      . When you speak out...the air molecules vibrate and transfer the sound took place from one end to other. But its range is limited beacause there is a loss of energy because it face drag which is also a kind of friction in air. A lot of other factor also play important role in sound....like density of air etc etc..

Not only did they learn something they are now in the background discussing things that would be cooler, or 'totally not cool' with and without friction. Thank you so much for taking the time to be silly and make something that sounds so boring into something so fun!

    • @enveloreal

      Most drag is from friction with the air, which is why meteors burn up when they fall down to Earth. However the air would have inertia, so you're partially right, but it would still be too little to slow you down if you had to stop quickly. On a side thought, winds would be insane because there is nothing to stop the air from circulating around the globe.

    without friction, that tiny wheel won't even roll

  • @tonycao8815
    @tonycao8815 6 років тому

    at 0:18 you see someone on a scooter WITH THE WHEELS TURNING, that would not be possible since the spinning motion of the wheels is a result of static friction. In order for a wheel to start spinning, a torque or force must be applied to the wheel. The force of the static friction opposing the direction of the force prevents the wheels from sliding and in turn begins a rolling motion. In a world without friction, this would not happen, without static friction the wheel would not spin due to a lack of an oppositional force but rather the scooter would just slide.

    But, theoretically, as long as it is possible to not go through things (up until a specified point) (such as a wall; you can't, as a solid, go through a wall, at least not until you break it) ,friction exists as they both are the same thing.
