off that just kind of a shame.
Mob Psycho 100 anime is amazing.. I felt that there were more hilarious scenes in anime compared to the Manga.
