If you pay attention to the majority of cases the "wonderful, beautiful, caring, best light in the world" people are almost always drug addicted, cheating, trashy humans who were doing something sketchy. When it's a victim, that does not justify them getting killed, but it's clear that more often than not they're speaking extremely well of a person that was a known jerk.

Sheila cries for Matthew but not baby Ember? the cousin is lying, and Sheila knows what happened. he either killed the baby or dropped her with someone in the family.
I thought that was weird too. Like how can you cry for one and not the other. Why not for both? I know that's her son and regardless of what he done she lost her son but she lost her grandbaby first. The last age progressed over Ember that I know of: facebook.com/EmberSkyeGrahamIsStillMissing/photos/a.861026097316801/1573733092712761/?type=3&theater Matthew's mother worked for the sheriff during the time all of this happened. What the show is leaving out is it was her personal backup service weapon. Pretty sure, a lot of information that aren't being covered anymore on this case are gagged by a judge for the multiple legal suits between the families that have taken place or have took place, as well as the one against the County for Matthew's wrongful death. There is better coverage of this case out there. Like in the 20-20 and/or Date Line coverage the police threatened Matthew, saying they had found large amounts of blood and vomit throughout the trailer belonging to Ember and they would charge him for murder on the spot if he didn't fess up to accident and he told them he'd rather die than the confess to something he wasn't responsible for. The cousin has passed an independent lie detector performed by the PI. Not sure when this interview was conducted, but the PI just came out with that in the last year because now he's also writing his book. The family is or was in the middle of suing the county for wrongful death and they did have several orders were they cannot talk about key information involving the case. It's why the mother answers like she does, so that's not surprising when money is now involved. Even Crime Watch Daily first coverage of this case had more details. $400 dollars isn't going to get anyone far. Especially in California. That's short of a room for two nights and 2 days worth of meals. Sounds more like drug money or she gave him the money to deposit into his account in case he did get arrested again and she just didn't want admit it for personal reasons. You never know about her own personal life or the consequences she has to live with at home for supporting her son. That's not a question of right or wrong. It's the fact that we just don't know. I've had perps steal all types of things in front of other people and them not realize it at the time. I had a man admit to taking over 50 pills out of the bottle from his mother's purse as they were conversing going down the road. She noticed after she dropped him off and stopped at a gas station down the street. She claimed the weight of the bottle felt different as she moved to the side to retrieve her wallet to pay for gas. She called immediately and we were able to recover the majority of her stolen prescription. All this took place in less than an hour. There are also recreations out there of how a kidnapping like this could work using a similar set up in a camper. I listen to many podcasts, but the private investigator also did one. There are also professional sleuths who have connected Matthew to organized crime in Humboldt County, California. Also, with the missing hour, it's could be a drug deal from my experience, though I will not rule out anything. The way the CPS laws are structured in states is you're free to be criminal and raise your kids, as long as your kids aren't present during your criminal wrong doings. If you give Matthew the benefit of doubt, he already had a custody battle once, so if Ember was kidnapped at no fault of his own, but they are paying attention to the hour in which he made a drug deal of a narcotic while she was in the truck, then CPS and or the mother could and would use that as leverage for removal of his rights. He is certainly involved in more than just marijuana. And the thing is, if Ember was a targeted of kidnapping by someone who had no idea she had a medical disorder, they aren't, probably, going to be looking for the onset of seizures in a baby. It's pretty rare. Even if they found her having seizure, it's unlikely they'd do anything about it other than freak out. There's also the casual demeanor of her mother in her interviews. There was also speculation and theory that Jaime Graham Anderson had her boyfriend kidnap Ember and are harboring her with his family or friends because she didn't want Matthew to have custody or her be inside that trailer. We only know how the shoot out happened by police documentation. Police documentation often cannot be trusted when the suspect is killed because it will always frame the incident in a favorable light toward the side of the department for county and state IAB review. Death investigations are still performed for lawful or defense related deaths. All I know is a little girl is missing, and she needs to come home to her family.
