I don’t wear undershirts in the summer and only wear them during the Fall and Winter for layering. I only wear non-aluminum deodorant so I don’t have worry about yellow stains.
I always wear them with my dress shirt, or any type of button up/down shirt simply because they absorb armpit sweat. The real question that I want to know is if we should wear them with a t-shirt? Because if we don't then t-shirts will show sweat stains... back in the 90s with baggier clothing styles almost everyone did because they were easy to hide under a baggy shirt. Now with everything being fitted, I'm not sure if they should be worn or not.
TKD Guy he is my two cents. If you are talking style wise then the answer IMO is no. It looks bad and really it doesn’t make sense to wear a undershirt under a t-shirt. They are basically almost the same thing. Fashion wise it depends on what you like. In America it’s a thing and even people show their undershirt when wearing a dress shirt. T-shirts are replaceable items not like a good dress shirt which can last for years. But if you have a T-Shirt you just love then I suggest you wear deodorant when you are wearing that specific shirt.
I can definitely speak to the "leveling up" advice. About two years ago, I started following Antonio and Alpha M.'s advice, and started dressing sharp. One of my longtime friends commented that she's never seen me dress casually. To which I reminded her that, until 2018, I used to wear t-shirts and hoodies. Also, getting your clothes tailored makes a huge difference. I bought a sewing machine and learned to do it myself, but the principle is the same. Tons of people have complimented me on my clothes. A lot of people (including my neighbors) even think I lost weight, just because my clothes fit properly now.
Name And Address Supplied I don’t think I’m pretentious just because I don’t want to look working class. Surely you understand that, I mean, you’re watching an RMRS video right?
Pink is such a good color to utilize. It really makes the wearer pop out and stand out more. For any skin color/tone or hair color just gotta keep in mind how to balance it out.

@@billysinge8977 it definitely is vulgar, such kind of outrageous style with huge logo's on the back or the breast are very common over here in Europe, Armani Gucci, wrong tie color with wrong shirts. I like old school clothing style.
Agree with almost all the comments. I don’t wear an undershirt, but definitely buy what you can afford. Spending the little extra to get better shoes or clothes makes all the difference. Though I think you missed socks, matching the correct colour of socks is more important than a pocket square.
My dad always taught me to wear undershirts. He wore formals his whole life and always looked smart in it. Now that I grew up, I realise how right he was. Undershirts are very important with formals, specially if you do a job that has a gentleman uniform. Imagine how a Pilot would look like if he wore nothing inside his white shirt. Very odd. Undershirts really go well with uniforms.

Most informative channel on youtube if you think of styling.. Hats off Mr. Antonio..love this channel and I'm a subscriber when you had below a million subs.
I so agree with the leveling up. I work for a bus company as a driver and we have a uniform. Thankfully the company only supplied the shirts and tie. I bought Taylor fitted dress pants and a black vest, as well a pair of excellent dress shoes. My attitude was upbeat and I always looked my best without fail. In one year from getting hired I am being promoted to management. I take my occupation seriously and I show that in both dress and a confident attitude. It does pay off! Excellent message keep up the videos.

Because of Antonio, I bought a pair of Johnston and Murphy leather dress shoes (the Campbell cap toe in black) with shoe trees. The shoes were $200 (on-sale) and the trees were about $30. That is the finest pair of shoes I have ever worn. Leather sole, leather exterior, calfskin footbed and interior, and cork under the footbed. It's totally worth it to buy a good pair of shoes. They are more comfortable and make you feel more confident.
Hey Antonia. Love the channel! You're doing a great job. I think part of "Real Style" is also about know how to behave in public. Just last week I took my lady to a classy Italian restaurant here in the UK. I handed my coat to the waiter to store for me, and sat down. Other diners who came in "declined" this offer and instead hung their (ugly) coats on the backs of their chairs. This is something I really hate and spoils the whole look of the room and dining experience. Some of my friends just don't get this though...
Well, from a french perspective undershirts are something we've mostly seen on US movies and sitcoms or worn by our elderly. Not a problem per say. But if you are below 70 and do not wear that combo ironically, people will either find it a bit weird as a current "fashion statement" or assume you don't care. Or that you still follow guidelines your mom gave you when you were 5 and you needed a extra layer of clothe to keep you warm even thought it's 20°C outside.
Great video! Wish I had known this years ago. I got into the habit of wearing workout clothes whenever I went out and ended up just looking like slob all the time without realizing it.

