I absolutely love how the paint pooled on the skin, creating a more natural and irratic look to the skin, looked so good, I also really appreciate the variation in skin tone for your Orruk, keeping him close to the other one, so they are clearly still the same army, but just different enough to show a species skin tone variation, again making it look way more natural, I think if I were to do this guy the orruk would be a paler more grey skinned guy, to emphasize the difference in the rider and monster. I would love to see your take on the Vulcha model that released alongside this one. Thanks for the inspiration!
I followed this guide. Thank you so much. The only paint I couldnt find was claymore blade by army painter. I'm assuming its not as light as stormhost silver and not as dark as the machinegun metal.
Amazing, very good paintjob. Nothing but praises. Absolutely love the colors you have chosen. The only thing I would have done differently and this is just a matter of taste is, I would have painted the orc in a yellow/brownish skin tone to differentiate even more from the mount. Other than that... Perfection.
Thanks man! Yes!! I didn’t know the ork and mount skin tone were going to end up looking so close together! Definitely something that I would consider doing it again. I absolutely love the skin tone of the ork, I’d perhaps adjust the Sludgerakers colour to fix the potential issue! But again, it’s just a matter of taste isn’t it! I’m with you on it being something to adjust though
@@WatchItPaintIt I was sort of hopeful when you started out with what looked to be a yellowish color on the orc. And to deviate from the standard green orc. Still ended up looking amazing tho. Can't wait to see your next project.
@@WatchItPaintIt Yeah, there's nothing "mini" about that model; ive built larger but that's no mini. As far as having fun there's worries there, I mostly love the whole process; removing from sprue, cleanup, removing mold release, building (gap filling not so much) and painting.
This one is from Games Workshop’s Age of Sigmar game - elementgames.co.uk/new-warhammer-age-of-sigmar/orruk-warclans-swampboss-skumdrekk?d=10192 Happy painting!
I was in the middle of writing a comment about sub assembly and why you didn't do that.....and then you started explaining it......lol. yeah biggest model I done was a tech priest dominus and even him I sub assembled to make sure I got good angles on the arms, back and ...Distillery I guess.
Haha :-D yeah absolutely, I mentioned it in the assembly video too that I should possibly paint it before gluing it all :-D live and learn! But it’s good, I’m more than happy to mess up so others don’t have to :-) Oooh the tech guys have bits poking every which way! I think you made a good choice there. Thanks for commenting :-)

it's so beautiful, great job
Was a fun video to watch.
Thanks Dean!
Really good Job 😃 Greets from Germany
Now I want to finish assembling mine and paint it!
Get to work!! :-D
Thank you for this video, absolutely stunning paint job! You really helped me getting a grasp and figuring out the painting order :D
Thanks for the feedback. Really appreciate it. Absolutely amazing it could help you with painting yours!
That’s a nice paint job. No wonder you needed a rest after all that time. I pain in little bits so I don’t become bored with the same model
I just finished assembling this guy, today. I went with sub assemblies. Makes it so much easier to handle when painting it.
You did well! Yeah this was a pain to hold and paint fully assembled!
That was an epic journey - nicely done Ben!!!
Awesome job! Yeah can’t wait to see you do the vulture if you have one!!!!
Thank you! Damn, I don’t have the vulture but I might order one tomorrow, love how that mini looks! Are you getting one?

I believe the citidel contrast green is called ork green
Thank you for the video. I do like the way you filmed this, great watch. Keep it up, Nice result. I think i will even spend more time :)
You are definitely entertaining and a skilled painter. I’m going to be watching your videos. Amazing job
Nice Paintjob! You paint that model in the same time i paint a regular Kruleboyz
Awesome paintjob! But would be nicer in the end if the base was done also, imo! Makes a big difference
MAXIMUM DEREK!
Amazing, very good paintjob.

Looks great, and it will definitely take me longer than 3-5 hours to paint this "bigature" once I finally acquire it.
Ooooooh. I love the term “bigature”!!! Not heard that before. Doesn’t matter how long it takes you man, just enjoy yourself!!!

Hey mate, I challenge you to do a contrast painting guide on how to paint IDK Eidolon of Mathlann 😁
i think the green citadel wash you are looking at is biel tan green. do correct me
That’s the one! Thanks man! 10/10 ggwp!
I realise I'm late to the table on this but this is fab. I would love to know where you guys get these amazing models! Well done

Nice job, what paint base have you use ? Grey seer ?
I think it was wraith bone. Did I not say at the start?

To be honest I end up spending a few hours on even little models. Looks good though man
I wonder if sub-assembly is helpful...? 😂
I just got this for 30 quid, and if mine turns out half as good as this. I will be over the moon
Damnnnn you got that for a good price! I hope youre comes out amazing. Good luck to you
Avengers... sub-assemble
Haha :)
This assembly sound is super annoying. Couldn’t watch the video until the end because of this.
No problem!
