Asia hasn't known Christianity before 20th century, but Asian culture can beat the European. As far as I could understand from the books I read, the main difference between Europeans and Asians the moral basis of social behavior. Christian culture is built on guilt. It is bad to sin, because then you will be tormented by remorse. To avoid feeling guilty, a normal European tries to behave morally. In the same way, the Japanese, for example, strive not to violate ethical standards, but for a different reason. In their society, shame plays the role of a moral deterrent. The worst thing for a Japanese is to be in a shameful position, to be condemned or, even worse, ridiculed by society. Therefore, the Japanese are very afraid to commit some kind of indecency. I assure you, shame is more effective than conscience.

Hey, the parish my husband and I go to offers the Latin Mass and the priest is a parish priest. 90 percent of the members are large families and are 45 and under in age. It's so neat seeing all the young people enjoying the traditional mass. My husband and I are born in the 80s and are considered part of the older millennial generation. My husband is a convert from an evangelical Pentecostal upbringing. So it shows that the traditional Latin Mass is truly timeless and incredibly beautiful!
I'm praying that it comes back. The more younger generations attend these, the better chance we have to revitalize the Traditional Mass. As a child, I used to go to one over 40 years ago and made my first Holy Communion there. Then had to attend Novus Ordo when my family moved. Just this last month I have gone to 2 separate churches offering the TLM. I've decided to switch parishes. I'm so glad to get back to TLM.
Louelle Most of the Catholics I have met do not study the Bible they just learn what the church teaches them ,and have to agree with it .They are told the church is right and they must conform .The Bible teaches the opposite ,to test all things against the inspired word of God ,brought to us by Apostles. The teaching of the scripture alone is Biblical ,you would see that if you studied every reference to prophets and God's word . Heb. 1 ;1 says In times past God spoke through the prophets ,now he speaks through his son ,-.The traditions they refer to are Apostolic ones .Jesus spoke out against the traditions of the religiousJewish leaders ,which are the same as the Roman ones

Leifi Read the real history of the Roman church ,it does not follow the New Test. doctrine or example .John 14 : 26 . 16 :7,8. 17:8 .says the N.T. . was written by the APOSTLES or those with them under their instruction It is the inspired and sufficient word of God from Jesus through the Holy Spirit .2 Tim .3:16 &17. ch.4 v.3 . The Roman church started well but came under the influence of pagan Rome first with Constantine who worshipped the sun and all the other Roman gods .The Sun image appeared on one side of his coin and in the Roman church down though history .The story of the vision of a cross before the battle on the bridge was made up later .The arch to celebrate his victory was covered in pagan images nothing Christian .So as a pagan he attended church meetings ,and built the first 3 churches . Then even worse shortly after him the church was made the state religion .That meant pagans joined the church without being converted . The true believers left for the alps .The head of the church was called a Pope ,in the time of Constantine he was called a bishop . So Peter was never a Pope even if he had visited Rome which is not certain as Paul who was there, never mentioned him being there .The next large problem is the conduct of the church leaders throughout history is evil .1John tells us a true believer does not contiue in a life of sin .The Pope eventually took over running the Empire .THE TRUE BELIEVERS spread from the Alps into France ,as they were hunted down and murdered by the Popes men .The doctrine of the Apostolic church was changed over the centuries. Example they claimed Mary was sinless when the Bible says ALL HAVE SINNED. Mary herself called Jesus her redeemer.The gospel was changed from believe and repent preached by Peter to put your child though the ritual of Christening and that imparts the Holy Spirit . Not taught by the Apostles , and much more .Then look at the true history of the POPES THEY WERE MURDERERS ,FORNICATORS,AND FAR FROM BEING CHRISTIAN SO SUCCESSION IS A JOKE.NOWHERE DID IT SAY THE ROMAN CHURCH SHOULD BE HEAD OVER ALL THE OTHERS .
One of the beautiful things about the Latin Mass is one can be in a foreign country and understand the Mass. It's unfortunate that Latin was removed as well as the traditional doctrine.

I read a story once about an American paratrooper during D-Day. He came upon a church celebrating morning mass. Being no men in the town he put down his gear an took the position of altar boy. When mass ended and he helped the priest take off his vestments he was wearing a German uniform. Seems the priest was a German chaplain. Since mass was in latin he had no idea. One went one way the other went the other way.😆

The best, greatest and most profound thing I ever did in my life was to "discover" the Tradition Latin Mass after a lifetime wasted stumbling around in the modernist miasma that is "Catholicism" today. I managed to persuade my wife to come to the TLM and later my daughter. She in turn converted her new husband from atheist to Traditional Catholic. Our next hope is for the conversion of our pagan son/brother and his fiance. We frequently offer up our Masses for this.

Adrian Tan-Fahed I love the maronite mass. We have a large maronite community here in toronto and I've had the pleasure of attending the mass there several times. It is a beautiful cross between east and west. I'm thinking of doing a video on a local maronite parish someday soon.