There are specific situations for a clip on necktie. If you work security they are the only neckties you would be allowed to wear for safety reasons. Other than that, yeah, no clip ons.
I was all in except for the under shirt. Man it’s humid here and having an under shirt beneath a dress shirt and a jacket = sweaty mess. Great tips tho! 👍🏼👍🏼
I agree. Unless you don't have the money right away but still want to build you're wardrobe. So I bought cheap till I can save up and have something more expensive. I should not have to wait to look nice. Take care of what I got until I can afford better. ✌
Definitely agree with you, Jay. If you haven’t already, check out our channel as well. We have several videos discussing where you can find much higher quality shoes at a cheaper price...as well as many shoe care tutorials. Like Antonio said, we’re all about men taking care of their shoes, no matter what the price.
I woke up my next door's neighbors with my laughter after listening that that silly red shirt with checkered tie actually sells like pancakes. One of the bad things of having your window open during nice spring nights in the Mediterranean....
I really find with an undershirt you need a smooth non-cotton material so that the dress shirt over it falls nicely. Particularly if it’s a slim fit shirt.
my 2 cents shop smart tip: TJ Maxx stores and online especially the "runway" part of the site often has great items for men; you have to be ok with leaving empty handed a lot but sometimes you find that "find"
I agree 100% on the cheap shoes segment. I bought less expensive shoes all the time. I recently started buying better shoes and oh wow the difference is amazing.
Me too I actually have a similar blue shirt like shown in the video and wear it often and I would like a red shirt Also, what is wrong buying tie + shirt set? You don't have to wear them together
The bottom button thing on waistcoats does come from over here in England, but it was a functional ‘trend’ that was popularised by working men. Undoing the bottom button prevented ride-up of the waistcoat whilst on horseback 👍
Mea culpa: I like square shoes because of the shape of my feet. I have a thin heel but a large foot. See it as a V shape. So round shaped shoes squeeze my toes even when I buy large sized shoes...when I can. Wich is not often. This bring me to my next point: my only solace are in cheap shoes. I can’t seem to find alternative to my needs in "expensive shoes". Anyhow, my suits are always on point and I can manage to drag the attention away from my feet with my confidence
This video reminds me of when I worked in a high end dept. store and did the alterations on men's clothing. It always amazed me how little my customers knew about how a jacket should fit them. i would run my hands up the sleeves before measuring for arm length. If the jacket lifted at the shoulders I would tell them not to go for it. You can alter a lot but a shoulder lift is never to be undertaken lightly. You can take in a jacket but it's hard to alter the shoulder because of the way shoulders are cut and then built, Trousers were always easy enough, except jeans. They were a nightmare
The biggest mistake is still to blindly follow all of the so called "rules" of fashion. Finding and enjoying a way to dress is and should Always be a personal choice.
As someone that is very passionate about niche perfumes, always go niche if you have the money and are looking for a nice cologne. I recommend Lucky Scent Shop and Fragranatica for discovering new scents. Niche will always smell nicer, be more unique, and contain higher quality ingredients.
Why? Leverage is just as applicable maybe even more applicable than all the words you listed considering the suit is an authority garment makes perfect sense to use "leverage"
He’s so right about cheap shoes. Nordstrom’s private label has high quality shoes at a fraction of high end Ferragamo’s. Very close in quality but much more affordable
The dress shirt is the undershirt to the jacket. I can see wearing undershirts in colder months when going from hot buildings and vehicles from cold outdoor temps cause uncomfortable sweating (or is one is a profuse sweater). I usually wear a thin performance shirt as a base layer (not cotton) in winter but the other 3 seasons none at all.

Very different to a French Canadian perspective where layering matters. if the temperature hits 20C the weather station will have a heat warning.
If its casual shirt I don't bother tuck it with undershirt, but if it's a suit its gross not to wear undershirt, it's not even manhood.

