We do not wash our Bra's every single time we wear them, we usually wear them more than once. She may have fooled around with someone at some point before she was murdered and that's why there was someone else's DNA on the bra and it has nothing to do with this case. You can't explain away the circumstantial evidence they had against him.

Friends and family ALWAYS try to make murdered victims seem like victim of circumstances, NO ONE moves in your house without permission and if they do getting them out should be easy. I met a guy at the beach when I was 17 I didn't like his appearance or attitude, so I told him my name was Nicole, next day he was out side my home , that was a red flag before I knew what red flags were. The only way he found my home was to follow me home. He proceeded to 'happen to be in my neighborhood ' kept leaving things that my roommates were glad to receive. One day he came and asked when we can go out I told him NEVERERY!!!! he got mad and asked back for things I never recieved because of a deceitful roommate, to summarize he told me anytime he saw me with a Man he would hurt us both, thankfully he tried to take back his money after losing a gambling game, and he was killed on the spot. My condolences to the victim , we are ALL allowed to make mistakes however some cost us more than regret.

While there he figured he might as well add some strange dna to the mix to make him look innocent. Went in the bathroom with the bra and wiped it on the toilet or something. That’s why we don’t know what kind of dna sample it is, it was randomly planted by Duck

If it were easy to spot the abusers at the beginning we wouldn’t have the abuse rates we currently have. And honestly, the people in this thread are putting the blame on women instead of calling out the men who are assholes. So instead of “women, don’t let these losers in your lives” we should instead maybe say “men, don’t be losers” Edit: and yes this goes the other way around, but everyone is talking about women knowing better so there we are.

Why would you even date the person then ?? Your endangering the welfare of your loved ones. If you don't care about your safety, at least care about them💯 Even if you don't find out until after you start dating.....idc how long you've been dating.....throw up the penalty flag...... I’m wondering how long DNA stays on clothing items and how new Dawna’s bra was. Could someone have held the bra for a wife or girlfriend in a store and their DNA be left behind? Is that even possible? I think they’ve definitely got the right guy, but the DNA thing is weird.

    • @carolynlomax9498

WifeMomTeacherLife Yes, that’s definitely possible. Hell the DNA could have been from the person that checked her out when she bought it.

It will stay as long as the biological material stays (no clean up, wash etc). It's possible to transfer the DNA only by holding the bra, called Touch DNA. Yes, the got the right guy, no doubt. Poor lady and her lovely family, and her mom is so awesome.

There’s an Evil Lives Here episode about this case. Kevin’s brother talks more about him as a child and how his violent tendencies escalated. What I want to know is if the police ever tested Kevin’s brother and sisters dna again the sample. I don’t think they’d help Kevin willingly but it’s also not hard to imagine Kevin threatening them if they didn’t help. Kevin once claimed to be his brother John when he got arrested so he doesn’t have any qualms about involving family in the process.

there is no reason that the DNA on the bra should have been as big of a piece of evidence as it was. does her bra relate to how she was murdered? There’s a million reasons why someone’s dna might be on it that ISNT related to murder. had her boyfriend’s dna BEEN on it, that still isn’t proof of guilt - again, they were DATING.