This is beautiful - this is what people need. I think the days of the "Buddy Christ" Are over. Such depictions of our Lord do not help people grow in virtue. People desire that which is beautiful, that which is eternal. How can we the people believe in The True Presence if the Liturgy and Priests are not reverent to it? Chris I wondered why some would say the RCC made up all the bibles etc. then about two months ago I learned they did make a bible God only knows the amount of lies in it. But the sheeple eat it up. I think we can contribute a lot of it to the music and the cathedrals. Then then they get can pay to have their sins forgiven three months ahead of time.
OoOoOooh MY god Foul language is unnecessary and counter-productive. Shouting abuse will achieve nothing. Loving these people will help them away from this self-righteous cult. Mass using the Tridentine Roman Rite is available and, so Pope Emeritus Benedict has told us, was never fully shut down. The form of services is not the point here, an oppressive and anti-life mentality (afraid of the free gifts the loving God has given us) is very much the point.
My beautiful Roman Catholic Grandmother, raised me in and most importantly shared the spiritual and intimate beauty of the Traditional Mass. I was the grandchild she chose to go to the Latin Masses with her. She put me through Cathechism to ensure I understood how humbled and honored it feels to have your first Holy Communion and partake of the Eucharist. She had 50 other grandchildren from her 8 children (in a very close Hispanic Catholic family), but she shared the Latin Mass with me. ❤

@Katie caldwell. I wish more beautiful cathedrals and churches were represented though, and a young man in a boy scout uniform holding the paten wasn't reverent, he should've been in a cassock at least. I'm picky because my primary liturgy is from ICKSP and it's other worldly.

I thank God I found this Mass again. I was an Altar Boy 1962 through 1965 before the changes. I am now 68 years old. This Mass will save the Church and the world. Spread THE WORD

Traditional Catholicism is not about beauty. It is about the Faith. The Church stands on two pillars; Tradition and Scripture. The new religion stands only on scripture.

Merry Christmas to you to! We never said the rituals weren't beautiful, nor that the true faith is not beautiful. We simply made the point that true Catholicism is not true because of the rituals, but because of the faith, which is different from the new "dogmas" of the Conciliar religion.

I know you are most likely traditional but I'm gonna tell you anyway. The god of that church isn't the Creator of this earth and won't be the Creator of the next. If Your church is the right church then they should be able to tell you prophecy. Do you know why they don't? The bible describes the papacy as the antichrist, the beast system. The pope (antichrist) can not forgive sins and in fact he is a Jesuit. Read the Jesuit oath on youtube. How can someone that cruel be a man of God?

If the Pope is the anti-Christ, why is still here the Catholic Chruch after 2000 years. Tom I know the pope doesn't do prophecy. I said he is in prophecy. In the book of Daniel King Nebukenezar, sorry can't spell the name, had a dream. This dream was a timeline, A metal man which represented kingdoms of the future. This was the kingdoms Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece and pagan Rome. In visions he seen the same kingdoms but Papal Rome was added. In Daniel chapter 7 Prophecy describes the pope coming into power and killing Gods people. Revelation chapter 13 and 17 also describes things of blasphemy. Speaking great things against the Most High. Daniel chap 7:8,24,25 the little horn is the pope the first pope was in 538ad-1798ad we know this as the dark ages. Revelation 13:2 describes him as a leopard and we know leopard do not change their spots. He will kill again. At the present time he is trying to push Sunday rest when not if a National Sunday Law is enforced God's Sabbath keeping people will be killed again on a global scale for God will withdral His Holy Spirit from the planet and those who do not keep His commandments and have the faith of Jesus will face the wrath of God this can be found in Rev 14:6-18. Rev 14:8-11 tells of a warning, as you are receiving now, for those who love God to come out of mystery Babylon or face the last plagues or great tribulation. The KJV is the best bible to read for the prophecies. Daniel and Revelation are the end time prophecies. Of course we need the Holy Spirit to discern God's Word. In Rev 13 the sea beast is the papacy and the land beast is America. Listen to the world leaders and read Catholic newsletters after you read the books and chapters I stated. You can see it is all true.

I am Catholic and I attend multiple services a week - during the week the services are so much more solemn than on Sunday. On Sunday they have bands and lame singers who can't hit notes - but during the week the ceremonies are reverent and respectful and serious. Sigh.