Thanks Antonio, I'm in my 40s and I've learned a lot from your channel. My wife has noticed it!
I wear undershirts in the hottest day of summer, and thankfully im not guilty of any of the mistakes🔥🤘🏼
Undershirts, first and foremost!!
I've bought a couple of shirt/tie combos on sale.
That doesn't mean I wear them together.
I really find with an undershirt you need a smooth non-cotton material so that the dress shirt over it falls nicely. Particularly if it’s a slim fit shirt.
I think cotton is better for the skin and absorbing sweat.
my 2 cents shop smart tip: TJ Maxx stores and online especially the "runway" part of the site often has great items for men; you have to be ok with leaving empty handed a lot but sometimes you find that "find"
I'm from Sweden and i've never even seen a package like that , haha!
V neck undershirt pair with my white dress shirt, during autumn and winter, also when I am going to stuck in my shirt for many hours during flight.
After age of 12 you can’t wear a clip on I’m 15 and can tie 3 amazing knots
BOOM - Champion!
It must be a very long tie to have three knots ;-)
Steve Carter hahhaha I meant three different. As you can see I’m not brilliant. 😂
People still wear a tie🤔
@Mr. Atlas You just gave me hope for the future
I agree 100% on the cheap shoes segment. I bought less expensive shoes all the time. I recently started buying better shoes and oh wow the difference is amazing.
I find it funny how I actually own a red shirt like that, ofc tho I always knew it’s not a dress shirt but more of a clubbing shirt 😂
Good stuff. Particularly at the end where elevating and putting our best foot forward will accrue and pay dividends. Very powerful. Thank you.
i like the red and blue shirts
Where do you wear it?
@@RealMenRealStyle uni or just out and about
Me too
I actually have a similar blue shirt like shown in the video and wear it often and I would like a red shirt
Also, what is wrong buying tie + shirt set?
Great point with the compounding interest of dressing slightly better than expected.
35 years old. Thought I was a grown man til I started watching these videos lol
Washable pants: wash and dry on hot multiple times before hemming. Dry clean only: at least once…steam irons will help the pants shrink too.
Jeremy fragrance: allow me to introduce myself
P.s his recommendations are really good
This video reminds me of when I worked in a high end dept. store and did the alterations on men's clothing.
As long as you don't have doubts on your style.
As someone that is very passionate about niche perfumes, always go niche if you have the money and are looking for a nice cologne. I recommend Lucky Scent Shop and Fragranatica for discovering new scents. Niche will always smell nicer, be more unique, and contain higher quality ingredients.
Feels like i watched 10 Min of ad😅
Time works very strange in your world......
The OG of style guru’s has SPOKEN!!!!
As the saying goes
‘Every Girl is crazy ‘bout a sharp dressed man’
ZZ Top
Great video! Dress for success and you shall receive it. In the office, this is vital and people do notice
Can we please avoid the managementbuzzwordspeak?
Why say "leverage" when you can say "use"? Or "wear"? Or even "take full advantage of?"
Why? Leverage is just as applicable maybe even more applicable than all the words you listed considering the suit is an authority garment makes perfect sense to use "leverage"
He’s so right about cheap shoes. Nordstrom’s private label has high quality shoes at a fraction of high end Ferragamo’s. Very close in quality but much more affordable
he reminds me of the shamwow guy in the way he talks
The dress shirt is the undershirt to the jacket. I can see wearing undershirts in colder months when going from hot buildings and vehicles from cold outdoor temps cause uncomfortable sweating (or is one is a profuse sweater). I usually wear a thin performance shirt as a base layer (not cotton) in winter but the other 3 seasons none at all.
Don’t buy clothing in sets?
Does that includes suits? Just kidding 😏
Antonio--Outstanding info you provide in all of your videos! (Are you wearing a t-shirt in this one??!?!?)
He always does but it's usually the 'invisible' one.
So much paid advertising and sponsored product placement... 🤦🤦. Pretty non genuine...
Men's fashion the way it's meant to be done, classy and manly. Great content.
I support the death penalty for anyone caught wearing square toed shoes
One of the best things about rmrs is that their advertisement part is short and precise.i enjoy watching this guy
All good advice, especially with wearing a white dress shirt, makes the outfit look clean and crisp
