We NEED a randomizer mod that randomizes the fish pond requests. Just imagine like a small snail or a silly little carp asking for Idk Elvish Jewelry or Dragon Teeth

The plot twist we never expected:
*The final boss is Snond*
I wonder if it would have been faster by foraging for spring forage, unlock fish tank, forage on beach, get a crab in the mines while grinding for stone. Finish crab pot bundle to get 3 pots. fish to raise money and get algae and seaweed and use the fishing money to buy the pond.
For the 100 stone, you should have went to the mines and mined those big rocks. You would have only needed to break like 5 of them to get the 100. You can just spam the first floor every 5 minutes in game to keel getting them. Not sure how productive it would be energy wise, but that's my go to way to get mass amounts of stone right away

A bit of a thing that could have helped was when you were running down to check the traveling cart, you should have checked the spring onions, but not for food, spring onions are a liked gift for linus, since you pass his tent and the area he usually hangs out when going to the lake/mine, giving him one 2 times every week and talking to him while you passed during the challenge would have opened wild bait as an option by late summer at earliest, mid fall by worst. Talking gives 20 friendship points per (you can use talking 3 times to cover an entire month of not gifting/talking to an npc with 4 spare friendship points remaining.). If you only give silver quality spring onions you can give 8 of them and talk with linus 12 times (3 times a week) to make 1000 or 4 hearts with a bit extra for a chance at missing a talk, if you only talk to linus on thursdays, and talk&gift friday/saturday for the friendship points you can get the wild bait recipe in 4 weeks with only a few seconds taken from your timer if your already heading in that direction.
Instead of spending money on the crabpot, you should have used the standard bundle layout, did the community center/wizard cutscenes and completed the crab pot bundle using the beach forage and getting a crab drop from mines, would have been significantly faster, you get 3 for better snail odds and you then only needed fishing lvl 2 for the bait recipe or get lucky like you did with getting the bait while fishing for money.
The hardwood problem would be as simple a fix as breaking enough copper for 5 bars and a furnace while getting the stone needed for the pond and getting enough money while fishing for the axe upgrade and the pond (I would also recommend getting the fiberglass rod asap I always get it to make a profit 2 days after purchase) , as you only need a copper axe to break the circle stumps (they drop 2-3 hardwood each).
The only one you didn't see in that third set of quests during this run was the 5 solar essence request, that one is just a scrub unless you speedrun to floor 80.
Looking at the wiki the best luck possible (ie. the least amount of effort) would be a fiber - cave carrot - field snack combo, of which the first one is a 50% chance, then the chance is a 33.3% chance of getting both the cave carrot and field snack in their respective request brackets.
So basically the best way to shave like 20 min minimum off that time is to prepare with the goal of upgrading the axe and buying the pond, making sure to friend linus at least up to 4 hearts, you can't unlearn a recipe once you aquire it 😁, complete the crab pot bundle (this can be done in 1 ingame week with a little luck, I would recommend getting 300 wood during the first 2-3 days for fixing that bridge at the beach as you can also find seaweed lying on that side sometimes) and be prepared to scrap that attempt in the case of solar essence.