She said she saw the baby in his arms. Cold be the baby was already dead. And he told cousin the baby was sleeping. She didn't say how long they stayed at her house. Could have been for just a few minutes. He could have gotten rid of her later. Maybe he scoped out a place to take her earlier... Just sayin. That would explain why cousin claimed to see her.
Nah. I doubt she gave it to him . Because only she can report to police that he took it. So if she did give him the gun she pretty much just set him up.
That’s Amazing your mom is taking her son to the sheriffs office for an interrogation and just happens to bring a gun and $400 in cash that’s crazy it’s just a miracle
Excellent point, love!!! What I noticed (20yrs in mental health & have been learning MORE about reading body language, speech patterns, etc.) was that she ONLY SPOKE TWO WORDS AT A TIME! As if she's trying to choose the RIGHT words, or she's pausing after every other word, being careful to NOT SAY that leads them to the baby! Choosing words VERY CAREFULLY, so as to NOT make it sound as though they not only KNEW what'd happened to the baby, but that they ALSO helped him!! She DEFINITELY, imo, is choosing her words carefully, in order to STILL "be innocent" of aiding & abetting!!
@@lisaavery7431 I agree, & noticed that she seemed to be choosing her words very carefully. She used her grief over her son as a way to keep crying to portray the right emotions, as well as be able to lie about her son without giving herself away.
@@amezfires9247 Exactly!! Well said, love!! Focus on the subject that brings out the "proper" emotion! And her tears are REAL, regarding the subject of her son! If she spoke about little Ember, Ember's mom, the allegations against her son/family, I would imagine that her words would be even MORE contrived, & if she DID manage to 'cry' about Ember missing, it'd only be the ole 'crocodile tears!'

I got that creeped out feeing too! No one is gonna think their cousin moving in with them and even sometimes their kid too, is a “perfect” living arrangement. Likeeeee nooo. There are some incest-ish vibes going on here. Either that or Sarah was in love with him or something. And that’s why she still covers for him. Very weird. Very not normal.
100+ degrees for 9 days in an area that was previously searched, and they get dna back in 1 hour. And pacifier laying on the side of the road. Wow, the sherff dept is good. No wonder they didn't want the FBI involved or even share their info with the private investigators that Matthew's mom Sheila hired.
I seriously was yelling WTF at the phone when I was watching this when they said that shit? What kind of person would think that having a gun near someone that's involved in this situation is a good idea?? Even if she happens to really not know anything then she is just dumb as hell.
Nikki Jackson You are so right! What mother and grandmother would normally carry $400 and a gun in her bag for god sake?! Let alone allow her son to have access to it?!
Matthew never came back home with the baby. The cousin is lying to protect him, but now that he’s dead how can she retract her words. She will have to live with this lie for the rest of her life.
His cousin talks about “it” happening . She knows what happened and she knows he’s guilty. She doesn’t want to be prosecuted as an accessory, that’s what purpose it serves for her to lie. Hope she rots.
Also, did anyone notice that she said baby Ember was still alive when Matthew came back. STILL ALIVE? So she’s basically saying she’s not alive anymore???
And the cousin said "they (the police) think it happened in the hour (drive), if it happened in the hour, where is she?, I mean, maybe he did it, maybe he didn't" I thought you saw her after that hour, biotch?
you pick up your son with a loaded gun and $400 cash? sounds like mum tried to help her son get away and Sarah is lying. Mum's crying tears of guilt that her son wound up dead!
It’s not uncommon whatsoever for people to carry a loaded gun in their purse with them at all times, it’s called concealed carry. As for the cash, again, it’s quite common for people (especially older people) to carry around hundred dollar bills in their wallets. I personally am not convinced that the mom was in on it per se, I think she was naive and was in denial about her son having anything to do with the disappearance. I do think the cousin knows a lot more than she’s letting on, though.
