As for your last comments in this video, both you and Becky look naturally happy, and that’s beautiful! Your both beautiful. Thanks for the video!
Awesome! I visited Stonehenge years ago when I visited the U.K. 💚
I would love to camp there! ⛺💜💜💜
Totally normal to miss the army and feel down, I still do after being out for 8 years, but then I remember I don't have to stag on anymore and it makes me feel a million tomes better 😄
Still worth it! 😂
Brilliant video and perfect timing for me. My dad died three weeks ago but he was also in the Army back in the day and use to drive the old Centurion tank. He was also based down by Salisbury Plain and we use to visit the stones. But back then you could go right up to them and walk amongst them. Anyway thanks for this Jake, brought back some fantastic memories.
Ohh Tony I’m so sorry to hear that, my thoughts are with you.
I’m glad it bought back some nice memories! Chin up mate 🙏
You make a lovely couple.Kind regards Trev Barnsley South Yorkshire England. One Love .
Thank you Trev! Hope you’re well! 🫡✌️
You never stop missing, I’ve been out since 90, in 10 years. It just ain’t the same being a Civy. You will always have your memories but time to make better ones! Live the channel BTW
So love the Drove. Lovely to see you both having a wonderful chill out time. Always needed. Next time your down you should pop into Glastonbury area. So amazing. Take care and keep loving the life ❤
🌀😊🌀
The mounds are burial arrows. You should see Silbury Hill in Avebury
Nice lid. Glad to hear you are feeling better. The dinner footage towards the end of the video made me hungry. Thanks for the cool views of Stonehenge, it really looks like a magical place. Take care.
Glad you’re perkier - a bit of you time is needed now and again. Take it easy and keep on keeping on 😊🙏🏼
Having a lot of my holidays in Somerset as a kid feels like my second home . Mendip hills comes to mind martok or it mite have bin somerton was are base. I am sure it made me engage in nature. If u have that not much else matters
What makes us feel happy in life is having a purpose. When you were in the Army, your purpose was to help protect the country. Jake's journey to your next purpose won't be linear but will take a bit of time to get there. A bit like being out in the wilderness, sometimes there's ups and sometimes downs and every once in a while we have to back track. Start to allow yourself to consider what your purpose will be Jake.
Thank you Phil, kind words & very wise 🙏
You live in a beautiful part of the world and I’m so glad Project Amber recommended your channel. I’m enjoying watching your channel from the beginning and looking forward to following your journey as you go.
Thank you for your Service 🇬🇧👊🏽
Thank you! Really appreciate your support! Thank you for the follow! ☺️ 🫡
OMG girl outdoors been following Becks for years! Hi Becky x
Good to hear your feeling better I felt the same when I left the army many moons ago
Good stuff mate, normal to miss the army. Your army friends will always be there for ya anyways, so don’t sweat it. Keep going with the channel as it’s great 👍
Great park up for a few days, enjoy Jake and Bec's such a spiritual place.
Great to see you are doing well dude! Keep up the great content!
Takes a while Jake to find your new purpose, contentment etc. Keep busy, set goals, adventure as and when you can afford it. I’ve been out 9 years now and at times I do miss my mates. Thing is look to the future and not so much at what was. You will get there. Now live in Sweden and do a lot of outdoor stuff, which is on the doorstep. It’s good for the soul. It beats camming up around Area 5 or Hill Bottom Farm. 😜🇸🇪
Nice one Jake.
Mate I know exactly how you feel about SPTA I did 5 years in Bulford and so many exercises on the Plain. Lots of time in Tottenham wood, Sidbury Hill and on the Beacon above Bulford. Really does feel like home when ever I get to pass through. Another cracking video Jake. 💪🏽👍🏽
I live in bulford as my dad is in the army so very close to stonehenge great video and love to go for walks on the plain
if you're ever back down this way mate give me a shout, be good to see you again!
Will do bro hope ya good!
Was just a flying visit but see ya next time ♥️
Transition back to civvy life can be hard and you are even more remote now your in the van and have time on your hands try and stay busy keep active and give it time not like me when I left my time was spent drinking and nearly ended in a very downward spiral stay safe brother
Since watching your video, I am currently saving up for a Van 😂
I don’t know if you see this question as this video was posted 3 months ago, but I’ve been a bushcrafter/trail backpacker since the 80’s and have practiced leave no trace since it became a thing (believe it or not, there was a time where you could follow the trails without a map by all the soup cans littering the paths. But I have a question….
Isn’t it going too far to advise to pack out toilet paper? Why not just bury it in the hole you dig with a trowel? TP is the most biodegradable material made by man, one good seeping rain and it’s dissolved. Ever tried to wet TP and wipe your bum? It’s a skill, a real skill not to get shit on your fingers. I’ve heard others say they pack out their TP, I just figured they were radical AF.
if you want to get close to the stones go on the solstice
As a kid in 62 I am pretty sure we played on them! .ps playing was getting out walking running and being free.
Just watched a few videos after trying to find inspo for a van project myself, and you sound like you are from my area?
Love your videos, I am pretty shore the big bumps on the ground are massed graves.
First time I saw Stonehenge was on my way to Lark Hill from Aldershot to go on exercise at 4am as the sun was rising
My boy still missing the army
It’s good to see you in a different frame of mind this week Jake. Adjusting to Siviz can take time and it helps to have a bit of structure, which I think you are lacking.
Anyway, don’t give up following your dreams mate, it was nice to se Becky too.
Rock on 🍻
Thank you Pete, the structure is building now, slowly but surely 🤘
They are I think called a tumulus, which is an ancient burial mound.