I saw a young priest in Lourdes celebrating a novus ordo mass outdoors in Polo shirt, shorts and sports shoes. The cared vestment he was wearing was a stole. Take a look at the gallery of novus ordo messes on the Traditio website. I was so appalled at what I was seeing I could not go onto the end of it.
As a convert back in 2015 /baptized, confirmed in the NO, I nearly left and struggled greatly until I found the TLM. My Journey is long but its been so fruitful with many traditional old prayers and having a better understanding of my faith. I thank God for the TLM, I have no clue why PF is trying to destroy us! Its not far . Pray the rosary and learn your Catholic faith Pre-Vat II!
When I was going to a Catholic school we had this beautiful tradition and the Latin Mass..there's just no compare with the modern version of our faith..
I converted to the Catholic at the age of 20 as I married a Catholic, and also my sister married a Catholic and became one.
I am now 81 this year.. and she is 78!😊

The music in this video is, in fact, by a contemporary Catholic from Estonia, Urmas Sisask. He favors a cappella style and seems, to me, anyway, almost part of the Baltic contemporalry sound along with Arvo Part. Part is, in fact, Orthodox but composes for the traditional Cathlic liturgy as well.

The Holy Mass is magnum mysterium - a great mystery - in any language. It befuddled greatest of saints, and it befuddles highest angels in heaven, who know all human languages instantly. Translate it poorly, so that "any fool can understand it," and remove its sacrificial nature so "that it is not offensive to same those fools", and divine mystery is gone. What is left is a pile of human foolishness.

If THIS was the normal form of the Roman Catholic liturgy, as well as the typical ethos of Catholics, then Orthodox-Catholic dialogue would be more productive, and it might become possible to truly re-create the One, Holy, Catholic, Orthodox and Apostolic Church. The current Roman Catholic Church would just be those celebrating the Roman Rite of the Liturgy, and the current Orthodox would be celebrating the Eastern Roman Rite. Alas, with a bastardized Novus Ordo as the norm, it shall not be.

The innovators wished for a more ecumenical mass, and what they designed was one which pushed away the eastern orthodox, solidified protestants in their rebellion, and opened up a practical schism within the Catholic church between traditionalists and modernists.

Very good but the four marks of the Church are that she is One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic (actually five as per St. Pius X---Persecuted). If the Orthodox came back into the Church, they would celebrate the Eastern Rite Liturgy of whatever particular Church they were in. The correct name for the Latin Liturgy is the Roman Mass.

I love how this is paralleled with the last video I just watched titled "The Beauty of the Catholic Church" which was put out by the Archdioceses of Milwaukee. It is funny how it had as its background music a happy soft rock tune, with cute motivational quotes from saints and the like, showing the sacraments, including the mystery of the Eucharist. It spoke so much to how little care they put into understanding how beauty is vital for encountering the divine. This video, while having no words other than the priest's exclamation and the laities response chanted throughout, I felt as though this highlighted the true beauties of the Catholic church in ways the other video simply could not. Beauty is needed in our parishes. Lets get it back.

Beautiful indeed. I wish I had a traditional Roman Catholic church near me. Unfortunately at the churches I do have within reach (and even these require a long drive that's extremely taxing on my fragile health) you will not hear Stabat Mater or Dies Irae Lacrimosa. Instead it feels like they're still stuck in the 1970s, a time when certain people within the church felt Roman Catholicism had to portray itself as a hippy faith to be more in line with how young people felt. Thus Latin mass had to be replaced with contemporary French using simple language and fashionable choices in vocabulary, and traditional hymns had to be replaced by cheerful songs that are accompanied by an acoustic guitar and make you feel like you're at summer camp rather than church. All of which I feel history has proven were misguided decisions even back when this whole thing started. I'm only a fairly recent convert to Christianity, but the two millennia of continuity are such a powerful thought: the idea that we are saying the same prayers, singing the same hymns together with millions, even billions of others around the world and across the ages, the fact that we all share that Holy Communion together is something that should be treasured. It's just one of the things that make the church itself as an institution indispensable. If God and Christ are eternal and timeless, and the Church is the body of Christ then shouldn't the church be eternal and timeless as well? Unfortunately many of our local Churches in France have chosen to trade in that timelessness for something that felt contemporary in the 1970s, but just feels silly and out of place in a church in 2021. This video shows just us just a glimpse of the beauty of the Roman Catholic faith, and its millennia old traditions. This is what we should aspire to be. God deserves all the beauty we can offer him during worship. After all it is called worship for a reason. And this is what I feel Evangelical Christianity gets wrong: worship isn't about our individual needs and our personal relationship with God. All of those things strive to place US in the center of worship, when God should be central. Worship is where we praise God, and our personal needs don't have to take center stage during worship for God to take care of them; He is omniscient. God knows our pain, our wants, our fears even when we never explicitly speak of them. So let our worship be the purest worship. He deserves our worship and praise, He deserves all the beauty and love we can dedicate to His name. He deserves our respect, humility, and utmost reverence. He is not a co-worker, classmate, friend, or family member; He is our Heavenly Father, the Alpha and the Omega, our Creator. He deserves our very best, and so much more. And I believe we are best equipped to serve Him by staying true to the timeless traditions of His church, not by trying to compete with modern trends. Yes, this requires more effort on our part as faithful. But no one ever said the path we chose was going to be the easiest path through life.