I have a feeling this is a story of someone making a mistake and being terrified of the consequences. The baby has seizures. The dad was sleeping. Baby has a seizure while dad was sleeping, dies. Dad flips out, goes to hide the body. Dad lies about it because he doesn't want to go to prison.
When the boy's mother said she can hear the emotions in his voice, I rolled my eyes and said to myself she only heard the lies he told! That poor baby, may the mother get some closure soon though.
Or he told the cousin she was sleeping in the carrier when he got back. She probably died on that hour trip and he thought he would get rid of the body in the night.
I'm sure she had seizure and he didn't notice an she died and he freaked out and took her somewhere and buried her or threw her in some water somewhere
@Onion Face it's very possible that the baby had a seizure as he was getting high or doing whatever he was doing an when he finally realized it then it was to late he freaked out an took the baby somewhere and disposed of her body because he probably didn't want to have to be questioned about how it happened due to negligence....but this definitely seems to be an accident due to the fact he was not paying complete full attention so I don't think I'm reaching the baby was known to have seizures so it's very possible sir or Ma'am
@@bigmona2741 The baby was on life saving medication, if anyone forgets to give such medication because they were intoxicated, that my friend is involuntary manslaughter! Manslaughter is enough to make someone behave irrationally.
Yes I agree. When my son was younger and we had to do a parenting plan for his vistion etc. I would not give in to him or judge bc they were wanting 1 overnight vist a week. I couldn't do it. He can come see him everyday for a bit if he wanted to but just couldnt let my baby stay overnight where I'm not at making sure he is ok.
And especially knowing the dad was doing drugs, "WEED" wich in some ways can be like a sedative. Smh .. I guess Embers mom really trusted the dude. Idk
I agree, he seemed mentally unstable anyway I would never ever even leave my 2 year old overnight or even in the day with any family member who I thought was even slightly unstable. But I wouldn’t leave her overnight with anyone anyway.
I'm glad I live in a family where we're eagle-eyed about everyone, even each other. We'll give each other the benefit of the doubt, but not to the point of full on denial like this family.
7:42 I'm no expert, but Sara's manner seems very deceptive- darting eyes and hand over mouth when she says the baby came back home with him. It's almost as if she's gesturing "speak no evil" while she pronounces the lie.
So proud of the way the mother is keeping her self together during the interview after losing her daughter and the cousin is definitely lying where in the hell was he for over an hr it all seems pretty fishy him and his cousin probably were doing drugs and not weed and something happened to her I think it might of been an accident who knows
@@kimfromtheblock7679 maybe he took the baby with him to get hard drugs so his trip wouldn't look suspicious, then the drug dealers took the baby because he didn't pay the last time. @@kimfromtheblock7679 You don't understand my comment. The poster said she thinks he was wired from doing drugs with his cousin and something happened to the baby as a result of it. That counters common sense unless the baby was already dead in the store.
If he is living in a trailer on her property, how in the heck would she know exactly what he did and at what time?? The store visit appears to be in the daytime, yet she's claiming he came home with Ember, then went to bed about 10:30 pm. WHAT?
All these years later and there are still flyers up offering a reward for her return. This area is country and there are just so many places to hide her body. Poor sweet baby 😢
This is such a sad story, I hope Jamie & her family find some sort of peace and get the clourse they deserve 😭❤️ Ember is such a beautiful little girl 💕
No this is why grandparents or other relatives need to take the proper steps to get custody of children of out of control addicts or parents who have mental disorders which make them act out violently. I had a baby at 17 and he's 24 now, no one killed him, no one beat him so the problem isn't kids having kids (although kids shouldn't have kids but for completely different reasons) it's kids being left in violent homes and growing up with parents who struggle with addiction or other problems.
Sunni Davis i understand many people are more mature and willing to pause their lives to take on a child but in my opinion the father of this child completely betrayed her and did not take the right steps as a father. if you’re a drug addict, you should not bring a child into this world
The father obviously has a substance abuse problem. He's been arrested for a DUI yet still smokes drugs. Why are they letting him alone with the baby? This is an obvious question.
After leaving the store, he went to get drugs or use what he had. He hadn’t taken her medication & something happened to that baby. I believe he didn’t want to face everything he had coming. More or less a suicide by cop. His mom knew exactly how to end it quickly for him.
Dad’s cousin knows what happened. Notice how she said “they think IT happened here”. What is IT, cousin? She could have said “ they think something happened here”.
She has the right to grieve her child. I'd do the same, no matter what my child would do, still my child through thin and thick and would rip this world apart for her/him
My husband and I always have cash. Not just credit and debit. We use those as well. But we always pull alot of cash out. However i know quite a few people that do not have bank accounts, cash checks at party stores. Not uncommon.
She needs that strength. I'm proud of her for being so strong. You don't know if she's crying on the inside or in her privacy. Different people react differently. Doesn't mean they don't have emotions.
I just watched that part. Horrible acting lady. She doesn't even know how obvious she sounds. Then wait what? Oh her ear to the scanner. Wow. Poor baby.
vlogress 11c....very true. There is no such thing as reefer madness, if you crack when smoking pot, you had issues before. Pot make you crave food in an enormous way. It has been legalized in Canada and there have been no murders because of smoking pot. Medical pot is also harmless and helps these people get through their day in dealing with their illness. Just sayin'.
@Onion Face yea I'm sure it does make it seem that way. Seeing that weed is taking from pharmaceutical companies pockets. I have ptsd from killing people and seeing my best friend cut in half. I have genetic mental issues as well. Ive been diagnosed by multiple drs as bipolar type 2. Ive been on every drug under the sun to keep my moods in check and anxiety in check. Ive been on meds meant for nerve damage. Ive been on seizure medication. They either made me a zombie or they caused severe side effects. I have been smoking weed for my problems for 8 years now and its the only thing that keeps me stable and functional at the same time. If I was a drug company I would be pissed and make it look bad too. That way people come back to popping my pills. It kills me how so many people act like weed is this evil thing but yet you're cool with getting shit faced on liquor daily.
The cousin just questioned her whole story about seeing the baby. Said earlier, twice, that she was 100% sure she saw her after the store, then at the end she said, "I don't think he hurt her bc if he did something to her in that hour, where is she?". Damnit, you just said you were 100% sure!! Now which is it????

Matthew's mom is a strange woman. 1. Having a gun isn't justification for cops to shoot you if you follow instructions when they try arresting you. 2. You need an ambulance if there's a dead body too, not just an injured person. So that's a lie, unless they cancelled the emergency part.
Naomi Sedgwick my question is why was she carrying $400? And a weapon if they were taking him to the police station to clear his name?? Wasn’t that were when he “ran away”
LMAO. You think cops won’t shoot if you just “comply”? Also, no. If it’s a known death they do not call the ambulance, they call the coroner. They only call the ambulance if they are unsure if the person is dead. What is an ambulance going to do? Ride around with him dead in the back? Especially when it’s a death due to police shooting. They have to collect evidence, crime scene photos and statements. All of which require the body to still be present and in the position it landed for proper investigation. Then, the coroner will take the body for autopsy and further investigation. They ambulance actually cannot take the body from the scene or touch the body if it’s a confirmed death. If you’ve ever seen a crime scene where the police are waiting for hours with the body covered, it’s because they have to await the coroner. She would obviously know that since she worked for the station. Why would you assume she’s lying about her son’s death? Just because you don’t like him?
Elizabeth Lopez Why would she not?? She had a legal gun she clearly ALWAYS carried around. It’s also not unusual for someone to have cash on them. She wasn’t bringing it to the police station, she just already had it in her purse. There’s not out of the ordinary for a grown woman who works for the police department to have a legal gun and cash.
Drug dealers are known to take children when they don’t get paid. He was on something stronger than marijuana. He put the life of his own child in danger.
I think he went to buy drugs from a dealer he owed money to. They either killed the baby or took the baby to sell or traffic. A terrible thought but it happens.
The mom is such a fraudulent individual. Who does she think she is fooling. She doesn't seem in mourning or depressed by the lost of her child. She is in on it. Look how she speaks during the interview no tears what so ever.
I am sorry but if your 6month old daughter had a seizure and dies you would not go a dump her body. You would go to a hospital or police station! His cousin looks so guilty that she was bullsh*tting to the police about seeing Ember.
The cousin almost slipped up when stating “it didn’t happen in here, it happened....the police think it happened, during “that” hour “. She knows he didn’t bring her back from the hour drive as did he which is why he ran instead of searching for her . Poor little angel 👼
Omg the cousin slipped up big time when she said she saw him bring ember back and put her in play pen then she said well what happened in that missing hour 😾
Owen Watt Some people can actually experience weed induced psychosis. It's not completely understood but genetics and prior mental health problems are thought to contribute to who experiences it.

His mother gave him the money and the gun, in my opinion. The cousin never seen the baby after he got back either, again...in my opinion.
Jonny Mac Mom definitely sounds like she was lying.
You got it, they are shady af.
Both Matthew's cousin and mother were lying😑 He even killed himself so no one will know what happened to baby Ember😞
My god. She’s been missing for over 7 years now. I can’t even imagine how this mother continues to feel
Does his mom just casually carry around $400 and a gun on a daily basis? hmmm....

The cousin weirdly talks about them living together as if they were a couple. I got the creeps from her.
I got that creeped out feeing too! No one is gonna think their cousin moving in with them and even sometimes their kid too, is a “perfect” living arrangement. Likeeeee nooo. He killed the baby, that explains the lack of care for his own life.
this is why you don’t let children have children
Who’s going to stop... children from having children!
Sunni Davis i understand many people are more mature and willing to pause their lives to take on a child but in my opinion the father of this child completely betrayed her and did not take the right steps as a father. if you’re a drug addict, you should not bring a child into this world
@Onion Face It's an endless circle when parents don't teach their kids how to be wise

So ANOTHER child has “disappeared” while with a parent. When will the laws change to protect these children?

Everyone and their grandma smokes weed every time i see someone acting like it makes you psychotic i cringe so hard
Owen Watt Some people can actually experience weed induced psychosis. It's not completely understood but genetics and prior mental health problems are thought to contribute to who experiences it.
Amie Harrison not even that the dude don’t look like he only smokes weed so everyone can get off that bullshit. He looks like a crackhead
@@angelwings1979 bs. The only way to know it's the pot is of they aren't doing anything else. Lots of people drink booze and smoke then blame the pot. When it's actually the booze. And what else do they do with it?. Many take drugs from a Dr. for some phony made up pain they claim they have.
Amie Harrison ya but like i've never met an angry aggressive violent stoner if you hurting ppl because of weed your not smoking weed you're on crack lol
Y’all really don’t feel that vibe from Jamie? She looked dead at the cameras and said the police are wasting time with Matt and he didn’t do it, to now saying his story didn’t make sense from the start and she knew something was wrong. Like why didn’t you say something back then? 🙄
Such a tragedy for so many people. ❤️Baby Ember❤️
I couldn’t imagine losing my son. My heart goes out to everyone who’s heart aches for that baby. 🥺
I’m only a psych student but I’ve been in therapy myself since age 10. This man sounds like he might have bipolar and might have had a psychotic break. I’ve had one before, I never hurt anyone but myself but they can be dangerous
🤡
There is something very very wrong with this whole story. So sad.💐💐💐🥀🥀🥀
Who sits around with $400 in their purse? And your loaded gun just chilling in the kitchen?
James Fahey people with money do shit I do
Tons of people do. I’m a cashier, I see people pull out their wallets and pull out several hundred dollar bills countless times everyday.
Who doesn't? And she was in law enforcement. She carried.
His mother is SUPER BLIND. He got rid of the baby, so clear.
